After all that commotion, they finally sat down. Jin Tingting sat next to Lu Feng and muttered to herself, "Who are these people?"
"Alright, don't take it to heart. Is your dad arriving in Huijing today?" Lu Feng inquired.
"He arrived yesterday, I heard he was in a meeting, so I don't know his whereabouts." Jin Tingting said with some worry, "I hope Uncle Huang's flight is later than mine, otherwise I'll get criticized again."
"What's wrong?"
"I thought I had nothing to do during my few days off, so I came to Shenzhen for fun. But my dad suddenly came to inspect the area. Everyone else went back to work. Uncle Huang is also here to inspect and offer his regards. If I go back late, I'm afraid my dad will scold me, and Uncle Huang will scold me too," Jin Tingting muttered.
“It’s alright. I’ll put in a good word for you if I run into him at the airport,” Lu Feng said confidently. “He still gives me face.”
"Give you face?" Jin Tingting glanced at him, her expression slightly comical. She had heard Uncle Huang scold Lu Feng more than once.
As the plane took off, everyone fell silent. It was only a two-hour flight from Shenzhen to Beijing!
Huijing, formerly known as Jinling, was the capital of Jiangnan. It has held extraordinary significance in both ancient and modern times and is often jokingly referred to as the capital of Anhui Province.
Huang Youwei did a good job in Suzhou, so naturally he was promoted and is now the Secretary of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee. From the head of a large steel plant to his current position, his career has been smooth sailing in recent years.
As the plane landed, a number of people were already waiting at the arrival gate, holding flowers in their hands. The local television station was also ready to make preliminary judgments on the inspection and to make full preparations for next year's planning.
The two planes landed on the two runways almost simultaneously. Just after landing, a phone call came in on one of the planes. After answering the call, the secretary said to Huang Youwei next to him, "Minister Jin heard that Lu Feng is also coming today. He wants to meet with him and hold an expanded meeting, just to include Lu Feng alone."
"Lu Feng is coming?" Huang Youwei perked up at the name and asked in surprise, "How did he know Lu Feng was coming?"
"I don't know," the secretary said helplessly.
How did Old Jin know that Lu Feng was coming? Of course, it was because Jin Tingting had tipped him off.
"Oh dear!" Huang Youwei was deeply troubled and muttered, "We're doing quite well now, and we don't need Lu Feng. Besides, there were already a lot of rumors when I was in Suzhou. Now that I'm in Huijing, if he follows me here, even a fool wouldn't believe it if I said it's okay. It will affect my career!"
The plane was already heading towards the terminal when an announcement came over the loudspeaker on Lu Feng's flight: "Dear passengers, the plane has not yet come to a complete stop. Due to the limited capacity of the terminal, please be patient."
"What's going on? That plane was clearly slower than us, so why did it pass by first?"
"Yeah, how long is the wait?"
My cousin looked outside, a little annoyed, and said to the old man in the front row, "It's only because we don't put on airs. If it were anyone else, they would have revealed their identity long ago and let us dock at the terminal first. A senior leader like you is just too low-key."
The old man glanced at his cousin, knowing perfectly well what kind of person his daughter-in-law's nephew was, and said, "What old leader? How many years have I been retired? I'm just an ordinary person. Don't have any superior ideas."
"Yes, yes, you're right," my cousin quickly admitted his mistake.
Ah Wei sat next to Fengxia's mother the whole way, making her laugh constantly. He had clearly won his mother-in-law's approval, and now he felt a little smug. He turned his head to look at Lu Feng across from him and said, "Isn't President Lu the CEO of the Transnational Group? You're so rich and powerful, why don't you make a call and have the plane dock at the terminal first?"
The moment the plane landed, this guy couldn't wait to start finding fault.
“I don’t know the CEO of the airline. Besides, it doesn’t matter if it’s a little slower. I’m not in a hurry to be reborn.” Lu Feng stared at him and said in a deep voice.
"You're the one who brags about being the boss all day long, and you don't even know people in high society." The cousin glanced at Lu Feng and said, "Anyway, you're the one who calls the shots. I might as well say I'm a king from another country."
Zhang Fengxia couldn't help but want to curse, but Lu Feng stopped her. What's the point of arguing for no reason? No matter what you do, the other person will think it's fake and meaningless.
After finally clearing out the terminal, the planes landed, and a group of people carried their belongings as they disembarked.
Inside the airport terminal, Huang Youwei stood in front of the camera and began answering questions from reporters.
"Through this inspection, I have gained a deeper understanding of the situation in this city. For next year's work, we will focus on three key areas: First, we will intensify road construction to ensure road access to every county and township. Second, we will increase investment attraction efforts to help excellent enterprises take root in Huijing, develop industries, and flourish throughout the city. Third, we will strengthen the crackdown on theft and robbery to maintain social order and better protect everyone's personal safety and property."
"If we achieve these three increases, we can reach a new level. Roads must be built. I have been paying close attention to the road construction progress in Shanxi recently. The Taiyuan-Jiuguan Expressway is really difficult. We need to do it with the full strength of the province. We must do it well. Local products must be able to go out, and external products must be able to come in. Only in this way can we form interaction with other provinces and the industry can prosper."
"We should increase investment attraction, attract high-quality enterprises to settle in, drive local industrial development, and create our own industries based on local characteristics. At the same time, when attracting investment, we should also focus on cultivating local characteristic industries, so that local enterprises can become stronger and go global."
