Chapter 7 I'm getting married!

The cave was dug out of the mountain. It only had a door and a slightly translucent window from the outside. Although it was spacious inside, it only contained a bed, a chair and a cabinet.

Gently and coldly, Liang Zhiqing is really pitiful...

He originally lived in a youth educated camp. Wei Zhazha wanted him to be his bootlicker, but he was unwilling, so he was deliberately made things difficult for by a group of youth educated by Wei Zhazha.

When Liang Zhiqing first went to a road that the villagers were not familiar with, he gave the wrong directions, which delayed his earning of work points. The villagers mistakenly thought that he was lazy and could not get out of bed, so when he was getting his meal in the canteen, they deliberately bumped into him just as he picked up his bowl of rice, causing him to drop his bowl, which hit a villager who was getting his meal that day.

Wei Yaonan spread the rumor that Liang Jiaming was the reincarnation of a disaster star, and the villagers really believed it. They avoided him and united to tell the Youth League Office, and sent him to live in a cave.

Although the educated youth's residence was also made of mud houses, it was much more equipped with daily necessities than the cave dwellings.

Later, Liang Jiaming worked hard in the assigned job and completed it with all his heart every day. While completing his own tasks, he also helped the villagers. Gradually, except for Wei Zhazha and his gang, everyone else changed their views on them.

The Youth League Office told him to return to the Youth League site to live. Liang Jiaming did not want to see Wei Yaonan and his gang, so he used the excuse that he was used to living in the cave and stayed there.

Chang Sujun finished her recollection, she sighed, held Liang Jiaming's hand, and comforted him: "It is said that hard work brings wealth, and our future life will be created by the two of us together. Although you are poor now, but with me in the future, our lives will become better and better!"

Liang Jiaming looked down at her hand holding his, then looked up at her and nodded blankly.

What's going on...she's talking so strangely?

He looks very old-fashioned.

The tone of her speech is like that of an old lady.

Seeing how well behaved he was, Chang Sujun nodded with satisfaction.

The man she had her eyes on in her previous life was Wei Zhazha. Whenever it came to housework, he would just say that she was tired, but he would never do anything. Every day after get off work, he would sit on the sofa with his legs crossed and watch the news.

Although Liang Zhiqing said that he would share the housework, what if he is just a hypocrite like Wei Zhazha who only talks but is righteous all the time?

Chang Sujun thought of this, walked to the bed and skillfully folded up his bed, rolled up the quilt into the bed, and rolled it into a tall and big circle. She held it up and said to Liang Jiaming with a silly smile: "The cave is warm in winter and cool in summer, so you have to dry the quilt frequently, otherwise it will be bad for your health if it is damp for a long time."

She picked up the quilt, her eyes met the quilt, and walked unsteadily, muttering as she walked: "Before I went to the countryside, my mother always told me that as a wife I must be virtuous, take good care of my husband's food, clothing, shelter and transportation, and wash and put away all the pots and pans in the house."

"It's just drying the quilt now, I'll take care of you from now on!"

In her previous life, she was proud of being virtuous. Just after she got married, she said the same thing when she was helping Wei Yaozha make the bed. Wei Yaonan praised her and said she was a virtuous daughter-in-law.

After praising her, he went out to drink with his friends, and she cleaned the house happily under his praise.

Once, because she was at home full-time, she spent a few more dollars on a piece of candy cake, and Wei Zhazha asked her, "What else can you do besides eating it?"

She retorted: "I take care of the house for you, is it too much to have a piece of candy cake?"

He sneered, "Cleaning the house? Anyone with hands and feet can do it. Why are you so proud? You did the housework voluntarily. You did it voluntarily and you still want me to compensate you. That's your problem."

Liang Jiaming immediately stood in front of her. He took the quilt from Chang Sujun's hand, and touched her head with his hand, coaxing her: "I don't know about others, but I won't let my wife suffer. When you work hard for the family, I stand by and watch."

A sour feeling surged into Chang Sujun's chest, and he asked, "If I can't do housework, will you still marry me?"

"I married you not because you can do housework, but because the person I am with is you, and you are enough."

When Chang Sujun heard Liang Jiaming say that this person was important, her heartbeat suddenly quickened and she could not hear anything.

The figure of Liang Jiaming in front of her enlarged. He picked up the quilt and turned to walk out the door. His tall and strong back shielded her completely behind him.

She thought, maybe if she married him, she wouldn't meet a good person, but it would be nice to live with him for the rest of her life without getting divorced.

Chang Sujun shook her head and murmured, "I only married him to get rid of Wei Zhazha's entanglement. Don't think too much. When the educated youth returns to the city, I will divorce him!"

Chang Sujun picked up the broom to sweep the floor. Liang Jiaming saw it and snatched it from his hand, saying, "You are so tired from working every day. Now you can take a break. You should rest more and don't get tired. I am a man and I am stronger than you. I can work faster."

Chang Sujun replied: "Okay then..."

It was her first time to be taken seriously. She really didn’t feel used to it.

Chang Sujun watched him work, and out of boredom he touched the wall on the left, then the wall on the right, then picked up a rag and began to wipe the candle wax that had dripped from the candles on the ground.

She had just rubbed the rag on the ground a few times, and Liang Jiaming took the rag from her hand. She looked up in confusion: "What are you doing???"

She couldn't work without something in her hands. She finally felt a little relieved, but why did he suddenly appear again?

Can't you let her find something to do?!

"Here, this is the water I just poured. Once you finish drinking it, I'll make a blanket for you to sleep on. We'll go to work together in the afternoon."
