In the afternoon, a small truck carrying a water tank stopped in front of Feng Haidong's shop in the provincial capital.
Feng Haidong was sitting in the shop when he saw the small truck parked at the door, so he quickly got up and went out to greet it.
As Liang Cong got out of the passenger seat of the small truck, he smiled and said, "Brother Haidong, I'm pretty punctual, right?"
When Feng Haidong saw Liang Cong, he said, "You're so punctual! I thought you'd be a little late."
Liang Cong said, "Brother Haidong, I told you before, it's much more convenient for us to get to your provincial capital than to your hometown. We can take the highway the whole way without stopping."
Feng Haidong said, "You came via the highway? Won't that mean you'll have to pay extra tolls?"
Liang Cong said, "It's okay, the main thing is that it can save a lot of time."
Feng Haidong said, "Then give me the toll receipt later, and I'll give you the money."
Liang Cong said, "No need, really no need. Brother Haidong doesn't actually have much money."
Feng Haidong said seriously, "No, you've already worked so hard delivering goods to me during the Spring Festival. I can't let you pay for your own travel expenses."
Liang Cong turned to the driver in the car and said, "Cousin, we'll unload some here, and the rest we'll take to my brother Haidong's house later."
The driver agreed, saying, "Okay, no problem. This trip is for delivering goods."
Liang Cong smiled and said, "Okay, thank you for your trouble, cousin."
Feng Haidong looked at the driver and said, "Thank you for your hard work. Come down and have a drink of water. Don't leave tonight, eat at my shop. It's my first day of business after the New Year, so consider it a way to boost my business."
Liang Cong looked at the driver and asked, "Cousin? What do you think?"
The driver smiled and replied, "It's up to you."
Liang Cong said, "Okay, we'll eat at Hai Dong's place tonight, and then we'll go back. Cousin, please don't drink tonight."
Feng Haidong smiled and said, "Drinking is fine too. You can stay here for the night and go back to my house early tomorrow morning."
Liang Cong said, "Let's not. If we drink too much and wake up late tomorrow morning, it might affect the business of your family's restaurant, Hai Dong."
Feng Haidong said, "No, the restaurant at home will definitely be open in the evening tomorrow. It only takes a little over an hour to drive there from the provincial capital. You can deliver it in the afternoon."
Before Liang Cong could speak, Feng Haidong added, "Perfect timing. If you're going tomorrow, I can go back with you in your car."
Liang Cong could only look at the driver again: "Cousin, you decide."
The driver laughed and said, "Don't ask me. You're the boss now, and you're paying for this trip."
Feng Haidong immediately made a decision: "Okay, then listen to me. I'll pay for this trip. Neither of you are leaving tonight. Have a meal and some drinks at my new store in the provincial capital, get a good rest, and deliver the goods to my family's restaurant tomorrow morning."
The driver nodded in agreement, then said to Liang Cong, "Xiao Cong, you really don't act like a boss. You were bragging to me on the way here that you're all the same to everyone."
When his cousin said that to him, Liang Cong blushed with embarrassment.
Feng Haidong laughed and said, "Haha, Xiao Liang wasn't bragging. Although he doesn't offer opinions on business in my shop, he definitely has the final say on aquaculture in my hometown."
Upon hearing Feng Haidong's words, Liang Cong immediately became smug again and cast a provocative glance at his driver cousin.
Looking at Liang Cong, Feng Haidong smiled and said, "Alright, let's unload the fish first, and then you can park the car in the courtyard of a hotel up ahead. I'll go and talk to them and ask them to book a room for you tonight. You can stay at that hotel."
Liang Cong and his cousin naturally agreed to Feng Haidong's arrangement.
Feng Haidong went back to the shop and called people out to unload the fish that the shop would be using that night.
The live fish were unloaded from the truck on the street and then carried into the store, naturally attracting a lot of onlookers.
The onlookers quickly began to whisper and discuss among themselves.
"See? All the fish in this shop are fresh, and they're still alive."
"Yes, it looks like it was just delivered. What kind of store is this?"
"It looks like a grilled fish restaurant. They actually use live fish!"
"That's really authentic! I wonder if this restaurant is open today? I'd like to try it tonight."
"Haven't you eaten here before? I came with my friends before the Lunar New Year, and the food was excellent."
Are all grilled fish spicy?
"They have non-spicy options, and I think the non-spicy grilled fish at this restaurant is also very delicious."
"If their restaurant is open tonight, let's come and have grilled fish."
"Look, they've put up a sign that says they'll be open at 7 p.m. tonight, and since it's the first day they're open after the Lunar New Year, they're offering discounts. Let's eat here tonight."
...
Feng Haidong never expected that unloading live fish from his truck and carrying them into his shop on the street would become an advertisement for his store.
It immediately attracted a lot of attention, and the news quickly spread throughout the pedestrian street area.
It wasn't even 7 p.m. yet, and there were already people waiting in front of the door.
When Feng Haidong saw that there were quite a few people, he simply opened the door early and let the guests waiting at the door come in.
At the same time, Feng Haidong also arranged for his family members to sit down and eat first.
"Everyone, please sit down and eat first. I think there will be quite a few people coming tonight. Let's have the first round of eating first, and then make room for the next customers."
Seeing that there were quite a few people entering the store, Liu Fenggu smiled and said, "Okay, I'll follow your arrangements, Haidong."
Feng Haidong led Song Rui into the kitchen and they began to get busy there.
