As Feng Haidong entered, he greeted his parents-in-law, "Mom and Dad, how are you feeling?"
My parents-in-law both said they were in good health.
Feng Haidong then put down his things, followed the sound of crying into the room, and saw his daughter being held and comforted by his wife.
Interestingly, the little girl happened to see Feng Haidong as he entered the room, and then the little girl, who had been crying loudly, suddenly stopped crying.
Lu Wanling held her daughter and noticed that her daughter had stopped crying. She turned her head to look at her husband, who was staring at her daughter.
"You're not crying anymore? You saw Daddy came back, so you stopped crying."
Feng Haidong grinned and stepped forward, opening his arms to say, "Daddy's little cutie, come here for a hug. Did you miss Daddy?"
Little Feng Shimeng was still in a daze until her father came close and reached out to hug her.
This time, the little girl finally came to her senses, quickly hugged her mother's neck, and snuggled into her mother's arms, refusing to let her father hold her. Clearly, she didn't recognize her father at all.
Feng Haidong rushed to his destination only to find his daughter nestled in his wife's arms, and his face fell with disappointment.
"It seems like it's been too long since I've been back; my daughter doesn't even recognize me anymore."
Lu Wanling smiled and gestured for her daughter to look at her husband. Then she whispered to her daughter, "Mengmeng, don't be afraid. This is Daddy. Didn't you cry the day Daddy left? Now that Daddy's back, Mengmeng, let Daddy hug you, okay?"
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Feng Haidong moved closer and once again carefully tried to take his daughter from his wife's arms.
It still didn't work out; the little girl ruthlessly rejected him.
