The final exam was at eight in the morning, but Shen Anning didn't go there a day in advance. Before five in the morning on the 3rd, she rode her electric donkey along the path into the city. At half past five, she changed back to her bicycle for fear of being seen by others. It was not yet seven when she arrived in the county town.
She went directly to the county high school. The old man at the gate remembered her and knew she was there to take the exam. He enthusiastically showed her where to park.
Shen Zixi was placed in the space today. She told the villagers that she had placed the child with relatives in the county. Anyway, no one would verify the authenticity of the matter.
It was about 7:10 when I arrived at the first class classroom. The students were all reciting their lessons, and Shen Anning did not disturb them. I saw a row of empty desks at the back of the classroom and entered the room through the back door. Everyone was used to this, and Shen Anning was not an exception.
Geng Yue also saw Shen Anning, but she was sitting relatively close to the front, and the teacher was still standing on the podium, so she couldn’t just leave her seat like that.
At 7:30, the teacher left the classroom and Geng Yue came over. "An Ning, how are your preparations going?"
"Not bad. I've already attended high school in Beijing for half a year, so it wasn't difficult to pick up the knowledge again."
"That's good. Let's all work hard and do well in the exam."
"Okay, let's all work hard."
There weren't many students in a class. Shen Anning took a rough look and saw about thirty of them. The classroom was quite large. They could just drag the wooden tables and space out the students so that they could take the exam in their own class.
At 7:50, the teacher came in with the test papers. Seeing that the students were almost ready, he began to distribute the test papers. The first test was Chinese and Politics. Shen Anning glanced at it first. Almost all the content was from the textbook. He followed everyone's average speed and did not leave any blank spaces, but deliberately wrote a wrong question.
There were eighty minutes and a lot of questions, so there were still a few people in the classroom who hadn't finished.
At 9:30, we will take the exams for mathematics, physics and chemistry. There are two exam papers for three subjects, and the exam will take two and a half hours.
Shen Anning's physics and chemistry are her strong points. After getting the test paper, she still took a look at it first. The questions covered a wide range, so she took out the draft paper and started to do the questions.
Two and a half hours seemed long, but there were a lot of questions and the time was very tight. Shen Anning controlled her speed, and she heard sighs in the classroom more than once. So even if she could get all the questions right, she didn't do it. She tried to limit herself to two or three wrong questions in each subject.
The papers were handed in on time at 12:30, and several girls in the classroom were crying. It was really a blow to not do well in the first major exam after entering high school. Shen An Ning paid attention to Geng Yue. Judging from her appearance, she probably did okay.
Because they had to wait three days after the exam to get the transcript, they didn't have a holiday right away. Shen Anning asked Geng Yue to bring her transcript back then, so she didn't have to make another trip.
Geng Yue saw Shen Anning about to leave and hurriedly grabbed her.
“An Ning, come with me to the cafeteria to eat, and then go back after dinner.” Geng Yue pulled Shen An Ning and took out the lunch box from the desk.
"No, thank you, Yueyue. Zixi is still at her relative's house. I'll go there to eat and then take her home in the afternoon. If you have any luggage to take back, I can help you take it back."
Geng Yue's second uncle came over a few days ago and told her to leave the quilt directly at his house and ask her second aunt to help wash it. It would save her the trouble of carrying it back home. "No need, An Ning, my second uncle will come to help me when the time comes. So you go quickly and don't make Xixi wait anxiously."
"Okay, I'll go first then."
After saying goodbye to Geng Yue, Shen An Ning rode his bike to a very remote place. Counting it up, little Zi Xi had been in the space for more than ten hours. During the ten-minute break, he took the time to go in and feed her and change her diaper. Shen An Ning estimated that the little girl was going to be mad again.
As soon as I entered the space, I didn't rush to the bedroom. I went to the kitchen first and put the prepared meal on a tray, including tomato beef porridge, purple sweet potato egg pancakes, finger biscuits and half a bottle of milk powder.
In the bedroom, Shen Zixi was sitting on the bed playing with her fingers, muttering about her aunt, and when she smelled the fragrance of the meal, she looked at Shen Anning. At first, she turned her little face away from her, but she couldn’t help but stretched out her two hands for a hug.
"Oh, dear, baby, you are so great today. You played at home by yourself and didn't even cry, right?"
"Well, auntie, hello." The little guy pointed at his nose, not showing any shyness at all.
"Yes, the baby is so good. Auntie likes the baby very much."
"Come on, baby, are you hungry? Let's eat first." After eating half a bowl of porridge and a piece of cake, the little girl was still not satisfied and drank half a bottle of milk.
Pick up the little one and put him in the walker. He slept for too long this morning and now he urgently needs to run around and exercise.
Since Shen Zixi started learning to walk, all the furniture in the living room on the first floor except the sofa has been put away by Shen Anning and piled in the dining room. The living room is fenced off from other places, and the place is very empty.
After eating a casual egg fried rice, Shen Anning went out again. She had to go to the black market to exchange for a radio ticket, and she also had to go to the department store to buy a radio and batteries.
She knew the location of the black market before, but there were probably not many people at this time. When she got to the alley behind the hospital, Shen Anning saw the gatekeeper outside. She put on some makeup, put on a mask and walked over directly. She gave him fifty cents and said, "Brother, I want to ask you something. Do you have any radio tickets for sale?"
The gatekeeper said nothing, but pointed to a door and said, "Go in and find Brother Zhang. He's in charge of this area."
