Chapter 104 Preparing a backup plan and an escape route

With June more than halfway through, Feng Haidong became increasingly busy.

On the one hand, he needs to keep an eye on the renovation of his crayfish restaurant.

On the other hand, he also needed to keep an eye on things at his brother-in-law Lu Yaobin's company.

At the same time, he also had to appease his other brother-in-law, Lu Yaorong, from time to time.

In addition, he still has to set up a stall at the night market in the evenings, so it can be said that Feng Haidong's time is almost completely filled.

Fortunately, Lu Wanhong and Lu Feng, who had nothing to do during this period, would come to Feng Haidong's house every afternoon to help him clean crayfish, which relieved a lot of Feng Haidong's pressure.

Meanwhile, his wife had nothing much going on at work, and their son, Feng Qifan, became more self-disciplined in his studies.

So although Feng Haidong is still very busy, he feels very fulfilled every day and doesn't feel too tired.

Feng Haidong couldn't help but sigh in his heart: It's really good to be young and vigorous.

However, just a few days later, Feng Haidong received a phone call from Mei Yaqin at home.

He invited his brother-in-law, Lu Yaorong, to go with him. To Feng Haidong's surprise, Mei Yaqin was not willing to participate in the stock trading.

Mei Yaqin said that after discussing it with her husband at home, he did not agree to her participating in stock trading together.

This was actually within Feng Haidong's expectations. He knew Liu Jianwu's character very well. Compared to Mei Yaqin, who was somewhat eager for quick success, Liu Jianwu was more cautious.

Therefore, Liu Jianwu is unlikely to easily agree to let Mei Yaqin follow Lu Yaorong in stock trading.

Lu Yaorong heard from Mei Yaqin that after she went home and discussed it with her husband, she was surprised to find that he did not agree.

He was immediately disappointed and looked at Feng Haidong with a puzzled expression.

That expression seemed to say: Brother-in-law, didn't you say that Mei Yaqin would definitely contribute money to participate?

Feng Haidong gave Lu Yaorong a look, signaling him not to rush.

Feng Haidong knew very well that if Mei Yaqin really wasn't involved in stock trading, she wouldn't have specifically asked him and Lu Yaorong to come out and discuss this matter.

She could have simply told Feng Haidong over the phone that her husband disagreed with her investing in stocks.

The fact that Mei Yaqin arranged to meet with Feng Haidong and Lu Yaorong shows that although Liu Jianwu did not agree, Mei Yaqin herself was still tempted.

Sure enough, Mei Yaqin then took out the money and said, "Yaorong, this money is a loan from your eldest sister. I took this money out of your brother-in-law's name, so you can't tell anyone. Also, this money is a loan from your eldest sister, and I won't participate in your stock trading."

Mei Yaqin then pretended to be earnest and said, "And Yaorong, I also want to advise you not to invest too much in this. Stocks are too risky, so you must be careful."

When Lu Yaorong saw Mei Yaqin take out money, he was also a little surprised and confused about what it meant.

Feng Haidong was well aware that Mei Yaqin was ultimately tempted and wanted to get involved, hoping to make money from the stock market.

So she took out her own savings and said it was to lend to Lu Yaorong.

In reality, she was involved in all of this money.

Feng Haidong pressed down on the money and said, "Yaorong, why don't you write an IOU for Sister Mei? We'll both sign it. If we really lose money, we'll pool our money together and pay Sister Mei back."

When Mei Yaqin heard Feng Haidong say that, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She was actually worried that Feng Haidong and his friends would borrow money to speculate in stocks and lose money.

Feng Haidong added, "Of course, if you make money with this money, Yaorong, you can't just pay it back to Sister Mei."

After a moment of surprise, Lu Yaorong immediately understood his brother-in-law's meaning and quickly said, "Sister Mei, don't worry, my brother-in-law is here to testify for me. If I make money, I will definitely give Sister Mei 20% as interest."

Mei Yaqin's eyes already showed a joyful smile, but she still said, "Actually, it's not necessary. What kind of relationship do I have with your older sister? I'm just lending you money, how could I ask you for interest?"

When Feng Haidong heard Mei Yaqin say this, he smiled and said, "Big sister, this shows your trust in your brother. Your brother-in-law and brother can't let you suffer losses. If we make money, we should give you interest. If we lose money, we can't let you lose money."

When Lu Yaorong heard his brother-in-law say that, he naturally quickly echoed and expressed his opinion.

Finally, Lu Yaorong also wrote an IOU, which he and Feng Haidong signed and handed to Mei Yaqin.

After receiving the IOU, Mei Yaqin felt reassured.

She gave them one last piece of advice: "Haidong, Yaorong, this is something only the three of us know. You can't tell anyone else. If your brother-in-law finds out, he'll definitely turn against your older sister."

Feng Haidong said with a smile, "Don't worry, big sister. We're actually afraid of being found out. If Wanling finds out, she'll probably kick me out tonight."

Mei Yaqin burst out laughing upon hearing this: "Haha, Haidong, that's the only good thing about you, you always give way to Wanling."

Feng Haidong said, "Actually, my brother-in-law is also very good. He treats you and Tingting very well."

At this point, Feng Haidong added, "By the way, eldest sister, among the articles Tingting gave me, I selected one that was quite good. I made some minor revisions and sent it to the newspaper. I believe it should be published in the newspaper in a few days."

Upon hearing this, Mei Yaqin was immediately thrilled: "Really? Haidong, are you serious? Tingting's article can be published?"
