Chapter 77 Old Man, Time Bomb
It was the Qingming Festival holiday. Tang Limei woke up in the morning and sat on the bed. She suddenly missed her grandma very much.
It had been almost a month since Mrs. Tang passed away, and she began to miss the kindness her grandmother had shown her.
"Dad, aren't we going to visit the graves today?"
Tang Jinhong frowned, "What grave are you sweeping?"
Tang Limei blinked: "Sweeping grandma's grave..."
Tang Jinhong said impatiently: "Where is your grandma's grave?"
"Why doesn't grandma have a grave?" Tang Limei said, "My classmates all went to visit graves. Isn't it the custom to visit graves on Qingming Festival? Why don't we ever visit graves?"
"Your grandmother didn't have a grave, so she was cremated." Tang Jinhong explained: "Cremation is now advocated to save land resources and protect the environment. In the future, everyone will cremate."
Tang Limei thought for a moment and asked, "If it's burned, then there will be nothing left, right?"
"There are ashes." Tang Jinhong replied casually.
Tang Limei asked: "What about grandma's ashes?"
"..." Tang Jinhong turned his head to look at his daughter, was silent for a few seconds, and replied: "It spilled into the river."
I can't tell my daughter that my grandfather poured his ashes into the urinal.
"Oh..." Tang Limei looked downcast. She glanced at her father's face and said aggrievedly, "Dad, I miss my mom. Where is she? Why hasn't she come back yet?"
Tang Jinhong's face turned very ugly. "Have you finished your homework? Cook for yourself when you are hungry. Don't buy random things outside. I won't give you pocket money this month. We have vegetables, rice and noodles at home. It's not difficult to cook something. Save your money."
Tang Limei whispered: "I don't know how to cook..."
"You're a grown-up, what can you do?" Tang Jinhong poked his daughter's head vigorously. "Shuangshuang and Xueli are both good at cooking. Are you missing an arm or a leg? How come you can't do anything?"
Tang Limei lowered her head, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Cry, cry, cry, you useless thing, all you do is cry." Tang Jinhong was so angry that he sat at the end of the bed and smoked.
When I was smoking the third cigarette, I heard a banging sound coming from the next room.
In order to please her father, Tang Limei held back her tears and changed the subject, "Dad, Grandpa has been acting a little strange lately. I saw him raise his legs very high when he was sleeping, and then slam them on the bed."
Tang Jinhong was stunned for a moment, then said: "The old man is old, and his muscles may not be well controlled."
Tang Limei asked: "Do we need to go to the hospital?"
"No need." Tang Jinhong said without thinking: "It can't be cured even if you go to the hospital."
The noise next door was getting louder and louder, and Tang Jinhong had to go take a look.
Mr. Tang was banging his head against the wardrobe, and blood was oozing from his forehead.
Tang Jinhong forced the man onto the bed and put a piece of medical tape on his old father's head.
The old man looked at his son with cloudy eyes for a while, gradually regained consciousness, and stood up to play with the bird.
Tang Jinhong sighed lightly and returned to his room.
"Dad, can I go play with my brothers? I miss my big and second brothers."
Tang Limei has been feeling inexplicably anxious lately and she doesn't know why.
After my two elder brothers got married, they rarely came to the slum.
I didn't come back to visit during the Chinese New Year this year. I just called the factory and simply wished Tang Jinhong a happy new year, saying that I was very busy and would not be going home.
Tang Limei couldn't remember how long it had been since she last saw her brothers.
"You just think about playing all day long. How can your elder brother and second brother have time to play with you!" Tang Jinhong turned around and walked out.
Tang Limei didn't want to stay at home with her mentally ill grandfather, so she dressed up and went out to play.
Old Master Tang ran to the yard and wandered around, mumbling to himself.
He saw someone in the kitchen, so he walked over and stared at the person, "Who are you?"
Tang Xueli turned off the fire, looked at the old man, and said calmly, "Neighbor."
