The next day, at 10 a.m., Watanabe Shikata arrived at the company. He seemed to be in a good mood. As Jiafeng Electronics lost ground in the Thai market, his communication with Eisen became more and more frequent, and even the company's senior management began to notice his connections on Wall Street.
The office has been cleaned, and major newspapers from around the world are laid out on the table. A freshly brewed cup of hot coffee was placed on the table just two minutes ago. Everything here is in perfect order.
Watanabe hung his suit jacket on the hanger and began his work, turning on his computer and staring at it idly, knowing it would be time to eat soon.
I happened to see an email, and after opening it and glancing at it, I started to frown. Jiafeng's stores had all opened?
"He's provoking me!!!"
Watanabe's voice was unusually somber!
He picked up the phone on the table and called Zhatai. After the call connected, he said, "This is Watanabe Shi. You said in the email that vandalism like before is not suitable to happen again?"
“Yes, it can’t happen again. The pressure last time was already immense. After all, the whole world was watching, and other companies were also observing. The country doesn’t want capital flight. I’m under a lot of pressure right now!” Zha Tai was afraid that this man would make him do it again.
He had already used all his connections to suppress the last incident, and if things were to go wrong again, it would be beyond his ability to handle.
Watanabe Shiya understood that if it were just simple vandalism, Lu Feng could keep renovating and coming back. He needed to take a two-pronged approach: to make Lu Feng lose hope in the Thai market and to make the capital behind him lose hope in him.
"Starting today, intensify marketing efforts and increase market share as quickly as possible. Whether it's through discounts or advertising, we must increase them to encourage other manufacturers to follow suit, creating a squeeze effect in the market and simultaneously increasing the threat to Lu Feng," Watanabe instructed. "Understood?"
"Okay, I understand!"
Zha Tai was relieved; he had managed to keep his well-paying job.
After hanging up the phone, Watanabe felt that a two-pronged approach wasn't enough; he also needed to work on the capital side to put more pressure on Lu Feng. So he picked up the international phone and called Eisen.
The conversation revolved around the fact that it was only a matter of time before Lu Feng was defeated in the Thai market, and that he would send a relevant market report to Eisen, asking Eisen to find a way to get the report to the senior management of the Schroder Group.
What lies before Lu Feng is an unfamiliar business environment abroad, a crisis directly related to his personal safety, and behind him is the Schroders Group, whose international capital may withdraw its investment at any time.
Under such dual pressure, Watanabe believed that Lu Feng's mental breakdown was only a matter of time, and that once he was finished, Jiafeng Electronics would collapse.
In Europe, at midnight, a report analyzing the Thai electronics market sits on the table.
Inside the meeting room, the entire senior management of Schroder Group's investment group sat with red eyes. Investing in Jiafeng Electronics had now become a dilemma.
If the investment is withdrawn, a penalty for breach of contract will be imposed according to the preliminary agreement. However, if the investment contract is continued, Jiafeng Electronics' current situation is indeed not suitable for such a high valuation.
John, the vice president who signed the contract, is under tremendous pressure. He has already told the higher-ups why he signed the contract with Lu Feng in the first place. Even if Lu Feng really has a close relationship with Lewinsky, this amount of money is not worth it.
"What should we do? The leaders at headquarters told us to take the risk ourselves," a senior executive asked.
No one present spoke; Li Lin had been relentlessly trying to get the contract signed.
"In my opinion, it's better to postpone this matter. Let the contract remain at this stage. Anyway, the investment group's performance this year cannot be affected, otherwise the shareholders will be furious."
"I agree to this plan!"
"Furthermore, I think we should have Jiafeng Electronics' senior management come up with a plan for overseas markets as soon as possible and urge them to produce results quickly."
"We can delay this investment contract as long as possible. As long as we don't transfer the money, anything goes. The preliminary agreement only mentions this year, which means we just need to fulfill the contract before December 31, 1994."
“It’s only August now, four months is enough time. If he hasn’t sorted out the Thai market by then, we will cancel the contract on the grounds that he provided false production data.”
Everyone present nodded in agreement; this was a feasible solution.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this solution, and smiles appeared on their faces. They called the legal department over and studied the matter for a long time before the meeting adjourned.
Lu Feng didn't leave the hotel all day. He sent people out to take Sirami to buy a lot of clothes and cosmetics, whatever was nice, to completely dress her up.
As evening fell, Kevin led two people into the room.
"Sit down!" Lu Feng casually ordered, puffing on his cigarette.
"Mr. Lu, this is the latest market data. Currently, there are more than 3,000 international foreign-funded enterprises in the Thai market, and more than 20 of them compete with us. Apart from some with extremely low market share, the main competitors are Ericsson, Samsung, Motorola, Sony, Toshiba, and Panasonic. The vast majority of them are from Japan. Due to their proximity, their freight costs are lower, so they are particularly competitive in the local market."
"Among them, Motorola has the highest market share, reaching 30%. Moreover, their products are more complete than those in China, and their after-sales service is better. The average consumer spending power here is strong, so these companies pay more attention to them."
