Hearing her mother's words, Lu Yue huddled in her mother's arms and remained silent.
Then she heard her aunt urging, "Hurry up and apologize, you have no manners at all!"
Seeing her sister-in-law talking about her daughter like that, Gong Ting couldn't help but say, "Sister-in-law, Yueyue is still young. Can you please stop talking about her like that?"
Hearing what Gong Ting said, her sister-in-law still reluctantly stepped aside: "Fine, they're just kids. I shouldn't stoop to their level."
However, as the sister-in-law stepped back, she didn't forget to add fuel to the fire for her mother-in-law: "Mom, don't be angry. The child is still young. We can't be too harsh on him, or our Gong Ting will be unhappy too."

Lu Yue's young mind never imagined that her mother, whom she had finally managed to rely on, would not help her.
She finally broke down in tears: "Waaah, I want to go home, I miss my aunt, I want my aunt..."
When Gong Ting heard her daughter crying like that, she was completely stunned.
Not long after, the elder sister-in-law's sarcastic voice could be heard outside.
"See, I knew it! This child has been corrupted by her parents! She never dared to ask for this or that before. She really does become like the people she's raised."
Gong Ting's mother complained, "This child is really not close to us at all anymore."
Gong Ting's father said, "Xiao Ting, why don't you just send the child back to them? She's crying and begging for her aunt. What are you keeping her here for?"
Hearing her parents say this, Gong Ting looked at the daughter who had broken free from her parents' embrace and was crying, wanting to find her aunt.
Finally, Gong Ting seemed to have made up her mind and took her daughter away from her parents' house.
