Niu Qinghui arrived at the Brothers Tobacco and Liquor Store, parked his car on the side of the road, and strode into the store.
Seeing Song Lamei serving drinks to guests, he flew into a rage, shouting, "Song Lamei, who gave you permission to work here?"
Song Lamei quickly lowered her head, waiting to be scolded.
The next second, she realized that this was not Qinghui's place, and she was not one of Niu Qinghui's men, so she immediately looked up and met his gaze.
Having been verbally abused by Niu Qinghui for so long, she didn't even have the courage to talk back at this moment.
Dong Shishi wasn't in the store, so Du Lei assumed this man was Song Lamei's husband and said, "Comrade, let's talk this out."
"Young man, I have nothing to do with you."
Niu Qinghui ignored Du Lei and questioned in a deep voice, "Song Lamei, do you dare to leave without my permission?"
“I’m not your employee now, so why are you telling me what to do?” Song Lamei mustered up her courage to retort.
"Wait a minute." Du Lei stepped out from behind the counter, pointing at Niu Qinghui, and said, "Sister Song, isn't he your lover?"
"Whose lover is he?" Song Lamei cried in anger. "Brother Lei, he's the owner of Qinghui Supermarket."
"Niu Qinghui?" Du Lei laughed angrily, pointing to the door and shouting, "Get out! You're not welcome here!"
The top ten supermarkets besieged Brother, and Qinghui Supermarket was one of them. How could Du Lei not be angry?
Who do you think you are, daring to call me by my name?
"I'm your father, are you going to get out or not?"
"You bastard, get Wang Peng out here to see me."
Du Lei bent down, picked up a stool, and smashed it down.
Niu Qinghui was shocked. He turned around and ran away. He stood at the store entrance staring at Du Lei, his face red with anger.
“I’m not going to argue with you. You can have Wang Peng come out to see me, and you can have Li Mingzhu come out to see me.”
"You think you're worthy?" Du Lei sneered. "Don't interfere with my business. If you don't get out of here, I'll call the police."
Niu Qinghui pointed at Song Lamei, "This person is my employee. She hasn't resigned yet. Why should our sister store hire her?"
Du Lei was taken aback and turned to look at Song Lamei.
“No, Brother Du Lei.” Song Lamei hurriedly waved her hand. “I didn’t sign a contract with him. He fired me yesterday. He was supposed to give me seventy yuan in wages, but he only gave me fifty.”
"Good heavens, seventy minus twenty, you heartless bastard!" Du Lei reached for a stool again.
Niu Qinghui said urgently, "Du Lei, right? You're a businessman too. A gentleman uses words, not fists."
"Good heavens, you call yourself a gentleman?" Du Lei sneered. "Old Niu, since you fired her, I can use her."
“I didn’t fire her; it was her manager who fired her without my consent, and I haven’t signed the papers yet,” Niu Qinghui said.
"Old Niu, do you think I'm stupid? Who would pay her a salary out of their own pocket without your permission?"
Du Lei shook his head, picked up the phone casually, and said, "I'm too lazy to waste my breath on you. I'll have the police talk to you."
Niu Qinghui immediately said, "Call Wang Peng and have him come over to talk to me."
Du Lei scratched his head, wondering if he was really the owner of the tenth largest supermarket in the provincial capital. With such an impulsive temper, how could he have built such a large business?
"Boss Niu, you should leave. I can only argue with you at most, but if you anger Brother Peng, he might really beat you up."
“If you want to talk to Brother Peng, that’s fine, but please find another place. Don’t stand at the door and affect business.”
After finishing his sentence in one breath, Du Lei put down the phone and stared at him coldly.
When a scholar meets a common soldier, arguing any further will only lead to defeat. Niu Qinghui snorted coldly and turned to wait for Wang Peng in the car.
"Sister Song, is this guy out of his mind?"
Du Lei scratched his head, puzzled, and asked, "He already fired you, why is he coming to find you again?"
Song Lamei whispered, "He bragged in front of so many people, saying that Brother Peng wouldn't use me, but Brother Peng insisted on using me anyway."
"Oh, I see." Du Lei sneered, "So you were humiliated by Brother Peng, so you came here to cause trouble for him, hehe."
Du Lei shook his head. "He'd better get lost. If we wait for Brother Peng to come back, hehe."
"Brother Lei," Song Lamei said urgently, "you must persuade Brother Peng to stay. He has connections in the bureau, you can't hit him."

In a residential compound on Huayuan Road, Niu Jiefang and Qian Manjiang were playing chess in the courtyard.
Qian Manjiang won four games in a row, and in the last game he completely crushed Niu Jiefang, making him so happy that he danced with joy.
"You drank fake alcohol, didn't you? It's really not strong!" Niu Jiefang said angrily, picking up his stool and leaving. "I'm not playing anymore!"
Qian Manjiang packed up the chessboard, humming a little tune as he returned home. He used to always get killed by Lao Niu, but today he finally got his revenge.
Seeing him so happy, his wife laughed and said, "Did you kill the old ox and it ran away?"
"Hmph, that lousy chess player of his, killing him is as easy as drinking." Qian Manjiang wanted to have a drink whenever he was happy.
He picked up the Jin Sanhua on the table, hesitated for a moment, and then picked up the ginseng powder wine.
Jin Sanhua was too peaceful; without the ginseng wine to boost his spirits, he forgot Wang Peng's instructions as soon as school started.
After drinking a couple of ginseng wines, he lay on the bed to rest, recalling the chess game that killed the old ox.
Suddenly, everything went black before his eyes, and he couldn't see anything. Just as he was about to call out to his wife, he lost consciousness.
A few minutes later, my wife brought the laundry tub into the house.
Looking at Old Jin on the bed, he laughed and scolded, "You old codger, you drink a couple of sips when you lose at chess, and you drink a couple of sips when you win. You'll drink yourself to death sooner or later."
...
At the First People's Hospital of the provincial capital, Li Mingzhu's foot has fully recovered.
Wang Peng discharged her from the hospital, took her back to the school, and drove directly to Laboratory Building No. 7.
The two went into the laboratory building, found Teacher Lin, and Wang Peng gave him two packs of cigarettes.
"Xiao Peng, this is the last time."
Old Lin chuckled, put the cigarettes in his pocket, and handed the lab report to Wang Peng. "The results are in. Take a look for yourself."
