Chapter 79 Making the Wife Trust Her Brother-in-Law

In the evening, Feng Haidong packed up his stall and went home. When he opened the gate to his yard, he saw that the lamp in the living room was still on, knowing that his wife, who had brought their son home earlier, was still awake.

Upon hearing Feng Haidong enter the house, his wife immediately came out of the living room and went to the yard to help him tidy up.

While tidying up the things on the cart, Lu Wanling couldn't help but ask her husband.

“I’m still a bit worried about Lao San taking over. We’re not entirely comfortable with the storefront and advertising project at our company’s liquor market. Why did Uncle Ding suddenly decide to let Lao San handle it? And why did he have to ask you to find Lao San to take on that project?”

Feng Haidong knew that his wife had probably been holding this in since the afternoon.

He asked, somewhat amused and exasperated, "Don't you have any confidence in your own brother?"

Lu Wanling said, "How can I have any confidence in Lao San after all the things he's done in the past?"

Feng Haidong said, "Weren't all the things Lao San did in the past good? Think about it yourself, wasn't it Lao San who led the people to put up that huge billboard in the building of Dad's Materials Bureau? That was the first huge billboard in our city."

Upon hearing this, Lu Wanling said, "But he only did it that one time."

Feng Haidong said, "That one time was enough. If the bureau leaders hadn't taken back the right to use the billboard, Lao San and his team could have made a fortune with that billboard."

Lu Wanling said, "The right to use it originally belonged to the bureau. The expenses for building that billboard were all paid by the bureau. Do you really want the bureau to give the right to use the billboard to Lao San?"

Feng Haidong said, "At that time, Lao San and the others did not say they would use it for free; they were willing to give the bureau a portion of the profits."

Looking back on this matter now, Lu Wanling also feels it was indeed a pity.

If Lu Yaobin and his team had been able to rent the billboard and then sublet it, especially since Lu Yaobin had a group of people who could change the content of the billboard, they could have really built up their advertising company using that billboard.

However, they ultimately failed to secure the billboard usage rights, and now the billboard is abandoned.

While expressing her regret, Lu Wanling quickly returned to the matter at hand.

"That happened two or three years ago, right? Now you're asking Lao San to register a company and take over our unit's liquor market project. Can he still organize that group of people?"

Feng Haidong said, "You really underestimate your brother. Have you forgotten how much Gong Ting dislikes him? One of her complaints is that your third brother often brings a group of friends home for drinks and meals?"

Upon hearing this, Lu Wanling immediately understood: "That's true. Although they don't work together now, they probably eat together often, and they must drink quite a lot each time. Otherwise, Gong Ting wouldn't be so dissatisfied with him and wouldn't refuse to cook or do his laundry."

Feng Haidong sighed helplessly and said, "To be honest, I can understand why Gong Ting is angry and won't cook or do laundry for him. Your third child does need to be taken care of. But what I can't understand is that after Gong Ting gets angry, she won't even cook for the child or do laundry. I really can't understand that."

Hearing her husband say this, Lu Wanling sighed: "Yes, Gong Ting does have a problem with this. She can't take her anger out on the child when she's angry with Lao San."

Feng Haidong continued, "Moreover, if she keeps arguing with Lao San like this, something bad is bound to happen sooner or later. Men are all soft-hearted. Gong Ting can't always just stand there and fight back. She should use some gentler methods and use her tenderness to attack Lao San's weak points."

Upon hearing this, Lu Wanling looked her husband up and down and said, "Are you trying to say the same thing to me? Do you think I'm not gentle enough?"

Feng Haidong immediately said, "How could that be? You're so gentle. You're talking about your third child. Don't get too carried away with your own feelings."

Lu Wanling said, "Hmph, the third brother just needs to be treated. I think Gong Ting's method is quite good for him."

Feng Haidong said helplessly, "But she's not gentle with the third son. If another woman outside is gentle with the third son, won't your third son be seduced by that woman?"

Lu Wanling's expression hardened, and she stared at her husband intently, sensing that he seemed to know something.

"Tell me the truth, when you went to see Lao San this morning, did you see anything? Was he really having an affair with that young female accountant at his workplace?"

Feng Haidong felt somewhat helpless that his wife had guessed it so quickly, but after thinking about it, he decided not to hide it from her.

Then Feng Haidong told his wife everything about going to see his brother-in-law that morning and seeing him with a young female accountant.

After listening to her husband's account, Lu Wanling became quite annoyed.

"No, I'm going to talk to Wang Zhonghe tomorrow and ask him to transfer that young female accountant. We can't let her get close to Lao San anymore."

Feng Haidong quickly calmed his wife down: "Can you calm down? If you do this, won't everyone know? Besides, if the third son finds out, won't he come and make a scene?"

Lu Wanling displayed her tough temper, saying, "He wouldn't dare. If he dares to cause trouble, I'll slap him across the face."

Seeing his wife's expression, Feng Haidong was momentarily at a loss for words, both amused and exasperated.

If you were to ask who Lu Yaobin fears most in this world, it certainly wouldn't be Feng Haidong's parents-in-law.

The person Lu Yaobin, the younger brother-in-law, fears the most is his older sister, Lu Wanling.

Because Lu Wanling is a woman of her word; she really will slap her younger brother across the face.

However, Feng Haidong also knew that if his wife made a scene at this time, his brother-in-law's plans to start a company and take over the advertising project for the liquor market from his wife's workplace might fall through.
