Chapter 1241: Vulnerable

Looking at the dense jungle and the snakes hovering above the branches and spitting out their tongues, Lu Zhiye felt his scalp tingling.

He guessed that no one would come to this place again, at least after the treasures were sealed up.

From the swirling weeds and vines, one can vaguely see a former road.

Lu Zhiye took a deep breath, sprayed insect repellent all over his body, and with a sickle in his hand, he forced his way out of the weeds.

Along the way, he drank the spiritual spring water when he was thirsty, and found something to eat when he was hungry.

In this dense jungle, you can't eat anything with a strong smell.

The animals in the jungle have very sensitive noses, and if you are not careful you can attract a large number of animals.

The wolf king brought a few wolves and surrounded Lu Zhiye.

There were two wolves. After a fierce fight, there was almost no good meat left on their bodies.

Lu Zhiye sprinkled some spiritual spring water on them and sent the two wolves into the space.

He then casually fished out two more.

He took out a tin box from the space, filled it with some spiritual spring water, and placed it among the wolves.

Those wolves took a rare step back, leaving the position for the wolf king.

After the wolf king had drunk his fill, they slowly moved forward.

In this way, even though Lu Zhiye did not dare to stop for a moment, he walked for a whole day.

In the evening, Lu Zhiye looked at the watch on his hand and it was already past 5 o'clock in the afternoon.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead, checked the specific location, and finally came to a cave, where he put all the wolves into the space.

Lu Zhiye frowned as he looked at the cave as big as a mound in front of him, and for a moment he wondered if he had found the wrong place.

He took out a tinder, lit it and threw it into the cave.

I shone a flashlight and found that the fire did not go out after it went in, which seemed to indicate that there was sufficient oxygen inside.

Lu Zhiye took out a mask from the space, put it on his face, and walked into the cave carefully.

The stone walls of this cave are smooth and you can faintly hear the sound of flowing water.

There were some gnawed, dried bones on the table.

Lu Zhiye touched the stone platform with one hand, and then his heart rose to his throat.

There wasn't much dust where his hands touched.

It looks like someone has been to this place before.

It is not clear whether they are the descendants of these people or nearby hunters.

No matter which situation it is, it is not a good thing for Lu Zhiye.

He faced the risk that the treasure might have been exposed.

Lu Zhiye took a deep breath to calm himself down, then took a small wooden hammer and knocked on the wall.

To his surprise, there was no so-called mechanism on the entire wall.

Could it be that he really came to the wrong place?

Just as Lu Zhiye was thinking, he suddenly remembered something and hurriedly walked out of the cave.

There is a small slope on the right side of the cave. Anyone who sees it will think that this place is an extension of the cave, and it is covered with weeds.

Lu Zhiye picked up the sickle, cleaned it up, and found nothing unusual.

"Something's wrong, something's very wrong.

Could it be that the earthquake a few years ago caused the mountain crust to move?"

Lu Zhiye thought about it carefully and felt that there didn't seem to be a very big earthquake here.

Suddenly, he saw several stones buried at the bottom of the slope.

Lu Zhiye quickly squatted down and moved the stones away with great effort.

As soon as he moved two pieces away, Lu Zhiye discovered something unusual. He placed his hand in the gap and could actually feel a little wind.

This was too weird, so Lu Zhiye quickly picked up a shovel from the space and dug down with all his strength.

After digging for about ten minutes, a stone wall appeared before our eyes.

Lu Zhiye swallowed his saliva. This thing didn't look like a place to hide treasures, but rather like a cemetery?

God damn, I hope he didn't accidentally dig up someone's grave...

The stone wall was right in front of him, and Lu Zhiye was unwilling to give up without finding out what was going on!

He gritted his teeth, fumbled around the area, and finally managed to open the stone door.

Lu Zhiye moved his stiff body. He simply dug a passage on the slope that was wide enough for people to crawl through.

The basic appearance outside has not changed, so it's very uncomfortable to be stuck here.

Fortunately, when he was climbing into the passage, the space suddenly became larger as he approached the stone gate.

Lu Zhiye released the wolf king and signaled it to restore the outside to its original state.

Only a gap as wide as a palm was left. The little wolf king cleaned up everything and looked inside through the gap with a hum.

Lu Zhiye waved his hand, and it drilled into the space again.

This stone gate is neither big nor small, and can probably accommodate two people passing side by side.

Lu Zhiye found the mechanism, turned it a few times, and then flashed into the space.

The next second, several sharp arrows shot out from inside.

He moved his ears and could still hear a faint hissing sound.

It was exactly the same sound as the snake spitting out its tongue that he heard outside.

Lu Zhiye sighed and threw out a packet of insect repellent directly from the space.

The hissing sound became a little sharp and soon disappeared.

Lu Zhiye walked out of the space and walked inside carefully with a flashlight.

His whole body was tense and he looked around vigilantly.

As soon as I stepped into the stone gate, the scene inside changed drastically.

What came into view was a stone room with a few oil lamps hanging on the wall.

What shocked Lu Zhiye was that two of the six oil lamps were still lit...

The more it looked like a tomb, the more Lu Zhiye's heart began to pound.

Only after I fished out the little wolf king and kept him by my side did I feel a little more at ease.

Lu Zhiye took out the map left by Old Man Han from the space, then took out a candle, lit it, and shook it twice on the back of the map.

Some patterns and words appeared on the back of the originally blank map.

Lu Zhiye squinted his eyes and took a look in the light of the fire. If he was not mistaken, this should be the structural diagram of the stone chamber where they hid their treasure.

"Six oil lamps correspond to six stone chambers..."

Lu Zhiye read the small words on it, and then he was sure that he had found the correct location.

After going through untold hardships, he finally opened the first stone chamber.

What surprised Lu Zhiye was that he originally thought it was just a narrow secret room with some things sealed inside.

I didn't expect that after opening the door of the stone chamber, there would be another space.

After walking nearly a kilometer inside, we finally reached our real destination.

Time was tight and the task was heavy. Lu Zhiye didn't even look at it. He waved his hand and directly threw everything he could see about the current affairs into the space.

As the stone chambers were opened one by one, Lu Zhiye now understood that these six stone chambers should correspond to six families.

Because the layout of each stone chamber is different, there are emblems of different families on it.

Lu Zhiye couldn't help but sigh, how could someone who could spend so much money to build such a treasure room be an unknown person?

It’s a pity that such a family is vulnerable to the tide of history.
