As soon as Feng Haidong entered the courtyard, Liang Cong saw a little girl run over and jump into his arms.
Feng Haidong not only didn't mind the little girl smearing toothpaste foam from her mouth and hands onto his clothes, but he also doted on her by picking her up and lifting her high in the air.
Liang Cong couldn't help but ask, "Brother-in-law, is this Brother Feng's daughter? She looks very cute."
Upon hearing this question, Fang Jianxing immediately laughed and said, "Hahaha, this is not Hai Dong's daughter. Hai Dong has a son, so he is the only son in our family. This is Hai Dong's brother-in-law's daughter, your brother Hai Dong's niece."
Liang Cong was even more surprised: "Is she Brother Feng's niece? But why are they so close to Brother Feng?"
Fang Jianxing said, "Because this little girl's parents are divorced, she basically lives at your Haidong brother's house now."
Upon hearing this, Liang Cong immediately understood: "Oh, I see. Then Brother Feng must be very good to her."
Fang Jianxing said, "Of course, this little girl is the treasure of Haidong's family. Not only are Haidong and his wife good to the child, but Haidong's son is also very good to her."
As he spoke, Feng Qifan saw his father return and quickly put down his things and ran to his father.
Fang Jianxing pointed at Feng Qifan and said, "This kid is the real young master of your Haidong family. This kid is very capable. His essays have even been published in our local newspaper."
Liang Cong exclaimed in surprise, "What? How old is he? His essays are already published in the newspaper?"
Fang Jianxing laughed and said, "Haha, that's why I told you this kid is really good."
Fang Jianxing then added, "Of course, your brother Haidong is even more impressive. He frequently publishes articles in the newspaper, and his son is probably just like his father."
Liang Cong asked in surprise, "Brother Haidong often publishes articles in newspapers? Why didn't you mention that on the way here?"
Fang Jianxing said, "You didn't ask either. Besides, we mainly contacted you about aquaculture. We thought you wouldn't care about writing articles."
Liang Cong said, "How could that be? What articles has Brother Haidong published in your newspaper? Can I take a look?"
Fang Jianxing said, "I heard that a few of his articles have recently been published on that 'Reader' magazine."
Liang Cong was even more surprised: "What? Hai Dong's articles have been published in Readers?"
Liang Cong thought about it seriously for a moment, and then suddenly remembered: "Oh, I know, so the Feng Haidong in Reader's Digest is Brother Haidong? I thought it was just a coincidence of names."
At this moment, Liang Cong truly admired Feng Haidong.
Liang Cong loved reading all kinds of articles since he was a child, and now that he has met someone whose articles have been published in Reader's Digest, he truly admires him from the bottom of his heart.
Feng Haidong, holding his little niece, led his son and turned to face his brother-in-law and Liang Cong.
He smiled and introduced them to Liang Cong, saying, "This is my niece, Lu Yue, and this is my son, Feng Qifan. Please greet Uncle Liang."
Lu Yue immediately greeted, "Hello, Uncle Liang."
Feng Qifan then greeted, "Hello, Uncle Liang."
Liang Cong looked at Feng Haidong and suddenly asked, "Brother Haidong, are you the Feng Haidong from Reader's Digest?"
Upon hearing this, Feng Haidong first glanced at his brother-in-law beside him.
Then he smiled and said, "I think so. You read Readers' Digest too, right?"
Liang Cong immediately exclaimed excitedly, "Look, Hai Dong, you're really amazing! Your article even made it to the Readers' Channel. I really admire you!"
Before Feng Haidong could speak, Liang Cong continued, "I knew it. The first time I saw you, Haidong, I felt you weren't like a boss. You had a cultured air about you. I never expected you to be such a cultured person. You're actually a writer. You're amazing."
Feng Haidong laughed and said, "Haha, I'm not really a writer. I'm just a literature enthusiast. I'm still a long way from being a writer."
Liang Cong said, "No way, Hai Dong, your articles have all been published in Reader's Digest, you're already a writer."
Feng Haidong said with a smile: "But writers still need to have masterpieces to show for themselves. I'm definitely not ready yet. I haven't written a single medium or long novel. I only write some random thoughts, essays, and prose."
Liang Cong said, "But you write very well. I read both of your articles in Reader's Digest. The one about the teacher was very insightful, and the one about the dialogue with your son was also very moving. I have always wanted to have a dialogue with my father through writing."
Upon hearing this, Feng Qifan immediately said, "I wrote that first, and then Dad wrote it based on what I wrote."
Liang Cong looked down at Feng Qifan and said with a smile, "You're very capable too."
Feng Qifan smiled and said, "Thank you, Uncle Liang."
Liang Cong said, "Your descriptions of your father's business in your article really made me feel the genuine emotions. And your father's dialogue with you through the article was equally heartfelt. It was the first time I realized that fathers and sons could have such a conversation."
Feng Qifa said, "That's how my dad usually talks to me. He reads his articles to me, lets me listen, and gives me his opinions."
After listening, Liang Cong looked at Feng Haidong and said, "Brother Haidong, you are truly a good father."
Feng Haidong smiled and said, "I just hope that the children can grow up happily and at the same time learn what they should learn well."
At this point, Feng Haidong quickly introduced to his son and niece: "Fanfan, Yueyue, this Uncle Liang is amazing. He is a technician in fish and shrimp farming, a real scientist. You should ask Uncle Liang for advice and learn from him in the future."
Upon hearing this, Feng Qifan and Lu Yue looked at Liang Cong with some surprise.
