The math competition has begun.
This competition was organized uniformly by the province and was an official written test.
Students take the exam in their respective classes, and the atmosphere is like an open-book exam, allowing for free discussion and browsing of materials.
"Teacher, I don't know how to do this problem, can you take a look?" Wang Peng pointed to the function problem on the test paper.
The math teacher quietly read the question aloud, then frowned. "I don't know either."
"Fine!" Wang Peng could only skip this question and move on to the next one.
"I do have an idea, shall we discuss it?" Li Mengjiao said softly, "But I'm not sure if it's the right idea?"
“Okay.” Wang Peng immediately discussed it with her in a low voice.
The math teacher didn't stop them; the students were free to discuss among themselves.
Because mathematics is a science that can't be faked; if you know it, you know it; if you don't, you don't.
No matter how you cheat, just two questions will expose your true colors.
After two hours of exam time, the teacher began collecting the papers.
Wang Peng completed 90% of the questions.
School had already let out, and there was no need for evening self-study, so the students went out to wander around outside the campus.
After packing her schoolbag, Li Mengjiao asked, "Wang Peng, are you going home now?"
"Let's go back together." Wang Peng immediately guessed that she might have something to do.
Although the two lived in the same village, Li Mengjiao would only wait for him to come home after evening self-study.
The two went down from the teaching building, rode their bicycles out of the school gate, and arrived at the outskirts of Xiaowangzhuang Village.
Li Mengjiao stopped her bicycle and said, "Wang Peng, are you very familiar with Principal Xu Wei?"
"Not familiar with it," Wang Peng said, scratching his head.
He and Principal Xu Wei often bumped into each other at school, but they never exchanged more than a few words.
"Why are you asking this?" Wang Peng asked her.
Li Mengjiao hesitated for a moment, then suddenly blushed.
Looking up at Wang Peng, she whispered, "Dong Jiaqi told me that you and Principal Xu have that kind of relationship."
"What's the relationship?" Wang Peng was a little confused.
Dong Jiaqi is a girl sitting in the back row, and her grades are average in her class.
She has a chubby little face, a very lively personality, and talks a lot of nonsense.
"Last night, Dong Jiaqi's roommates were chatting, and they started talking about you."
“A sister said that you have an improper relationship with Principal Xu, so the principal allowed you to sell ballpoint pens at school.”
"She also said that Principal Xu used to give you special treatment when you were making fried rice and delivering food at school."
After saying this, Li Mengjiao shut her mouth, looked up at Wang Peng, and a hint of gossip flashed in her eyes.
Wang Peng was completely dumbfounded.
This is spreading rumors, spreading rumors about him and Principal Xu.
Principal Xu is only in her thirties. She commutes to and from get off work on a scooter every day. She is beautiful and dresses fashionably.
"That's bullshit," Wang Peng said, both amused and exasperated.
However, he wasn't surprised that such rumors came from the female group.
"Mengjiao, do you believe what you're saying?" he asked.
Li Mengjiao shook her head, "Xue Dongshan is currently handling the food delivery business, and the principal still doesn't care. So, I believe this is a rumor."
“I don’t care about these rumors, but I do care about the people who started them,” Wang Peng sneered.
Who is spreading false rumors?
Why spread pornographic rumors?
Was it just casual talk, or was it intentional?
He immediately thought of Wang Cheng.
This kid has a criminal record; in his previous life, he won the title of outstanding class leader in the province by spreading rumors.
"Wang Peng, do you know who's spreading rumors?" Li Mengjiao asked in a low voice.
"I don't know," Wang Peng said. "Don't believe that kind of talk. I would never sell my body for a small business."
"From what you're saying, you'd sell your body for a big deal... Ouch!" Li Mengjiao covered her forehead. "You, you hit me?"
"You deserve a beating. How dare you make fun of me?" Wang Peng rubbed his hands together and laughed. "I've noticed you've gone astray. You're having fun being a little mischievous?"
"I'm ignoring you!" Li Mengjiao was very angry and quickly rode away on her bicycle.
Wang Peng smiled slightly and slowly returned home.
This morning, the county education bureau organized a meeting for high school homeroom teachers. Chen Qingshu attended the meeting but hasn't returned yet, so he has to cook for himself.
There were noodles and eggs in the kitchen, so Wang Peng made egg noodles.
Think as you do.
"If the principal hears the rumors, how will he handle the situation?"
"If I were her, how would I handle it?"
After much thought, I came up with two ways to handle this.
They either laugh it off and don't care, comforting themselves with the idea that rumors stop with the wise, and simply ignore the matter.
Wang Peng shook his head. "If I were the principal, I would talk to Wang Peng and stop him from doing business. Then the rumors would stop."
Thinking of this, he sneered, confirming that the source of the rumor must be Wang Cheng.
After the egg noodles were cooked, he would sit in the kitchen to eat, then wash the pots and dishes before going to school.
The No. 1 Middle School teaching building.
Classroom of Class 8.
Wang Cheng was so frightened that he lost his mind.
He never expected that a few careless words he uttered in front of Zhou Xiayu, the student council president, would become a rumor throughout the school.
He couldn't bear the anger of either the principal or Wang Peng.
"Xiao Cheng, have you heard?" Zhang Qianqian whispered, "I heard that Wang Peng and Xu Wei are having an affair. That's really interesting."
Wang Cheng turned to look at her, only to see that her face was full of lewdness.
Just then, Du Lei walked into Class 8's classroom.
He walked straight up to Wang Cheng and said, "Wang Cheng, I have a small favor to ask you for. Could you come out for a bit?"
Wang Cheng's heart skipped a beat, and he asked with a smile, "Brother Lei, what's up?"
