Watanabe Shi laughed with disdain. Lu Feng's threats sounded more like a joke to him. As long as Wall Street intended to suppress Jiafeng Electronics, once Wall Street capital intervened, the founder would almost certainly be squeezed out, according to past practice.
In Watanabe's eyes, Lu Feng was now like a dying worm.
"Very well, you're still arrogant. I hope you'll still have this ambition a few months from now. Let me also tell you, the international community isn't like your home country where you can just pull some strings and run rampant. It's not as simple as you think. All I can do now is pray you survive." Watanabe Shi leaned back in his chair, feeling an indescribable sense of satisfaction. "Being a clown at high-class banquets is quite nice. Watanabe Shi didn't give Lu Feng a chance to speak and hung up the phone directly.
Lu Feng listened to the busy tone on the phone and scoffed disdainfully. A nation is made up of people, and when a nation displays a bullying and servile attitude, most people here are the same.
Lu Feng had no time to pay attention to him; he had a lot of things to do here.
Su Yourong's anger had subsided somewhat. Tomorrow night was the JPMorgan Chase dinner, so she called Lu Feng again.
"Hey, there's a JPMorgan Chase dinner tomorrow night at seven o'clock. There will be a lot of people there. I just hope you can do one thing: don't embarrass yourself like you did the other day," Su Yourong asked.
"Don't worry, what are you saying? Let me tell you, I'll make up for the embarrassment you suffered that day by tomorrow night," Lu Feng said in a deep voice.
"Oh dear, please don't. I just hope you don't embarrass yourself any further." Su Yourong sighed and said, "If you really have no other choice, just go find Mr. Feng. So many of them have come; they can't just sit around doing nothing, can they?"
“They’re leaving tomorrow. We had a fight tonight. I can only lament the ruthlessness of capital. As soon as they saw that I had angered Wall Street and was about to face annihilation, they immediately turned their backs on me.” Lu Feng sighed and said, “They want to take all the benefits and don’t want to take any risks.”
"Alright, alright, let's not talk about this anymore." Su Yourong was somewhat pleased to hear that Jiafeng Electronics was going to go under. Now that they needed her help, they were being led by the nose. Once Lu Feng really lost power, wouldn't he be completely manipulated by her?
"Then you can stay here with me tonight."
"Huh?" Lu Feng was taken aback and asked, "Why would I go to your place?"
"What do you think? I came all this way to help you, shouldn't you give me something in return?" Su Yourong said irritably.
"Didn't we agree before that I'd give you a small cut after the funding was successful? It's not like I'm working for free." Lu Feng said into the phone, "I'm taking a shower and resting. I'm very tired after today."
"Just one night's stay is a bonus, is that not okay? Do you want to go tomorrow or not?" Su Yourong threatened.
"Are you just manipulating me and playing with me?" Lu Feng said, somewhat annoyed.
"Yeah, can't I play with you? Hurry up, wash up and come over, I'm waiting for you!" Su Yourong said and hung up the phone.
Lu Feng was extremely frustrated. Although the two of them were supposed to be mutually beneficial, he felt uncomfortable being manipulated like this.
"Damn it, this business is like selling sex to the hell," Lu Feng cursed, secretly thinking, "I'll get you." Just as he was about to leave, his phone rang again.
He returned from the doorway and answered the phone, saying, "This is Lu Feng, who is this?"
"Mr. Lu, hello, this is Kelly's assistant. I'm glad you can participate in this great cause. You have been identified as a friendly partner, and we will provide you with some conveniences. Do you have time now? Let's meet in person." It was a woman's voice on the other end of the phone.
"Really? That's great! You guys are really efficient. Of course, it's possible right now. It'll be right here in the restaurant downstairs at the hotel. How about it?" Lu Feng said excitedly.
"Sure, please provide the address."
After telling the other party the address, Lu Feng called Su Yourong again to tell her that he couldn't come. Su Yourong didn't believe him at all and insisted on coming to see for herself.
A dozen minutes later, a Black woman in her forties walked into a private room in the downstairs restaurant, followed by a tall white woman, who was over 1.7 meters tall and wore high heels, making her look even taller.
She had golden wavy hair and wore tight shorts. Western women are known for their curvaceous backs, and hers was particularly well-developed. She wore a strapless top that revealed her navel, and her slender waist had a powerful and beautiful appearance.
As soon as this woman walked in, not only Lu Feng but even Su Yourong stared at her. Her figure, attire, and appearance were all eye-catching.
"You must be Mr. Lu?" The black woman noticed that Lu Feng's gaze was fixed on her back, and a smile inadvertently appeared on her face. Who could resist such a beauty?
"Yes, that's me. Hello, hello, please sit down." Lu Feng stood up and shook hands.
"And who is this?" she asked, looking at Su Yourong.
"This is my assistant, it's alright."
“I still hope this lady will go outside for a moment,” the Black woman said, staring at Su Yourong.
Lu Feng glanced at her sideways, and Su Yourong didn't say much either. She picked up her bag and strode out. The black woman then sat down and introduced her, "This is Jennifer. She's quite familiar with some of the companies on Wall Street!"
"Hi!" Jennifer raised her small hand and waved to Lu Feng. She looked like an innocent young girl, but Lu Feng could smell a special fragrance from the moment she came in, which made him unconsciously feel a sense of goodwill towards the woman in front of him.
