The news of Duan Jian's booming business reached Feng Haidong's ears the very next day.
The others in the restaurant were somewhat worried.
But Feng Haidong didn't take it to heart at all, and he continued to maintain his daily rhythm.
In the morning, Feng Haidong would send his son to school, and then he would go to the factory almost every morning. Sometimes, he would even have his son eat lunch at Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia's house, and he would also eat a meal at the factory canteen.
There was still no work at the factory, but Feng Haidong wasn't worried at all. He spent his days chatting with his coworkers.
I would occasionally visit the factory manager to chat about the factory's situation.
Sometimes, I would also offer suggestions to the factory manager.
Of course, Feng Haidong knew very well that his suggestions could not influence the factory's decisions.
After all, Feng Haidong's business is doing quite well now.
But in the factory, he was just an ordinary worker.
To put it bluntly, he wasn't even a workshop director. There were leaders at every level in the factory, and it wasn't his place to listen to a lowly worker like Feng Haidong.
Feng Haidong takes it all in stride; he just chats with everyone at the factory in the mornings anyway.
Of course, during the conversation, Feng Haidong also learned a lot about the situation of each family from everyone.
I also heard stories from my fellow workers about their families.
He learned more about the various aspects of human life that he had never paid attention to in his previous life while working in the factory.
Then, sometimes after the restaurant closed at night, Feng Haidong would go home and write articles by lamplight.
Feng Haidong wasn't trying to react to or expose anything.
He wrote down things he heard from his fellow workers in the factory, hoping that he could speak up for them at this time.
Even if the voice is very small and humble.
Feng Haidong felt that even if there was a chance to attract even the slightest attention, it would be something he had done.
So during this period, Feng Haidong sent quite a few articles to the newspaper.
The newspaper was willing to publish Feng Haidong's work.
Therefore, during this period, Feng Haidong managed to balance his work, business, and writing without any disruption.
After Feng Haidong had been enjoying his leisurely life for a few days, the others in the restaurant were already getting restless.
That afternoon, Feng Haidong took some time to submit an article to the newspaper office before leisurely arriving at the restaurant.
However, when Feng Haidong arrived at the restaurant, he found that the door was already open.
When he entered, he saw that Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia had arrived quite early and seemed to have been waiting for him.
Feng Haidong looked at the couple and said with a smile, "Xiao Yang, Xiao Dong, you're here so early today?"
When Yang Chengjian saw Feng Haidong arrive, he quickly stood up and said, "Brother Feng, why aren't you worried at all? Haven't you heard? Duan Jian's restaurant has been doing very well these days. Even some of our customers have been going there to eat grilled fish."
Dong Xia was also a little anxious: "Brother Feng, they've stolen our business."
Feng Haidong could see that the two of them were indeed getting anxious.
He smiled and asked the two of them to sit down first.
Then Feng Haidong asked, "Don't worry, let me ask you, has our restaurant's business been affected recently?"
This question surprised Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia.
After thinking about it carefully, the two realized that the restaurant's business had indeed not been affected.
Duan Jian's place is always fully booked every night.
But in reality, Feng Haidong's place is always full every night, and there are even people queuing up.
Therefore, in terms of overall business comparison, Feng Haidong's business is still better than Duan Jian's.
Even so, Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia still had some concerns.
“Brother Feng, but if we let Duan Jian and his group get started, they might become a threat to us in the future.”
"Yes, the thought that Duan Jian actually learned from us and made a business out of it makes me feel a bit resentful."
Feng Haidong continued with a smile, "You guys really shouldn't always focus on the fact that Duan Jian learned his skills from me."
After a brief pause, Feng Haidong continued, "Actually, our city is very big, with so many people. How many people can one restaurant serve? You can't expect people to line up at our place every night, can you?"
So from the customer's perspective, having a restaurant that can replace ours is actually a good thing for them.
Feng Haidong's words surprised both Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia.
The reason why the two were in such a hurry to find Feng Haidong.
It was because everyone else in the restaurant felt that Duan Jian's shop was clearly stealing their business, and no one wanted their business to be taken away by Duan Jian.
Feng Haidong always acted as if he didn't care, which made everyone very anxious and worried.
Now that Feng Haidong has said this, Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia suddenly understand.
It turns out that Feng Haidong didn't care at all about other people opening shops and competing with him for business.
Yang Chengjian thought for a moment and asked, "Brother Feng, what if everyone starts going to their house in the future?"
Feng Haidong laughed and said, "Xiao Yang, do you understand? Do you really think that their small shop can cater to all the customers in the city? We can't do it, and they certainly can't. Our city is so big, with a large population. Do you think it can't accommodate two of our shops?"
These words left Yang Chengjian and Dong Xia speechless.
It seems that this is indeed the case.
The city is so big, how could it not accommodate two stores?
And just as Feng Haidong said, their restaurant has too many customers every day, and they simply can't accommodate that many guests.
