The person on the other end of the phone said firmly that the plan was definitely not going to work out, and that the idea of shutting down Guangming Electronics was completely out of the question. Zha Tai sensed that something was wrong.
He looked rather grim after hanging up the phone. Vera on the other end noticed his odd behavior and asked, "What's wrong?"
"There was a minor problem, but it's not a big deal. It's a done deal now, and it won't cause any major trouble," Zha Tai said, sounding like he was trying to comfort himself.
“That’s right. With such a huge market pressure from our two companies, plus other companies starting to run promotions, where is there any room for him to survive?” Vera smiled confidently and said, “Don’t worry, even if Sun Wukong is the most powerful, he can’t escape the Five Finger Mountain.”
Zha Tai nodded slightly; these words were a form of comfort.
Unlike Zhatai, Vera's understanding of Lu Feng was entirely based on some information, which he considered to be just a small company that wanted to go overseas. He never understood why the headquarters valued such a person so much.
In his eyes, he could take him down with the slightest flick of his finger, and that good-for-nothing Zhatai had been busy for so long, but if he hadn't joined in, he probably still wouldn't have achieved anything.
Of course, Vera wouldn't say these things to Zate.
“In my opinion, why not hold a business conference? Let’s not let Lu Feng hide anymore. Let’s call him over directly and put pressure on him commercially. Let’s hold a conference and let everyone see what’s going on!” Vera leaned back in her chair and said, “If he dares to come, I guarantee I’ll make him lose face in the Thai market.”
“That’s one way to do it. After all, we control the media now, so he can’t cause any trouble.” Zha Tai thought what he said made sense.
"This needs to be done quickly, how about tomorrow?"
"good!"
After the two finished their meal, they returned to their respective companies. As soon as they arrived, a vice president entered Zha Tai's office and said somewhat nervously, "Guangming Electronics is making a big push. This morning they started setting up billboards, mobile advertising vehicles, and store promotions."
"How much have sales increased?" Zha Tai asked, somewhat surprised.
"It's probably double what it was yesterday."
"How much were the sales yesterday? Even if it doubled, it wouldn't be much." Zha Tai said calmly, "Go and make arrangements to organize a business conference, invite people like Thongpala and Lu Feng, and notify some media outlets to broadcast it live. Understand?"
"Okay, I'll get right on it!"
Two or three days have passed, and Muzha still hasn't made a move. Zhatai felt that this person was a bit unreliable, so he picked up the phone and called Muzha, but no one answered.
"Hmph, what a white glove! With such meager skills, you dare to show your face in the business?" Zha Tai didn't bother with him. If he didn't do it, those 20 million baht would be his.
Moreover, in his eyes, Lu Feng was already at the end of his rampage, and as long as the current blockade was maintained, it was only a matter of time before Guangming Electronics was smothered.
A plane took off from Bangkok Airport, bound for New York, USA. Muzha changed into casual clothes, wearing sunglasses and a mask, and boarded the plane under the name Muhan.
"I'm afraid I'll never be able to come back in this lifetime." Mu Zha asked the flight attendant for a glass of red wine, looked at the bustling Bangkok outside the window, and slowly turned his gaze away. At least he was still alive, which was much better than the tall guy and the others.
The publicity campaign was in full swing, but the international community did not pay attention to Guangming Electronics' advertisements on the streets. Kevin hurriedly walked in with a folder and said to Lu Feng, "Sales are starting to pick up."
"Isn't this normal? We're playing the persona game, taking the tragic route. Plus, people at the bottom of society have a kind of expectation for the prosperity of the country. Our products and after-sales service are fine. It's not our turn to die, it's not our turn." Lu Feng leaned back in his chair and said, "After we've established a foothold, we need to strengthen our promotion and open more stores!"
"Will the marketing continue along this path?" Kevin felt that this brand image lacked selling points.
"Marketing is never a single approach. The essence of marketing is to connect with people's hearts and integrate the brand or product into consumers' lives. When you develop a special feeling for a brand, and it's a necessity, you'll choose it without hesitation next time." Lu Feng looked at Kevin and said, "The 'shining light of domestic products' is a form of marketing, the real selling point. Whether this light can shine is another question. Moreover, this kind of thing can't be used for long. You have to learn to integrate into the local area and take root there."
“I don’t quite understand,” Kevin said, puzzled.
"It's about doing charity in a high-profile way, donating money every year, hiding the knife behind your back while wearing a smile on your face. So what we need to do next is donate!" Lu Feng stared at him and said, "Understand?"
Kevin thought for a moment and said, "I think I understand."
"The highest level of marketing is subtle and pervasive, like your neighbor's uncle telling you one day that something is good. You'll definitely try it instead of resisting or questioning it. You might even help him when outsiders attack him. No brand is without mistakes, so what we need to do is become the consumer's uncle."
Kevin understood: Tumpara's honest and simple image, his persona, the close relationship of being a "second uncle," and the high quality of his products—this combination was enough to make consumers blindly trust him.
In the short term, such a marketing strategy may seem slow, but if it's implemented consistently over the long term, it can truly become a brand that won't fail.
"Then why not use it domestically?" Kevin felt that this strategy was better than the multi-brand, multi-faceted strategy of domestic companies.
Lu Feng remained silent, lighting a cigarette in quiet contemplation. After a long while, he finally said, "I don't want to lie to them."
