What is the most beautiful thing in life?
For Feng Haidong, nothing is more wonderful than this.
After staying up all night, I woke up in the morning to find that my wife had already prepared breakfast and was waiting for me to wake up with the children.
When Feng Haidong got up and saw the breakfast on the table, he smiled and said, "It smells delicious."
Lu Yue immediately said, "Uncle, hurry up and brush your teeth and wash your face. We're all waiting for you to eat together."
Feng Haidong agreed, saying, "Okay, Uncle will go right away."
Before heading to the bathroom, Feng Haidong turned to his son and asked, "Fanfan, I read your essay. It's much better now that I've revised it. But I've made a few more minor changes for you. Go take a look and then copy it out."
Feng Qifan immediately said, "Dad, I've already copied it."
Feng Haidong poked his head out of the bathroom.
He saw his wife, son, and niece all looking at him.
Lu Wanling said with a smile, "Alright, hurry up and brush your teeth and wash your face, then come and eat. We've been waiting for you for ages."
Feng Haidong quickly replied, "Okay, I'll be right there."
After Feng Haidong finished washing up, he sat down at the dining table with his wife, son, and niece.
Looking at the breakfast on the table, which must have been made by his wife that morning, he couldn't help but exclaim, "My wife is so virtuous; this breakfast is simply too lavish."
Lu Wanling said, "Alright, hurry up and eat yours."
Lu Yue held up the small spoon in her hand and said, "Yes, yes, hurry up and eat."
Feng Haidong's family breakfast consists of small wontons, boiled eggs, thin steamed pancakes, and some vegetables to roll up in the pancakes.
Seeing these breakfasts, Feng Haidong knew that his wife must have made them that morning.
So while eating, Feng Haidong felt a deep sense of warmth and comfort.
After breakfast, the family got ready and went out together.
Feng Haidong and Lu Wanling first sent their son and niece to Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia's house, because Feng Haidong had to go to the factory to check in in the morning.
He hadn't been there for a while, so he wanted to show his face at the factory.
After visiting the factory, Feng Haidong also needed to pick up today's crayfish shipment.
Lu Wanling still had to go to work.
So the son and niece were first arranged to stay at Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia's house, and then around noon, Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia took the three children directly to a crayfish restaurant.
When Feng Qifan said goodbye to his father, he asked, "Dad, are we going to the newspaper office this afternoon?"
Feng Haidong nodded and said, "Isn't the composition in your schoolbag? Keep it safe. This afternoon, Dad will take you and your sister to the newspaper office."
Feng Qifan smiled happily and said, "Okay, Dad, I will definitely keep the essay and your manuscript safe."
Lu Yue asked curiously, "Uncle, where are you taking my brother and me this afternoon?"
Feng Qifan held his sister's hand and explained, "My dad took us to the newspaper office this afternoon, the place where newspapers are published."
Lu Yue thought for a moment and asked, "Is it a place that sells newspapers?"
Feng Qifan thought for a moment and said, "That's true, but that place prints the newspapers and then sells them to newsstands."
Lu Yue didn't fully understand, but she was still willing to go and see: "Okay, let's go together this afternoon."
Feng Haidong said to his son, "Take good care of your little sister at Uncle Yang's house this morning. Don't forget to do your homework and don't cause any trouble for Uncle Yang and Aunt Dong."
Feng Qifan said earnestly, "Dad, I know."
Then Feng Haidong and his wife watched their son lead his sister upstairs. They heard Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia welcoming the two children into the house upstairs before they left the compound together.
Because he had to go to the factory in the morning, Feng Haidong did not ride his bicycle to take his wife to work. Instead, he took her to the station, said goodbye to her, and then rode his bicycle to the factory himself.
After a busy morning, Feng Haidong finally met up with Yang Chengjian, Dong Xia, and the children at a crayfish restaurant.
At noon, Sun Yongxing and Zhang Hongxia, along with their son Sun Hongyu, came over to cook lunch.
Feng Haidong saw Sun Hongyu in the kitchen, already helping his father.
Seeing Sun Hongyu's progress, Feng Haidong was happy for Sun Yongxing and Zhang Hongxia.
At noon, while Sun Yongxing and his family of three were about to deliver lunch, Feng Haidong decided to bring all three children along, and also let Lu Yue go to his wife's workplace to meet her father.
Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia originally didn't want their daughter to go, fearing that she would cause trouble for Feng Haidong.
However, Feng Haidong remained nonchalant, saying, "It's alright. The three children are having so much fun. Let's go take a look. I promise I won't let them get hurt."
Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia had no choice but to agree in the end.
Feng Haidong and Sun Yongxing's family, along with their three children, went to deliver meals to the wife's workplace.
As expected, Lu Yaobin, the brother-in-law, worked at his wife's workplace.
Zhou Xiaoxiao was also at her wife's workplace today.
However, Zhou Xiaoxiao was not with Lu Yaobin. When Feng Haidong and the others arrived, Zhou Xiaoxiao was in Lu Wanling and Mei Yaqin's office reconciling accounts.
Lu Yue was very happy to see her father. The little girl ran straight to her father and hugged him tightly.
When Lu Yaobin saw his daughter being brought by his brother-in-law, he was also happy and picked her up.
"Oh dear, my little darling, what brings you here? Yueyue, did you miss your dad?"
Lu Yue nodded with a smile in her father's arms and said, "Yes, Dad, you never go to Auntie's house to see Yueyue."
Lu Yaobin earnestly explained to his daughter, "Dad is busy with work. Look, Dad is helping those uncles pack those things. We have to cut and weld. It's really hard work."
Hearing her father say he had worked hard, Lu Yue used her little hands to massage his shoulders.
