Classroom 1.
Wang Peng wrote a note: "There's a girl in Class 8 who wears Apple jeans. She's short and slightly chubby. Do you know her?"
Li Mengjiao thought carefully, picked up her pen and wrote, "Her name is Zhang Qianqian, a student at the town's No. 1 Middle School. Her father runs a video arcade at the train station, and her family is wealthy."
"Video parlor?" Wang Peng scratched his head, recalling the scenes in video parlors.
In a small, smoke-filled house, a group of grown men sat watching pornographic videos, covering their crotches.
Li Mengjiao gave Wang Peng another note.
"Zhang Qianqian had three boyfriends at the town's No. 1 Middle School, and all of them had good grades."
After dating Zhang Qianqian, they all went astray, and their grades plummeted.
One of them was named Li Zhuo, who used to be among the top five students at the town's No. 1 Middle School. This year, he didn't get into No. 1 Middle School and went to No. 3 Middle School instead.
Zhang Qianqian's grades were also very poor, but her family was wealthy, and her father bought her a place as a transfer student.
After reading the note, Wang Peng smiled slightly.
Does Zhang Qianqian only date boys with good grades?
A water ghost that specifically lures people into the water?
At this moment, Wang Peng felt unwell in his stomach, so he tore off a piece of toilet paper and went to the toilet.
A dozen minutes later, he returned to the classroom and found that his classmates were all looking at him.
Li Mengjiao handed over a note, "You promise your homeroom teacher that you'll be in the top ten in the next monthly exam?"
"How did you know?" Wang Peng asked directly, too lazy to pass another note.
"The homeroom teacher just came and told me about it herself," Li Mengjiao said softly.
"Holy crap!" Wang Peng was stunned.
My cousin's husband in my past life wasn't a gossip, so why is he so talkative in this life?
Wang Peng shook his head, walked up to the podium and announced that the school would be closed for two days. After school, everyone should go home and find their own mothers.
The classroom instantly transformed into a scene of human atavism.
The school only gives two days off each month, and the rest of the days are spent in class, so everyone is already feeling restless.
Chen Xiaojing stood up and egged them on, "You made a pledge to the homeroom teacher, everyone knows that, do you have confidence?"
With a loud bang, the classroom erupted in chaos once again.
"Dapeng, if you don't complete the military order, will the homeroom teacher look at your head?"
"Of course it will, otherwise why would it be called a military order, with the head hanging in the marketplace and the head displayed to the public?"
"Brother Dapeng, you're so pitiful. You've been removed from your position as class monitor. Come here, let your big sister give you a hug."
"Ha ha……"
The classroom instantly transformed into a sea of joy.
"You bunch of bastards, how dare you make fun of me, and even hang your heads in the marketplace?"
Wang Peng was both amused and exasperated by their antics, and returned to his seat amidst a chorus of cheers.
Now we have to work incredibly hard, or we'll lose face if we don't make it into the top ten.
Li Mengjiao said, "Come home with me after school, my dad insists on treating you to a meal."
"Mengjiao, I'm going too!" Chen Xiaojing immediately stuck her head out; she couldn't hold back when she heard about food.
"Okay, okay, I'll come to your house for dinner," Wang Peng agreed.
He didn't want to eat this meal, but this was the third time he had been invited, and it would be disrespectful to refuse.
When the school bell rang, the students rushed out like wild horses released from their stalls.
Wang Peng packed his things, put his schoolbag on his back, went to the bike shed to get his bicycle, and went to visit the Li family.
"Oh my! So this Merida is yours?" Chen Xiaojing's eyes lit up.
"Is it strange?" Wang Peng chuckled, patting the back seat. "Shall I give you a ride?"
"No!" Chen Xiaojing got into Li Mengjiao's car. "I'm afraid people will misunderstand."
"You're afraid Xia Luo will misunderstand, aren't you?" Wang Peng walked out of the bike shed and looked up to see Zhang Qianqian and Wang Cheng coming downstairs together.
"Who is Xia Luo? Tell me!" Chen Xiaojing raised her fist. "Wang Peng, how dare you slander my reputation?"
"What are they doing? Are they dating?" Wang Peng frowned as he stared at Wang Cheng and Zhang Qianqian.
Li Mengjiao turned around and saw Zhang Qianqian, and reached out to greet her. The two were schoolmates.
"That person is Wang Cheng, right? They're dating? No way!" Chen Xiaojing's face was full of gossip.
“Wang Cheng is alright. He ranked second in Class 8 in this monthly exam, but he meets Zhang Qianqian’s criteria for a partner.” A hint of disdain flashed in Li Mengjiao’s eyes.
Wang Peng couldn't help but sneer.
In my past life, I used my hard-earned money to send you to school and ensure you had enough to eat and drink.
If I didn't support you in this life, you would have fallen so low as to sell your body and live off a woman, right?
...
At the school gate, Zhang Qianqian pushed her bicycle and asked Wang Cheng, "Is someone going to pick you up and take you home?"
"I'll go home by myself," Wang Cheng said. "My family doesn't know I'm on holiday, so I'll take a three-wheeled vehicle home."
“It’s not safe to ride a three-wheeled vehicle. You can ride my bike back; my home is nearby,” Zhang Qianqian said.
Wang Cheng hurriedly refused, "Bicycles are expensive, don't lend them to just anyone, I'm worried your parents will scold you."
"They won't scold me." Zhang Qianqian smiled knowingly. "You're quite considerate. I'll lend it to you again next time."
The two parted ways at the school gate. Wang Cheng still had three yuan in his pocket and couldn't bear to take the tricycle home.
We walked and stopped along the way, covering more than ten miles, and returned to Wangcun at dusk.
The Wang family had just finished cooking.
On the table were cornbread, pickled radishes, and stir-fried spinach—very vegetarian.
When Wang Song and Li Guifen saw Wang Cheng return, they immediately went to the courtyard to greet him.
Wang Xia and Wang Zhen had no choice but to put down their chopsticks and go out together to greet their second brother.
"I got second place in the class in this monthly exam, and my homeroom teacher praised me." Wang Cheng opened his backpack and took out the exam paper.
"Oh my, my son is so smart! He's amazing!" Li Guifen immediately beamed with joy.
"What rank did he get?" Wang Song asked.
