Lu Feng never expected that when he last came here just a few days ago, the security guards lined up and didn't recognize him. He was speechless.
The two sides were deadlocked and neither side would let them in. Lu Feng had no choice but to take out a wad of cash from his pocket and stuff several bills into each of their hands. Even if they were fired today because of this, it wouldn't be a loss.
The retractable gate opened, and Lu Feng led his men inside. The nearly two hundred people marched in a grand procession toward the office building.
Instead of going to the various offices and letting them pass the buck, I went straight to the factory manager's office. A huge crowd of people completely blocked the corridor. People in the various offices opened their doors and peeked out, and were dumbfounded to see so many workers.
Lu Feng knocked on the door of the factory director's office, but no one came out. A door not far away opened, and the director of the factory director's office came out. When he saw Lu Feng and a group of people crowding the corridor, his face darkened.
"What are you doing? So many people, what do you want?" The director pushed aside several migrant workers in front of him and angrily walked over, demanding, "Who let you in?"
Li Zhiqi and General Manager Sun also came out. When they saw that so many migrant workers had not only not left, but had also rushed to the floor where the factory manager's office was located, their expressions instantly turned ugly.
General Manager Sun looked at Li Zhiqi, whose expression was grim. He truly hadn't expected these migrant workers to dare to storm into the office building.
"I brought them in!" Lu Feng turned around and said in a deep voice, "It's working hours now, where's the factory manager?"
"It's you again. What do you want? To cause trouble?" The director walked over, and everyone quickly made way for him. He looked around and asked, "What are you doing?"
Hao Liu whispered from the side, "We want our wages!"
"Want your wages? Is this how you ask for your wages? Huh! Don't you have any respect for your superiors? If you don't pay me today, are you going to rob me?" The director shouted loudly, full of confidence, and looked at Lu Feng, saying, "Are you the one instigating this trouble?"
"I'm asking you, where's your salary?" Lu Feng stared at him and asked, "Where's the factory manager? Where's the person in charge?"
"You dare ask me? Who do you think you are? What right do you have to see the factory manager?" The director said to the crowd, "The wages will definitely be paid. If you act like this, I'm telling you plainly, don't even think about getting your money."
Upon hearing this, everyone panicked. This was exactly the situation they feared most. If someone blocked you, you would be powerless to do anything. Everyone else would receive money, but you would be excluded. What could you do?
"We just want a timeframe, when will it be given to us? We're all poor people, please have mercy, leader. This person has nothing to do with us." Someone nearby immediately softened.
Hao Liu quickly pulled Lu Feng aside and whispered, "Don't make a sound, or we really won't get the money back."
Everyone looked at Lu Feng with great anxiety. If he angered him again, they really didn't know what would happen. They didn't want to risk losing all their wages except for the two hundred people they were with.
A group of migrant workers stood leaning against the wall in the corridor, not saying a word. The office doors on this floor were all open, and the people inside were peeking out.
"What's wrong?"
"Let me tell you, these people are barely making ends meet, and yet they dare to cause trouble here."
"Is Factory Director Li not here today?"
“I just went out, otherwise this would have been a really big deal. A group of migrant workers dared to cause such a scene, they're probably finished.”
The whispers among the crowd reached the migrant workers' ears, and their faces turned ashen. If they had other options, who would dare to challenge their leader?
The director stared at Lu Feng, knowing that it was this man in the hat and mask who was instigating the trouble. He said in a deep voice, "Young man, think about the consequences of your actions. What does this have to do with you? Don't make trouble for yourself."
"You're starting to threaten me, aren't you?" Lu Feng stared at him and said, "I'm not afraid of threats. These people's wages must be paid today. I said it, even if the King of Hell comes, I'll still pay them!!"
"Are you looking for death?" Li Zhiqi was the first to rush out, pointing at Lu Feng and shouting, "Come on, let's not talk here, let's go outside and talk!!"
As they were talking, they were about to step forward and pull at Lu Feng's clothes. Hao Liu and the others were already having second thoughts; there was no point in continuing to argue with them.
Xiao Henan was the first to step forward, blocking Lu Feng's path and shouting, "What are you doing? Trying to hit someone? You pushed down our house this morning, and now you want to hit us? Don't you have any sense of reason?"
"What the hell does this have to do with you?" Li Zhiqi shouted. "Get out of here! I'm telling you guys, if you want your wages, get out of here now, understand? When the factory manager comes back and sees this, you'll be lucky to get your wages. I'll be walking down the aisle."
Some of the more timid ones had already moved towards the stairwell. They didn't care whether others got their wages back or not; they could accept the death of a fellow Daoist, but the death of a poor Daoist was absolutely unacceptable.
"So what if the factory manager comes back? I'll wait here. Don't even mention the factory manager, you'd better call Jiang Quan over. We need to get this straight today!" Lu Feng said in a deep voice.
"Stop talking, let's go!" Hao Liu stood aside, filled with regret.
After he finished speaking, seeing that Lu Feng had no intention of leaving, he whispered something to Lao Shuai, Xiao Henan, and a few others, saying "Let's go." Before they could leave, Lu Feng pulled them back.
"Nobody's leaving today! I'll fight you to the death!" Lu Feng said, looking at the three directors.
The director turned around and glanced at General Manager Sun and Li Zhiqi. His meaning was clear: the fact that they were causing such a commotion with these migrant workers was obviously not about money, and the matter itself had nothing to do with him. It felt like he had offended someone.
Mr. Sun and Li Zhiqi racked their brains trying to recall if they had ever offended such a person.
