At the provincial capital's international airport, four cars were parked outside.
The car door opened, and Wang Peng got out. He opened the back door and helped Li Mingzhu and Wang Jiye get out of the car.
The other car doors opened one after another, and a group of people got out. Leading them were Du Lei and Hu Mingyue.
Behind them followed Hu Qing and other company managers; senior executives from Brother Supermarket had all arrived.
Li Mingzhu, holding her son, came to Du Lei's side and said reproachfully, "Leizi, didn't we tell you not to come?"
Du Lei scratched his head and chuckled, "Brother Peng, sister-in-law, we'll all miss you if you leave for a month or two."
Hu Mingyue held her arm and said with a smile, "You should leave Jiye here. I'll take care of him for you. You and Peng can have fun over there."
Everyone laughed at this. Wang Peng said, "Mingzhu, you could actually leave the child with our father."
“No way.” Li Mingzhu hurriedly shook her head. “I can’t stand missing my son if I don’t see him for a day.”
That's true. If Wang Peng didn't see his son for two months, he wouldn't be able to stand it either.
He shook his head and said in a deep voice, "Brother Lei, Mingyue, Sister Hu, the company will be relying on you while I'm abroad."
“The Brilliant Group won’t let this opportunity pass. Especially Wang Cheng, he’ll definitely cause trouble, so you need to be careful,” Wang Peng added.
Hu Mingyue chuckled and said, "Don't worry. With me and Brother Lei here, those clowns can't cause any trouble."
Du Lei said seriously, "Brother Peng, don't worry, I will do my best."
Wang Peng was still a little worried, so he patted Du Lei on the shoulder and said, "If you encounter any tricky problems, remember to contact me."
An announcement came over the loudspeaker at the airport. Wang Peng glanced at his watch; it was almost time to prepare for boarding.
He waved goodbye to everyone, pulled his suitcase, and walked into the international airport with his wife and children.
After some trouble, he finally arrived at the waiting area. He held his child and watched the passengers coming and going.
“Honey, if I remember correctly, this is your second time going to England, right?” Li Mingzhu asked with a smile.
"Yes." Wang Peng nodded and said, "The first time I went there, we weren't married yet. I went to accompany Mengjiao during her pregnancy."
Speaking of this topic, Wang Peng felt somewhat ashamed. At the time, he was very lost in life and didn't know how to take care of the two people he loved most.
Li Mingzhu laughed and said, "Your past with Mengjiao is a tangled mess that can't be untangled. In fact, from the first moment I saw Mengjiao, I knew she was my lifelong enemy."
"Lifelong enemies." Wang Peng smiled wryly. "It's not that bad, you two get along quite well. It's mainly because you're magnanimous."
"Oh dear, you're trying to sweet-talk me again." Li Mingzhu chuckled. "Honey, it's been a long time since we've seen Mengjiao and the others, hasn't it?"
Wang Peng thought about it carefully and nodded. Li Mengjiao's last visit to the provincial capital was about three or four months ago. He wasn't entirely sure.
As for her parents, Li Longfei and Aunt Xu, they haven't seen each other for at least two years.
Recalling how the elderly couple took care of him when he was in high school in Ping'an County, Wang Peng sighed softly, "Yes, it's been a long time since we last met."
Li Mingzhu held his arm and said softly, "Honey, have you thought about the future?"
Wang Peng understood what she meant. How would he get along with Mengjiao and their daughter in the future? They couldn't always be separated, could they?
He shook his head: "I don't know, I really don't know. We'll just have to wait and see what happens in the future."
Li Mingzhu smiled and said, "Do you still remember what you promised me?"
Wang Peng was taken aback, then nodded. It was an agreement the couple made when their Brothers No. 1 store burned down.
"Once I achieve financial freedom, I'll take you around the world," Wang Peng said. "I haven't forgotten."
Li Mingzhu asked, "Honey, when will we achieve financial freedom? Do you have a plan?"
After thinking it over carefully, Wang Peng said, "How about I take over Huihuang and make Brothers Supermarket the leading supermarket in the provincial capital?"
"Okay." Li Mingzhu hugged her son and nodded with a smile.
Just then, the airport announced their boarding announcement. The couple went through security and prepared to board the plane.
The plane took off on time. Wang Jiye also woke up and stared wide-eyed out the window.
Li Mingzhu smiled and said, "Honey, this is our son's first time on an airplane. Look, he seems to really enjoy it."
Wang Peng nodded: "How about we buy him a private jet in the future?"
"Huh?" Li Mingzhu couldn't help but laugh out loud.
They flew in silence until the plane landed safely at the British airport. As soon as they arrived outside, Wang Peng spotted Li Mengjiao and her daughter.
"Dad!" Five-year-old Wang Buhui ran towards them, holding a bunch of sunflowers in her hand.
Behind her followed Li Mengjiao, Li Longfei, and Xu Rong. The entire Li family of four had come.
"Haha." Wang Peng was in a great mood, and he hugged his daughter tightly, spinning her around in circles.
Wang Buhui was also excited and let out a silvery laugh.
When the Li family arrived, Li Mingzhu greeted them.
Xu Rong took Wang Jiye from her arms, beaming from ear to ear: "Mingzhu, this child's face really looks like Xiaopeng's."
"Haha, that's what everyone says." Li Mingzhu shook hands with Li Longfei first, then hugged Li Mengjiao.
The two hugged each other, suddenly overwhelmed with emotion, and both recalled things from a long time ago.
Li Mingzhu had done a great favor for the Li family. When Li Longfei was arrested for operating a video arcade, he would have been imprisoned if it weren't for Li Mingzhu's help.
"Dad, did you miss me?" Wang Buhui hugged Wang Peng's neck and kissed his forehead.
Wang Peng almost burst into tears at those words, and hurriedly nodded: "Yes, I think about you all every day."
"Then why don't you come to see me? I miss you every day," Wang Buhui said.
Wang Peng couldn't hold back anymore, and tears finally welled up in his eyes. He couldn't bear to look at his daughter's face, and he didn't know what to say.
"No regrets. Dad's very busy, but he's here now, isn't he?" Li Mengjiao quickly came to his rescue.
Wang Peng shook his head: "I don't regret it. It's my fault, Dad. I'm sorry."
"No, no." Wang Buhui suddenly regretted it. "Dad, I made you sad."
"No." Wang Peng hugged his daughter tightly, unwilling to put her down.
Li Mengjiao said, "Brother Peng, Sister Mingzhu, let's go home first."
A James Bond van was parked nearby. The group got into the car. The driver, a young Black man, drove them to Li Mengjiao's house.
Li Mengjiao and Li Mingzhu sat together, chatting and laughing, having a very pleasant conversation.
Xu Rong held Wang Jiye and kept teasing him. Wang Peng could tell that she genuinely liked the little boy.
Wang Peng, holding his daughter, chatted with Li Longfei about business matters and his past experiences in Ping'an County.
Li Longfei asked, "I heard that your brother's supermarket is booming and has become the largest supermarket in the provincial capital?"
"It's not the biggest yet, but it will be soon," Wang Peng said with a smile. "Uncle Long, how's James Bond doing lately?"
Li Longfei nodded: "Everything is normal, this is all thanks to Mengjiao."
As they chatted, the car arrived at the Li family villa.
