"Officer, are you not handling drunk driving anymore?"
Zhou Shun was completely dumbfounded; he never expected to encounter such a serious traffic policeman.
Li Keyong sneered, "What do you mean by 'don't care'?"
"The Road Traffic Safety Law clearly stipulates that driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol is illegal, but no specific handling method has been given yet."
Upon hearing this, Zhou Shun's heart skipped a beat.
What I fear most is a law that lacks specific penalties, because it allows for too much discretionary power.
If he were an ordinary citizen, this kind of violation wouldn't matter; at most, he would receive a reprimand and a fine.
But he is the principal, so there are many more articles in his book.
“Comrade, I’m good friends with Comrade Zhou Dali from the branch office,” Zhou Shun said hurriedly.
“He and I are good friends, is there a problem?” Li Keyong asked with a half-smile.
"Comrade, could I make a phone call to him?" Zhou Shun asked anxiously. "My son also works at the branch office."
Li Keyong waved his hand, "Don't tell me this useless stuff, just wait for the results."
The implication is that you can't go anywhere until the test results are in.
This had to be done officially, and Zhou Shun became even more anxious.
"Driving under the influence of alcohol and causing traffic accidents is a very serious problem."
Li Ke patted him on the shoulder and said, "Comrade Zhou Shun, please cooperate with our work."
Zhou Shun promptly shut up; he wanted free time to go out and call for backup.
After a long while, the doctor came in with the lab results.
Li Keyong looked at the test results and said, "Your blood alcohol content is 90 milligrams. This is not driving under the influence of alcohol, but drunk driving."
“Comrade Zhou Shun, we must impose administrative penalties on you; you may be detained.”
Zhou Shun's head buzzed; he absolutely could not accept this stain.
"Comrade, I'll accept the fine if you fine me."
Li Keyong shook his head, "The fine will still apply, but that doesn't affect the detention."
"Comrade!" Zhou Shun felt a chill run down his spine. "I am an educator; I cannot have a detention record."
"How can you educate others with your drunk driving behavior?" Li Keyong sneered.
Speechless, Zhou Shun was rendered speechless by the rebuttal.
“I need to go outside to make a phone call.” He stared straight at Li Keyong.
“Okay, come with me.” Li Keyong stood up.
There was a public telephone in the corridor. Li Keyong inserted the phone card, entered the password and other information as prompted, and handed the receiver to Zhou Shun.
Zhou Shun hurriedly called Feng Dali.
The call was answered quickly, and he hurriedly explained the current situation, speaking rapidly.
A moment later, he handed the phone to Li Keyong, saying, "Director Feng wants you to take this call."
Li Keyong put the receiver to his ear and said, "This is Li Keyong from the traffic management team."
“I am Feng Dali. Don’t let him call me again. You can handle your own cases.”
The other party hung up the phone.
"Old Zhou, he doesn't want you to call him anymore."
Li Keyong handed him the microphone and said with a smile, "Who else would you like to call? Please go ahead."
Zhou Shun turned pale and immediately called home, telling his wife the hospital address and asking her to ask their son to come.
After making the call, he returned to his hospital room and lay down.
She thought that once her son arrived, all the problems would be solved.
After a long time, a middle-aged woman rushed over; she was Zhou Shun's wife.
"Old Liu, where's Dahua?" Zhou Shun asked her hurriedly.
Liu Shengnan's face was grim. "Old Feng called home, and Da Hua can't come."
Boom! Zhou Shun's head was buzzing; he had kicked a hornet's nest this time.
He stared at Li Keyong and said, "Tell me what you want to do with me."
Without specific penalty provisions, Li Keyong really didn't know how to handle the situation.
"Old Zhou, you should stay in the hospital and recover first. I'll ask my superiors for instructions tomorrow."
Li Keyong left the ward and instructed two colleagues to take turns guarding it.
It was already late at night when Li Keyong suddenly had a craving for a cigarette, but he couldn't find even a single one in the entire carriage.
The shops on the main street had long since closed.
He was feeling restless, so he drove to Brothers Tobacco and Liquor Store and insisted on getting a pack of cigarettes.
Soon, he arrived outside the tobacco and liquor store.
He opened the car door and got out, looking up at the second floor, "Du Lei, Du Lei!"
Du Lei was fast asleep when he vaguely heard someone calling him.
"Is Du Lei home?"
Realizing someone was calling him, Du Lei quickly turned on the light and opened the window. "Who is it?"
“It’s me, Wang Peng’s uncle,” Li Keyong shouted, “and throw me a pack of cigarettes.”
"Wait a minute, I'll be right down." Du Lei doesn't smoke, and there were no cigarettes in the bedroom.
He hurriedly put on his clothes.
"Du Lei, don't go down, it's so late."
Du Lei turned to look at Dong Shishi's bedroom when he heard a woman's voice.
The bedroom was pitch black, and the door was ajar.
"Sister Shishi, Mingzhu's uncle lives downstairs, nothing will happen."
Du Lei said, "You should go to sleep. I'll go take care of it."
After saying that, he quickly went downstairs, turned on the lights in the shop, and opened the door to invite Li Ke in.
"Uncle Ke Yong, why aren't you off work yet, it's so late?"
Du Lei gave him a bag of greenstone and charged him the purchase price.
With a snap, Li Keyong lit a cigarette and took a couple of comfortable puffs.
"I just finished a mission and then I encountered a traffic accident on the road, which has been bothering me until now."
Du Lei's curiosity was piqued, and he asked, "What kind of traffic accident?"
As he spoke, he took a cup and poured hot water, saying, "Uncle, have some hot water before you go."
Li Keyong was indeed thirsty and said, "Zhou Shun, the president of the provincial university, I don't know where he drank, and he fell off his motorcycle."