"No, not my neighbor." Mr. Tang kept shaking his head. "You are here to kill me. You are a ghost. You are not a good person."
Tang Xueli walked a few steps away and put some distance between herself and the old man.
Mr. Tang seemed to be stimulated by something and suddenly became excited. He stretched out his hand towards Tang Xueli and rushed over, "I'm going to strangle you to death!"
Tang Xueli pushed Mr. Tang's arm, stepped aside, quickly returned to the east room and locked the door.
Xia Jinhua and Tang Shuangshuang are both at home.
They all looked over there.
Tang Shuangshuang asked: "What's wrong?"
"Grandpa has mental problems. Stay away from him and don't talk to him." Tang Xueli observed the situation in the yard through the window.
Tang Shuangshuang came over to watch, "What happened to Grandpa? What did he say?"
"I don't know what he's talking about." Tang Xueli said in a deep voice: "Just now he wanted to come over and strangle me, and he even said he wanted to strangle me to death."
"Oh my god!" Tang Shuangshuang took a breath, "Xue Li, are you hurt anywhere?"
"No, I dodged quickly and he didn't touch me."
Tang Xueli was very worried that the old man would attack her mother and sister.
When a mentally ill person goes crazy, he can become extremely powerful and cause great harm.
"Is Grandpa crazy?" Tang Shuangshuang was also worried.
No one knows why Mr. Tang suddenly became crazy.
Everyone in the compound avoided it and dared not stay in the yard for long.
Tang Xueli originally planned to clean up the house where Bai Lianxin had previously lived and move in herself when the weather got warmer.
She goes to bed late after reading books and newspapers, and gets up early to go jogging, which easily affects the rest of her mother and sister who live in the same room.
But now that her grandfather had become a time bomb, she had to change her plans temporarily.

Jia Zhenzhen went to the design institute's staff building every day. Zhao Hongye couldn't stand it anymore, so she packed up her things and sneaked away.
No one knew where she went. She simply disappeared without a trace.
Jia Zhenzhen was happy for only two days when Tang Jinhong came and beat her up without saying a word and took her back home.
"Tang Jinhong, aren't you afraid that I will go to the factory and make trouble?" Jia Zhenzhen roared.
"What good will it do you? If I lose my job, you won't lose yours?" Tang Jinhong said coldly, "We both have no jobs, who will support Limei? Limei is about to take the college entrance examination. As a mother, are you so impatient to destroy this family?"
"I destroyed this family?" Jia Zhenzhen looked incredulous.
Tang Jinhong rubbed his brows and said, "Be quiet and cook well for the children. We can talk about other things after Li Mei finishes the college entrance examination."
Jia Zhenzhen still said the same thing: "I want a divorce."
As soon as he finished speaking, a slap came over.
"I'm putting this here. If I don't agree, you won't get a divorce. If you're not afraid of being embarrassed, or of Li Mei not being able to hold her head up high in public, then make a scene, as much as you can!"
Tang Jinhong tightly grasped Jia Zhenzhen's wrist, "If you dare to run, your daughter will become a motherless child. If you leave, I can openly find a stepmother for Li Mei. I am different from my brother. I have the ability and can stand firmer in the factory than him. I will not be fired. By then, only you will become a shrew, a lunatic, an abandoned woman who is unwanted by everyone, a cruel mother who abandons her daughter, and a sinner condemned by thousands of people."
Jia Zhenzhen felt a wave of panic. She stared at her purple wrist and felt an indescribable despair.
When I came to my senses, I found that Tang Jinhong had already left the house without me noticing.
Tang Limei returned home and was overjoyed to see her mother. She ran over to hug her and said excitedly, "Mom, you're finally back. Where have you been? You didn't even call me. I missed you so much. Did you go on a business trip to the south? It's really far, isn't it? I heard it takes several days to take a train to the south!"
Jia Zhenzhen looked at her daughter and silently shed tears.
