Chapter 236 On the Bus Home

During his two days in town, Feng Haidong completely forgot about everything, and didn't even bother to ask his brother-in-law, Feng Baoan, or Liang Cong about their fish farming business.

For two days, Feng Haidong and his son devoted themselves to accompanying his wife.

Meanwhile, Feng Haidong also had his son play with his younger sister over the past two days.

Although two days is not a long time, both Lu Wanling and Lu Yue were extremely happy.

Lu Wanling felt very happy.

Because her husband was able to take two days off from his business to come back and be with her during such an important time for his business, Lu Wanling felt that this was something that many people probably couldn't do.

This made Lu Wanling feel even more that her decision to keep the baby in her womb was the right one.

Because of her wonderful husband Feng Haidong, Lu Wanling believes that she and her children will be very happy in the future.

However, two days is still too short.

On the afternoon of the second day, Feng Haidong still took his son to take the last bus back to the city.

Lu Wanling and her elder sister Feng Yunhua, together with her niece Lu Yue, went to the station to see off her husband and son.

Lu Yue was somewhat saddened by her uncle and brother's departure, but the little girl did not cry or make a fuss because she was very sensible and knew that her brother had to go back to school and her uncle had to go back to work.

As Feng Haidong and his brother were about to leave, Lu Yue hugged her uncle's neck and asked, "Uncle, when will you and my brother come back to see Aunt and me again?"

Feng Haidong smiled and said, "Don't rush. When National Day comes, your aunt and grandparents can take you back to the city. Then you can see your father, your grandparents, and you can also visit your mother."

Lu Yue was delighted and said, "Great! I'll go back with my aunt during the National Day holiday. Will you come pick us up, Uncle?"

Feng Haidong said, "Come on, your uncle and brother will come to pick you up then."

Lu Yue said, "Hehehe, then Uncle, let's make a pinky promise, you have to come and pick up me and Aunt."

When Feng Haidong saw his little niece extend her pinky finger to him, he also extended his little finger and made a pinky promise with her.

Lu Yue hooked her little finger with her uncle's little finger and sang with a grin: "Pinky promise, never to change, whoever lies is a little dog."

Feng Haidong smiled and said, "Okay, let's pinky swear. Uncle will definitely come to pick up Yueyue and Auntie."

Lu Wanling watched from the side and gave her son some instructions.

"Son, when you get home, you need to study hard and listen attentively. Be humble at school and don't get arrogant just because you've achieved a little bit of success. Also, listen to your father. After school, go to my restaurant. Don't run around with your classmates, okay?"

Feng Qifan earnestly promised his mother, "Okay, I know. Don't worry, Mom, I will definitely be a good boy/girl."

Feng Haidong put his niece down, and then got on the bus with his son.

The father and son waved goodbye to his wife and niece together in the car.

Lu Yue waved her little hand and called out, "Uncle, brother, remember to come and pick me and Aunt."

Feng Haidong smiled and said, "Okay, I'll definitely come to pick you up."

Feng Qifan also called out, "Yueyue, don't worry, we will definitely come to pick you and your mother up. Goodbye, Mom."

Lu Wanling smiled and waved: "Take care on the road, goodbye."

And so, Feng Haidong left the town once again with his son.

Lu Wanling watched the bus leave the station, took her little niece's hand, and said to her older sister Feng Yunhua, "Big sister, let's go back."

Feng Yunhua smiled and agreed, "Okay, Yueyue, let's go back."

Lu Yue smiled and said, "Okay, Auntie, Auntie, let's go home."

Feng Haidong and his son sat on the bus, watching the sun gradually set in the west. As time passed, a crimson sunset appeared on the horizon.

At this moment, gazing at the sunset on the horizon, Feng Haidong was filled with countless thoughts.

He was thinking of his wife and niece, and of his unborn daughter.

Feng Haidong then thought of his restaurant and the aquaculture project that was about to begin.

Many of the things I wanted to do are gradually becoming a reality.

Everything is going quite smoothly now, and it's just a matter of time before things improve.

Feng Haidong understood that the restaurant business needed time to mature, and the breeding business also required time to experiment and gradually build up success step by step.

Feng Haidong understood very well that everything needed time to settle and mature.

Nothing can be accomplished overnight.

However, he still needs to work harder because he needs to support his family and create a better environment for his wife and children.

Feng Haidong also wants to help other family members as much as possible, including his and his wife's brothers and sisters.

Although, for now, there are many things that Feng Haidong may not need to help them with.

But he knew very well that everyone was already feeling the hardship in the second half of the year, and that next year would only be more difficult.

Feng Haidong knew that he still needed to seize the opportunity and make as much money as possible.

Feng Qifan noticed that his father kept looking out the car window and didn't say anything.

He asked, somewhat puzzled, "Dad, why aren't you saying anything? Are you missing Mom and my sister again?"

Upon hearing his son's words, Feng Haidong snapped out of his daze and looked at his son.

He countered, "You miss your mom and sister too?"

Feng Qifan nodded: "Yes, Dad, when do you think Mom and my sister can come home with us?"

Feng Haidong said, "Didn't we agree to come back together to pick up Mom and my sister during the National Day holiday?"

Feng Qifan said, "I mean, let Mom and my sister come home with us."
