Chapter 4 It Turned Out to be a Premeditated Murder
The Tang family didn't know that Xia Jinhua had given birth to a child.
After Tang Xueli settled everything at the hospital, she planned to go home.
When she was almost at the door of her house, she saw her scumbag father and Bai Lianxin sneaking into the alley next to her, so she followed them quietly.
As the sun sets, the sky is filled with sunset glow, which is as poetic as a painting.
The main street was very busy, with people taking a walk after get off work, the sound of bicycle bells, and occasionally the sound of popcorn popping.
But the deserted alley was especially quiet.
"Is your wife about to give birth?" Bai Lianxin asked straight to the point.
Tang Jincai nodded, "Yes, at the end of the month."
"I heard that Grandma Sun's son gave her a big grandson, and she is going back to the countryside to take care of the child."
Bai Lianxin spoke very quickly, obviously not wanting to stay here for long.
After all, it's an affair, it would be bad if someone found out.
"My sister is a nurse at the clinic. She will come and stay with me for a few days. Can I ask her to deliver your wife's baby then?"
Tang Jincai didn't respond to this question and asked her, "Do you have a sister?"
"She's my distant cousin." Bai Lianxin paused, "If it's a son, it's fine, but if it's a daughter..."
Tang Jincai raised his head suddenly, "What do you mean?"
Bai Lianxin squeezed Tang Jincai's palm and said, "You still want a girl to pay you back?"
“……”Tang Jincai naturally didn’t want a maid.
This baby must be a son no matter what.
Bai Lianxin hugged Tang Jincai's arm tightly and said, "If it's really a girl, let my sister kill her directly. No one will know about it, so as to save trouble in the future."
Tang Jincai was silent for a long while before he spoke, "If it's a girl, there's no point in keeping her. Let your sister handle it. Do it cleanly and don't leave any evidence."
Bai Lianxin was delighted and said in surprise, "Old Tang, you are awesome. You look like you can do great things."
Tang Jincai intuitively felt that this time it was most likely a son, so Bai Lianxin's sister shouldn't need to do anything.
If unfortunately it is really a girl, then... it's better for them to die, so that I can marry Bai Lianxin with a legitimate reason.
Tang Xueli's hands and feet turned cold after hearing this.
Could it be that my mother’s previous life didn’t just suffer from difficult childbirth?
It turned out to be a premeditated murder!
Tang Xueli walked outside for a long time before she calmed down a little.
When I got home, everyone in the family was there.
She called everyone together and said, "I have something to tell you—"
Tang Jinhong interrupted her without further ado, "Xueli, uncle knows that you and your mother are very tired in the hospital, so just bear with it for a few days! Your grandma will be discharged from the hospital soon, and I will take you to a restaurant then, and we can eat some good food to replenish our body."
Tang Limei pretended to hold a workbook, put on a bitter face, and whined, "Xueli, I envy you so much. You don't have to study anymore. I'm exhausted after doing exercises all day."
"It's so easy to get into college. How can you get good grades without working hard?"
Tang Jinhong ruffled his daughter's hair, and his words were both comforting and boastful. "When you get into college next year, everyone will envy you."
Tang Xueli stared at the exercise book in Tang Limei's hand and fell into deep thought.
Some long-cherished dreams quietly sprouted at this moment.
Seeing Tang Xueli's dazed expression, Tang Jincai felt that he was a useless girl, silly, and couldn't do anything right. Every word he spoke was full of disgust and accusations.
"You said your head is just for show?"
"Can't you learn from your cousin and say something nice to please your grandma?"
"Can't you even coax an old lady?"
Tang Xueli looked at her scumbag father calmly and said leisurely, "My mother gave birth."
"Your mother is not feeling well right now, can't you do more work to help her share some of the burden——"
Tang Jincai stopped talking halfway through his words.
"What did you say?"
Tang Xueli repeated, "My mother gave birth."
"Is it born?" Tang Jincai asked nervously, "Is it a son or a girl?"
Tang Xueli curled her lips and smiled, "I have a younger sister."
Tang Jincai suddenly felt like he was struck by lightning.
Tang Shuangshuang had not dared to speak, but at this moment she could not help but ask, "Where's Mom? How is she?"
Tang Xueli hugged her second sister's shoulders and said softly, "Mom is fine."
Tang Jincai: “…” His and Bai Lianxin’s plan was shattered in the blink of an eye.
Damn, another unlucky girl!
He must have done something wrong in his previous life!
At the hospital, Old Mrs. Tang had just finished dinner.
The ward was filled with the aroma of food.
"You cook this dish really well. Your cooking is much better than that of my two daughters-in-law." The old lady was quite satisfied with this capable caregiver.
The caregiver Tang Xueli found was called Aunt Cotton by everyone, because she was a cotton fluffer.
She likes taking care of people and is keen on making money, so she often goes to the hospital to help take care of patients and earn some extra money.
"It's delicious. I'll make it for you every day. I live next to the hospital, so I can make it and bring it to you while you're sleeping."
Aunt Cotton asked the old lady, "What would you like to eat tomorrow?"
Mrs. Tang said without thinking: "Dumplings, big ones with meat filling."
"Haha, okay, it just takes a little more time."
Aunt Mianhua wrung out a warm towel and used it to wipe the old lady's hands and face.
Old Mrs. Tang was very comfortable being served, but she became very angry when she thought of the unfilial sons in her family.
The dissatisfaction was written all over her face. Aunt Mianhua could see it and chatted with her, "How nice is your second daughter-in-law. She still wants to serve you even when her belly is so big."
Old Madam Tang curled her lips, "What's so good about that? You said you would serve me, but where is he? He ran back home to hide away."
Aunt Mianhua shook her head and said, "I didn't go home. Your daughter-in-law had a stomachache and gave birth early!"
"Give birth? What's the baby?"
"My girl, little princess!"
"Tsk tsk, I knew it was a girl. It would be strange if that unlucky daughter-in-law gave birth to a son!"
"My daughter is the best. She is a sweet and caring girl who knows how to care for others."
Aunt Mianhua sat down beside the bed and massaged the old lady's legs while saying, "Didn't your two sons neglect you during your hospitalization? It looked like you had never been here. Your little granddaughter felt sorry for you and rushed to find me, telling me to take good care of you."
"Xue Li asked you to come?" Old Mrs. Tang thought that her son was too busy at work, so he hired someone for her.
"Yes, I was at home making cotton balls and said I was busy these few days. She begged me for a long time."
Aunt Mianhua was not exaggerating. Tang Xueli had indeed begged her for a long time and told her about the family situation.
A grandma who favors boys over girls, a mother who is about to give birth at an advanced age, an irresponsible and cruel father...
"Where does she get the money to hire you?" This was the first question that came to Mrs. Tang's mind.
Aunt Cotton said, "It should be the money your little granddaughter saved when she went to the countryside. The money she gave me was only one or two cents, wrinkled change."
Old Mrs. Tang was suspicious: "..."
It doesn't sound like something Xue Li would do!
Of course, Tang Xueli is not so saintly. If she really saves money, she will only give it to her mother and sisters.
As for the money to hire Aunt Mianhua, she got it from secretly selling the high-end watch that Bai Lianxin gave to her scumbag father.
The watch was nice and we sold it for a lot of money, enough to hire a caregiver and pay for my mother's hospitalization and treatment expenses.
On Sunday, both Mrs. Tang and Xia Jinhua were discharged from the hospital.
Tang Jincai thought about it for a few days and made a decision: "I want to give this child away."
