Du Lei shook his head, "I'm not going to repeat a year, it's pointless."
There was no ashtray in the car, so he rolled down the window and flicked the ash out the glass.
The cigarette ash fell on the glass again, and feeling embarrassed, he simply threw the cigarette away.
"Brother Lei, there are ways to avoid going to school. Have you found a good way?" Wang Peng asked.
"I've already found my path." Du Lei took out a business card from his pocket and casually handed it to Wang Peng.
Old Du Home Renovation Company, Business Manager Du Lei, Phone Number...
Wang Peng scratched his head.
In his previous life, Du Lei chose to drop out of high school after graduation.
He first worked in the decoration industry with his father and earned some money. Then he contracted construction sites and became a foreman.
"Brother Lei, give me a price quote." Wang Peng took out a renovation plan from his bag.
The plan details various renovation materials, including plumbing, electrical work, tiles, ceilings, and walls.
"Brother Peng, what do you mean?" Du Lei asked timidly.
"I bought an apartment in Warm Garden and I'm getting ready to renovate it," Wang Peng said with a smile. "I'm leaving my order to you."
"Uh..." Du Lei scratched his head, "The lowest price for a house in Wenxin Community is 40,000. You're not kidding me, are you?"
"Hehe, I don't like making jokes like that." Wang Peng shook his head.
"My God!" Du Lei immediately gave a thumbs up and said, "Brother Peng, you're awesome. I underestimated you."
Wang Peng took out the Santana's vehicle registration certificate from the car and put Du Lei's business card into the plastic case...
Holy crap!
Du Lei snatched the vehicle registration certificate and saw that the owner's name was Wang Peng.
"Brother Peng, what's going on? You bought Li Longfei's car?"
"Yeah, this car bankrupted me," Wang Peng laughed. "I still owe Mengjiao's family tens of thousands of yuan for buying it."
"Wow!" Du Lei blushed with excitement. "Brother Peng, I'll follow you from now on. Please mentor me."
Wang Peng was taken aback, and immediately began to consider business matters.
University life is much easier than high school, so I definitely need to do business and not waste my four years of university.
What kind of business do you do?
Wang Peng said, "You should renovate my house first, and then come and help me when I've decided what kind of business to start."
At this point, a thought suddenly struck him, "Brother Lei, what do you think about opening a tobacco and liquor store?"
"I want to open a tobacco and liquor store first, then a small supermarket, and finally we'll become the Walmart of this place," Wang Peng added.
Du Lei scratched his head. "Wake up, it's daytime now."
Walmart ranked fourth among this year's Fortune Global 500 companies.
He handed the driver's license to Wang Peng and said with a smile, "Running a tobacco and liquor store is the safest business; it's hard to lose money, but it's also hard to make a lot of money."
Wang Peng nodded.
Cigarettes have low profit margins, but a stable customer base means that several households don't have to worry about selling them.
The profit margin for alcoholic beverages is quite high. Although there is no shortage of customers, the initial investment is substantial.
Du Lei lowered his head in deep thought.
After a long pause, he said, "There's a tobacco and liquor store on this street, and it does pretty good business."
"Alright, let's start with the tobacco and liquor store."
Wang Peng made the decision on the spot.
If we can't become Walmart in the future, then let's become P Donglai.
"Holy crap, my brother, are you serious?" Du Lei's eyes widened. "No market research, just going to do it like this?"
Wang Peng smiled slightly.
"My major in college was business administration, which requires combining theory with practice."
"Brother Lei, if I open a tobacco and liquor store, would you dare to come and help me?"
Wang Peng used a provocation tactic.
"Damn it, don't provoke me!" Du Lei said with a smug look, "As long as you dare to open a shop, I dare to work for you."
"Okay! It's a deal!" Wang Peng grasped his hand. "Brother Lei, you can't go back on your word."
"Go back on your word, my foot." Du Lei waved the renovation quote in his hand.
“Let’s go, let’s go see your house first. We’ll pick up two renovation workers from my dad’s shop, and I’ll have them design a renovation plan for you,” Du Lei added.
Wang Peng glanced at his watch; it was already four in the afternoon, time to find a place to stay.
He took out his house key and handed it to Du Lei.
"Building No. 6, Unit 3, second floor, east-facing unit."
"You can go see the apartment yourself tomorrow; I have some other things to do."
Wang Peng said.
"Hehe!" Du Lei chuckled slyly, "Are you on a date with my sister-in-law?"
Wang Peng nodded, "I just arrived in the provincial capital today, I should go see her."
“Okay, I won’t disturb your date then,” Du Lei said. “Give me your address, and I’ll come find you once the renovation plan is finalized.”
"I'll come find you tomorrow afternoon," Wang Peng said.
The two men chatted for a few more minutes before Du Lei got out of the car and left.
Wang Peng turned the car around and drove to the light bulb factory's residential compound.
The car stopped in front of the convenience store in the residential compound.
"Comrade, give me two bottles of Zhenghe Daqu," Wang Peng said, pointing to the metal boxes of liquor on the shelf. "How much?"
"Twenty yuan a bottle, forty yuan for two bottles," the shop owner said.
Wang Peng was taken aback, then took out his wallet and pulled out forty yuan.
I was amazed at how cheap the prices were in the provincial capital; the retail price of a tin box of Zhenghe liquor in Ping'an County was only 23 yuan.
The shop owner took the wine from the shelf and put it in two plastic bags.
Wang Peng was about to pay when someone patted him on the shoulder.
“Uncle Li!” he smiled.
The person who took the picture was his girlfriend's father, Li Kefan.
"Xiaopeng, what are you buying?" Li Kefan frowned.
"I'll buy you two bottles of Tie Zhenghe beer, let's have a good drink together, you and I," Wang Peng said.
"Don't buy it anymore, I've quit." Li Kefan grabbed Wang Peng's wrist and turned to walk towards the car.
