Lin Jiamei said, "Not bad, not bad. I never realized before that my godfather's brother Haidong loves his wife and children so much."
Feng Haidong chuckled and said, "Of course! I just didn't show it before, but now I want to show it properly so everyone knows that I love my wife and my children very much."
Upon hearing her husband's words, Lu Wanling couldn't help but laugh and say, "Just keep showing off."
Lin Jiamei was amused: "Hahaha, my brother Haidong is getting more and more interesting. You guys go back now, see you tomorrow."
Feng Haidong then said to his sister's son, who was holding his sister's hand, "Fanfan, say goodbye to Aunt Lin."
Feng Qifan and Lu Yue said almost in unison, "Goodbye, Aunt Lin."
Lin Jiamei said, "Okay, goodbye."
Feng Haidong helped his wife and led their two children away from the kindergarten.
Lin Jiamei stood in front of the door, watching the family of four walk away. She smiled and muttered, "My godmother's fourth child is really something else. He's getting more and more interesting."
Before heading home, Feng Haidong and his wife, along with their two children, strolled around the town's market.
The town's market is different now than before; there are now many vendors setting up stalls there.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Feng Haidong bought some things for his wife and niece at the market.
If his wife hadn't stopped him, Feng Haidong would have almost brought half the market home.
As Lu Wanling watched her husband carrying large bags and small packages, she couldn't help but complain on the way back: "Why did you buy so much stuff? It's not like we're lacking food or drink at our parents' house."
Feng Haidong responded to his wife with a grin: "What I buy isn't the key; the key is to make my wife happy."
Lu Wanling was taken aback at first, then she looked at the two children holding hands in front of her, smiled and said to her husband, "We are happiest when you and our son come back to see Yueyue and me."
Feng Haidong leaned close to his wife and whispered reassuringly, "Don't worry, I'll take you back after the baby is born."
Lu Wanling nodded happily, took her husband's hand, and followed the children home.
