Chapter 196 I hope you won't regret it, and don't come begging me (1/2)

"Take me to see the deputy mayor!" Xiaoxi roared.

This Vice Mayor Kang is incredibly audacious. Also, there's definitely something wrong with that box of New Year pictures.

Otherwise, why would taking just one box not be enough, and why would you need to move an entire box?

The secretary struggled to his feet and walked back to the building, looking utterly dejected. He didn't even have the courage to knock on the deputy mayor's door, and could only weakly point to the office door.

Xiaoxi pushed the door open and entered.

If there's nothing else going on in the afternoon, Vice Mayor Kang will take a nap in his armchair.

He suddenly snapped out of it, furious. "Who are you? Don't you have any basic manners? Which school do you go to?"

Xiaoxi felt like she was witnessing the biggest joke: some people are about to lose their positions, yet they remain so arrogant.

"Vice Mayor, let me ask you this: you were ordered by your superiors to handle the aftermath of Yao Tai's case, and this is how you did it? Did you take Yao Tai's suitcase home?"

Vice Mayor Kang was shocked. Who was this little girl? Could she be the head of the secret department who had come to see him a few days ago?

Where did she get the information? How did she know I took a box of New Year pictures?

Vice Mayor Kang calmed down, his face showing arrogance.

"Are you trying to teach me how to do things? Young lady, are you the head of some department? Haha, I'm afraid this isn't your business!"

Xiaoxi knew that the well-educated and reasonable deputy mayor would have such an attitude.

She took a few steps forward.

Vice Mayor Kang suddenly felt a sense of fear. "What are you going to do?" he asked, his voice filled with murderous intent.

"Vice Mayor Kang is in big trouble! Your forehead is dark, and there's something wrong with your career palace!"

Before Xiaoxi could finish speaking, Vice Mayor Kang was already trembling with anger. His eldest son, Kang Cheng, had said yesterday that everything was going smoothly for him, and that he would help him oust the mayor and let him take the position.

He now inexplicably believes his eldest son can make this a reality, and this little girl is spouting nonsense.

The little girl's next words made him even angrier: "You'd better hand over that box of paintings, or your son will be dead."

"Young lady, are you threatening me? Get out of here right now! I don't care what minister you are! Your actions constitute a crime!"

Xiaoxi suddenly didn't want to waste any more time here. Instead of asking him, she thought she should go find the person in charge, his son Kang Cheng.

"Vice Mayor, I hope you won't regret this, and please don't come begging me!"

Xiaoxi glanced at him with pity, then turned and left.

Deputy Mayor Kang was so angry that he smashed his favorite teacup to pieces.

When Xiaoxi came out of the government building, she checked her watch and it was only four o'clock in the afternoon.

She went to Shen University, but couldn't find Kang Cheng anywhere.

Luckily, a kind older brother who was in the same department as Kang Cheng took Xiao Xi to Kang Cheng's classroom.

There weren't many people in the classroom. Xiaoxi asked for Kang Cheng's desk and sat down.

The group of people were already curious about where the little girl came from, and then they saw her sit down and take out a book from under Kang Cheng's table.

Then she took out a small turtle shell and covered the book with it.

This was very strange, and several people immediately gathered around.

Kang Cheng's table suddenly trembled violently, and with a "crack," the little turtle's shell broke. The little girl carefully put the turtle shell away, feeling sorry for it.

"Brothers and sisters, this classroom is no longer safe to stay in; the demonic energy is too strong! You'd better not come in for the next month."

What? Why is this girl wandering around like that?

They saw that the little girl suddenly produced another instrument, which looked like a miniature version of an ancient astronomical instrument.

Suddenly the entire classroom went dark, and they felt as if they were in a vast starry sky.

One part of the starry sky emitted an eerie red glow.

"Oh no, something terrible is about to happen!" the little girl exclaimed.
