As February 1997 approached, the streets were decorated with lanterns and colorful decorations, giving off a festive atmosphere.
The occasional sound of firecrackers serves as an alarm clock announcing the approaching Spring Festival, reminding people that the holiday is just around the corner.

Seeing the crowds in the market, Feng Haidong had no choice but to let the children get off their bicycles.
He also got off his bicycle, pushed it, and led the children inside.
Before entering the market, Feng Haidong reminded his son, "Fanfan, you have to hold your sister tightly. There are too many people here, so you absolutely can't let go, understand?"
Feng Qifan said, "Dad, I know, I will definitely hold my sister tight."
Lu Yue said, "Uncle, I will also hold my brother's hand tightly, and we promise not to run around."
Feng Haidong replied with a smile: "Yueyue, be good. When you go inside, tell your uncle what you like."
Lu Yue said, "Uncle, let's not buy anything else, let's just buy pretty fireworks."

Feng Haidong said with a smile, "Alright, see what you like, you can buy it today."
Upon hearing this, Lu Yue immediately said, "I need to buy magic bullets, welding rods, and also, I need to buy firecrackers, and pretty ones that can spray fireworks."
Feng Qifan added, "Dad, I want to buy firecrackers, and I also want to buy those small firecrackers."
After listening to the children's words, Feng Haidong said to the shop owner, "Boss, come out for a moment, I need to get some fireworks for my kids."
The owner quickly came out, smiling, and pointed to the shelves in the store, saying, "Come on, these are all kinds of fireworks. There are these that shoot into the sky, these that spray fireworks on the ground, these ground rats that can spin on the ground, and these welding rods that can set off pretty fireworks when lit."
After listening to the shop owner's introduction, Feng Haidong said to the two children, "Okay, you two see what you want to buy."
Lu Yue looked left and right, somewhat hesitant.
The little girl clearly wanted to buy some of everything.
Seeing the little girl's hesitant expression, the shopkeeper assumed she hadn't taken a liking to the larger ones, so he quickly picked up some firecrackers from the shelf and said, "If you're a little girl, I have some firecrackers here. They're really good; they go off as soon as you drop them, and they're very safe. Would you like to try them out?"
Lu Yue asked, "Can I give it a try?"
The boss smiled and nodded: "Of course."
As he spoke, the shopkeeper took out a box and handed it to Lu Yue.
Lu Yue turned her head and glanced at her uncle.
Feng Haidong said with a smile, "It's okay, your uncle will give it to you. Just try it. If you like it, your uncle will buy you two packs."
Upon hearing her uncle's words, Lu Yue immediately smiled and accepted the firecrackers the shopkeeper handed her.
*Smack*
Lu Yue took the firecracker out of the box and threw it on the ground, making a "pop" sound.
This amused Lu Yue, so she made another one and threw it on the ground.
*Smack*
Seeing that his little niece liked it, Feng Haidong said to the shopkeeper, "Give me two packs of firecrackers, and a row of sparklers too."
Feng Qifan was naturally very happy to hear that his father had bought him a row of firecrackers.
The shop owner then took out various types of firecrackers in different packaging and gave Feng Qifan a brief introduction.
Listening to the shop owner's introduction, Feng Haidong smiled and said, "Boss, why don't you just give him a box for each item? Don't tell me the prices are different, they're all the same price anyway. If you give him a whole set, I'll need to buy other things from you."
The boss hesitated at first, but seeing Feng Haidong's insistence, he had no choice but to agree.
Each type of firecracker was assigned to Feng Qifan in a box.
Then Feng Haidong bought almost all kinds of fireworks from the shop owner.
This made the boss extremely happy, he was overjoyed.
After settling the bill, Feng Haidong didn't haggle and paid directly.
Seeing how straightforward Feng Haidong was, the boss gave him two extra large couplets and New Year's decorations to hang at home.
