Chapter 11 Can the Alchemy Furnace Be Sold? (1/2)

Xiao Xi rushed over, but the furnace was too high, so she could only stand on tiptoe and gaze longingly at it.

The antique brass alchemy furnace seemed to communicate with Xiaoxi, emitting a warm and natural luster.

It's pretty much the same as the basic model described in the master's book. This is the small size, a bit bigger than the casserole I had this morning.

Du Xin saw Xiao Xi's eyes sparkling with: I want it! I want this stove!

Du Xin: I can't say anything good about Xiaoxi's taste. I can't even tell what it is. She came all this way just to buy this thing.

"Oh, this? Our curator put this here a long time ago, saying it was for warding off bad luck. Actually, we can't even tell what it is. It's pitch black. Is it a stove?"

Daqiang scratched his head, puzzled.

Xiaoxi: Brother Daqiang has no taste! Where is it dark? This is a treasure!

Just then, the curator returned from outside and saw three people surrounding his alchemy furnace: were they plotting something while he was away?

"What are you doing? Zhou Daqiang, didn't I say we don't take customers at this time?"

The curator was dressed in a Tang suit, probably in his sixties. Although his hair was gray, he was physically robust and had bright eyes.

He was extremely unhappy at that moment.

Who are you?

Du Xin hurriedly took out his business card and presented it with both hands.

"Sir, we are from the Ye Group. This is Mr. Ye's sister, and I am Mr. Ye's assistant."

The curator grunted a sound through his nose.

“My surname is Wu, and I own this martial arts gym.”

The green light emanating from the eyes of the two people, one big and one small, as they examined the treasured item, gave Wu Changquan a sense of urgency, as if his valuable possessions were being coveted.

However, he managed to maintain basic politeness, inviting Xiaoxi and Du Xin to sit down in the hall, and Zhou Daqiang quickly served tea.

"Speak, what brings you two here? Is it a young lady who wants to learn martial arts?"

Du Xin suppressed his embarrassment.

"Mr. Wu, would you be so kind as to part with your prized possession and sell it to our Miss Xiaoxi?"

"What?!"

Wu Changquan stood up immediately, and I knew you had no good intentions!

Du Xin decided to act quickly.

"Mr. Wu, I know it's really asking you to part with this, but on behalf of the Ye Group, I sincerely want to sell. Please name your price!"

"Not for sale, not for any price!"

"Even if that brat Ye Yichen came, I wouldn't sell!"

"I'm telling you right now, don't think that just because you're from the Ye family you can bully others! Don't think you can use your money to smear me!"

"Do I look like someone who's short of money? I can open such a big martial arts school and use such a large plot of land for landscaping. Do I look like someone who's short of money?"

Wu Changquan's face turned as black as the bottom of a pot, and he no longer maintained basic manners.

I might as well break off all ties to avoid being harassed indefinitely.

"Zhou Daqiang, aren't you going to see our guest out? Next time, remember to close the gate properly and don't let those stray cats and dogs sneak in." These young ladies from wealthy families are so annoying, so arrogant and spoiled!

Du Xin realized he had killed the conversation and was quickly thinking of a solution to make amends.

Xiao Xi stood up, tugged at the hem of Wu Changquan's Tang suit, and looked up at him with innocent, wide eyes.

"Grandpa Wu, please don't be angry. We are not stray cats or dogs. We are Daqiang's friends."

"We just happened to come to your martial arts school and saw your alchemy furnace. Grandpa, can't you really sell it to me?"

Their innocent eyes and soft voice softened Wu Changquan's heart, but remembering their impure motives, he hardened up again.

"Hmph, don't go around claiming someone as your grandfather!"

"What? You're saying this is an alchemy furnace?"

A glint of light flashed in Wu Changquan's eyes; he was utterly shocked.

Xiaoxi found it strange that he asked that question.

"I don't know why Grandpa used an alchemy furnace to suppress feng shui, but it really is an alchemy furnace!"
