Feng Haidong's crayfish business enjoyed a grand opening, selling out more than half of its stock in the blink of an eye.
Finally having some free time, Feng Haidong noticed that Su Xin was no longer there.
After thinking for a moment, I remembered that Su Xin had told me she was going back first.
Feng Haidong couldn't help but chuckle to himself, "I've really been quite busy; I've even forgotten about Su Xin."
Thinking of this, Feng Haidong turned his head to look at the owners of the food stall next to him.
Seeing that the owners weren't busy, Feng Haidong carried two bottles of beer to Sun Yongxing, the owner of the food stall.
"Brother Sun, thank you so much for today, sister-in-law. Let me toast you with a bottle."
Upon hearing this, Sun Yongxing looked at the beer that Feng Haidong offered him and chuckled as he declined, saying, "Brother, what are you doing? We're all here to do business, helping each other out is no big deal."
Feng Haidong said, "Brother, don't be so polite. I've already opened it. You can't just let me drink it all by myself, can you?"
At this point, Feng Haidong looked at the proprietress who was busy clearing the table and said, "Sister-in-law, my brother and I will only drink this one bottle, is that alright?"
The proprietress looked at Sun Yongxing and said with a smile, "Okay, but Xiao Feng said it's just this one bottle, so don't drink any more. You can keep the beer to sell."
Feng Haidong smiled and said, "Okay, I'll listen to you, sister-in-law."
Then Feng Haidong handed the beer to Sun Yongxing again: "Your sister-in-law has spoken, come on, brother."
Sun Yongxing finally accepted the beer, clinked bottles with Feng Haidong, and the two men tilted their heads back and downed half a bottle of beer.
After drinking together, Sun Yongxing started talking a lot.
"Brother, to be honest, when I first saw you and your family of three come in, I saw you go inside and walk around, and then come back and ask me all sorts of questions. I immediately thought you were here to do business."
Feng Haidong nodded and said, "Yes, I can't hide it from you, brother. My wife, children, and I came here that day to check out the place. I had already prepared my things; we were planning to do business here."
Sun Yongxing said, "Brother, since you call me 'Big Brother,' let me tell you the truth, doing business is really not easy. You must persevere."
At this point, Sun Yongxing took another sip of beer and then began to recount how he and his wife first started their business.
At that time, there weren't many stalls in the night market. Sun Yongxing and his wife arrived early, so they managed to get a spot near the intersection.
Sun Yongxing said, "At first, there were really not many people here. Sometimes my wife and I would stay up all night until dawn, and we would only have one or two tables of customers a night."
Upon hearing this, Feng Haidong nodded and said, "Everything is difficult at the beginning. If it weren't for your persistence, brother and sister-in-law, the business wouldn't be doing so well now."
Sun Yongxing said, "That's right. For many days, your sister-in-law didn't want to continue. She felt that even if she stayed up all night, there would be hardly anyone to eat, and the business simply couldn't continue."
At this point, Sun Yongxing puffed out his chest and said with pride, "I said at the time, if we're going to do it, we have to stick with it. We have the skills, so why should we be afraid of not being able to do it?"
Just as Sun Yongxing was getting into the swing of things, the proprietress walked up to him and said, "Alright, alright, you've only had a few drinks and you're already bragging."
Upon hearing the landlady's words, Sun Yongxing immediately grinned and said, "Wife, it's because Brother Feng is here that I'm just showing off a little."
Seeing the appearance of Sun Yongxing and his wife, Feng Haidong couldn't help but laugh to himself.
He could roughly guess that things were probably the exact opposite of what Sun Yongxing had told him.
It's likely that Sun Yongxing was about to give up because of poor business, but was able to persevere thanks to his wife's encouragement.
Of course, the proprietress still gave her husband face in front of outsiders.
"Alright, you two, drink less. Isn't that how it is in business? There are good and bad times. Just persevere and make a living with your skills. You'll definitely succeed."
Feng Haidong immediately gave the proprietress a thumbs up: "Sister-in-law, you're absolutely right. The key is perseverance."
The proprietress then looked Feng Haidong up and down, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Little Feng, there's something I'm not sure if I should say?"
Feng Haidong asked with a puzzled look, "Sister-in-law, what do you want to say? Please speak freely, it's alright."
The proprietress glanced at Sun Yongxing and finally spoke up: "I think that no matter how well our business is doing, a man should be loyal to his family. It's really inappropriate for you to bring that young woman here tonight."
Feng Haidong was taken aback at first, then saw Sun Yongxing nodding with a serious expression.
He immediately realized that Sun Yongxing and his wife had misunderstood his relationship with Su Xin.
Feng Haidong quickly explained, "Brother, sister-in-law, you've misunderstood. Su Xin and I aren't in the kind of relationship you're thinking of. We're just friends, and my husband knows her too. We really just bumped into each other on the street tonight. I have a wife and children, how could I possibly have a relationship with another woman?"
Sun Yongxing said, "It's okay. A man must control himself and be responsible for his family."
The proprietress also said, "Yes, you can't let your brother, sister-in-law, and son down."
Feng Haidong said earnestly, "Brother and sister-in-law, don't worry, I definitely won't make that kind of mistake."
While chatting with the owners of the food stall, I suddenly heard a voice from in front of the cart: "Boss, how much are these crayfish?"
Upon hearing the voice, Feng Haidong quickly responded and went over to greet him.
When he turned his head, he saw his wife standing in front of the stroller, leading their son.
"Hey, we were just talking about this, and here you two are."
Feng Qifan looked at his father and quickly asked, "Dad, how's your business?"
