Chapter 139 University Opening

Wang Peng waited two days, preparing himself for the trouble caused by his awful relatives.

On the third day, he couldn't wait any longer and took his girlfriend to the school to pay the tuition.

School is about to officially start.

A banner hangs at the entrance of the provincial university: Welcome to the Class of 1995.

There were many people standing at the entrance, all of them volunteers made up of upperclassmen, helping freshmen find dormitories and classrooms.

The School of Fine Arts and the School of Business Administration are both located on the old campus.

"Excuse me, are you an art student?"

Four girls approached Li Mingzhu.

"Yes, you are senior students from the art department?"

Li Mingzhu countered with a question.

She was carrying a drawing board on her back, so she was obviously from an art academy.

"Junior, we're both from the art department. Do you want us to help you register?"

The short-haired girl at the head of the group looked at Wang Peng and smiled, "Junior, are you my boyfriend?"

Wang Peng nodded and said, "Mingzhu, do you want me to sign up with you?"

"No need," Li Mingzhu said with a smile. "You go register first, and I'll wait for you at the main gate."

The two were in different colleges, but not too far apart, and she wanted to complete the registration herself.

She didn't want her boyfriend to think she was incapable of taking care of herself.

Wang Peng nodded, pointed to the library next door, and agreed to meet at the library entrance.

Li Mingzhu went to register with several senior students.

Wang Peng turned to go to the School of Business Administration, where he was stopped by a girl at the main gate.

"Junior, my name is Zhang Ling. Do you remember me?"

The girl was wearing a white dress, leather shoes, and had her hair in a ponytail, radiating youthful energy.

Wang Peng thought for a moment and said, "So it's Senior Zhang."

Last time I drove to the campus, two girls and a boy sat on the hood of the car to take pictures, and Zhang Ling was one of them.

"Junior Wang Peng, I'm really sorry about last time."

Zhang Ling extended her right hand and said, "Let's get acquainted. I'm the student council president, a third-year journalism student. My name is Zhang (弓长张), and my surname is Ling (玲珑)."

"My name is Wang Peng, and I'm a freshman in the School of Business Administration." Wang Peng shook hands with her.

As I let go, my palm felt itchy, and the other person gently scratched it with their fingernail.

When a girl scratches a boy's palm, it's a teasing gesture, indicating a willingness to have a closer relationship.

Wang Peng immediately frowned.

"Junior, I'll take you to register at the School of Business Administration."

Zhang Ling turned around and waved to a few boys, "Dalin, Ertao, come and help the juniors carry their luggage."

"No need," Wang Peng immediately refused.

Four boys ran over and enthusiastically helped him carry his backpack and suitcase.

The backpack contained bedding, sheets, and a pillow, while the suitcase held toiletries such as toothpaste and a toothbrush.

My home is quite far from school, but I have a bed in the dormitory where I can take a nap at noon.

"Junior, don't be shy. It's only right for classmates to help each other."

Zhang Ling smiled and said, "Let's go, I'll take you to register first."

"Chairman Zhang, there's really no need to go to such lengths."

Wang Peng decided to entrust the task to a fake snake, wanting to see what the other party was really up to.

Zhang Ling said, "Junior, helping classmates is the responsibility of the student council."

The two chatted as they walked to the registration point for the Business School.

Four boys followed behind, deliberately keeping a distance.

Wang Peng suspected that the four boys were people Zhang Ling had arranged in advance, so this was not a coincidence.

The Business School is very large and enrolls many students; the registration area was crowded with people.

Wang Peng queued to pay his tuition and learned that he was in room 502 of building 5 in the boys' dormitory, and his classroom number was 9527.

"Holy crap, what the hell is 9527?" Wang Peng couldn't help but complain.

“Brother Peng, 9 represents the Ninth Teaching District, 5 is Building No. 5, 2 is the second floor, and 7 is Classroom No. 7.”

Zhang Ling explained, "This is the classroom where you have your classes."

"Senior, please just call me Wang Peng."

Wang Peng doesn't like the nickname "Peng Didi" (Little Brother Peng), as it's too affectionate.

"Junior, we'll be friends from now on, so don't stand on ceremony with me."

Zhang Ling said, "Let's go, I'll take you to the boys' dormitory."

"No need, it's inconvenient for you to go to the boys' dormitory."

Wang Peng refused again.

"It's okay. I often go to the boys' dormitory to handle work, and the old man guarding the gate knows me."

Zhang Ling said with a smile.

"Senior, I can find my own dorm. Why don't you go help other students?"

Wang Peng had figured out what she was thinking, so he simply laid it out on the table: "I'm going to see my girlfriend later, so I won't bother you."

Zhang Ling was taken aback and then laughed, "Junior, is your girlfriend that junior girl who draws art last time?"

“Yes.” Wang Peng nodded. “Actually, it’s not just my girlfriend; we’re getting our marriage certificate right away.”

"Oh, I see. Congratulations!"

A hint of resentment flashed in Zhang Ling's eyes. "The dormitory building is over there. Xiao Lin, you guys help the junior move his luggage."

"Really, you don't need to."

Wang Peng took the backpack and suitcase from the boy and said, "Thank you again for your help."

After saying that, he slung his backpack over his shoulder, picked up his suitcase, and left.

Watching his retreating figure, Zhang Ling let out a cold snort.

"Cousin, he's getting married soon, just ignore him."

The boy who had just helped Wang Peng carry his bag said that.

"None of your business?" Zhang Ling turned and went back to the student union office.

She was extremely depressed and cursed Wang Peng for being blind to her worth.

“Li Mingzhu’s looks and figure are not as good as mine, so why do you look down on me?” Zhang Ling gritted her teeth in jealousy.

Passing by the school parking lot, I saw a Santana sedan, and upon checking the license plate, I realized it was Wang Peng's car.

Several girls were whispering among themselves around the car.
