Chapter 226 The Strange Man in the Laboratory (2/2)

She followed the noisy sounds.

It turned out to be a foreign song coming from a floor-to-ceiling glass window; the music was very intense.

Through the glass window, you can see various shelves inside, filled with bottles and jars; it's clearly a laboratory.

Xiaoxi pushed open the door and went in, and saw it more clearly: many large, upright glass containers were filled with corpses.

Smaller bottles also contain various organs.

Xiaoxi's first thought was that she had entered the killer's laboratory, but she saw a tall figure sitting there humming a song, swaying back and forth to the rhythm, and writing something on the control panel.

Xiaoxi's spiritual power had recovered somewhat by this time. Although she could not see whether this person had any merit light, she could not sense any malevolent aura about him.

She quietly walked over and saw that the person had messy hair and was chewing on a long baguette, completely unaware that someone had entered the laboratory.

Xiaoxi watched as the person wrote some kind of equation, and after looking at it for a while, she realized it was related to medicine.

Suddenly, the strange man took a big bite out of the baguette.

He went berserk. "This shouldn't be happening! The proportions are wrong! People will die if this continues!"

“Silicon-calcium-uranium is too toxic. Why not use the juice of the mild plant Viola yedoensis instead?” Xiaoxi gently reminded her.

Strange man: "Viola yedoensis? What do you mean?"

Xiaoxi: "Because Viola yedoensis clears heat and detoxifies, cools the blood and reduces swelling, and has no toxicity!"

The strange man suddenly realized something was wrong and jumped up, exclaiming, "Holy crap!"

The baguette he was chewing on fell to the ground and bounced a few times.

"Who are you? How did you get in?" he asked, his beard bristling and eyes wide.

But it seemed that discussing the medicine was more important, and he even paused his favorite music.

"You know nothing, don't talk nonsense!" His tone was full of the air of an authority figure.

Xiaoxi shrugged. "I just saw you thinking about this so intently, Uncle, and it was too painful for you, so I gave you a little pointer!"

Talk is cheap; actions speak louder than words.

Xiaoxi directly took out the Chinese medicinal herb Viola yedoensis.

"you?!"

The strange man stared wide-eyed, wanting to point at Xiaoxi with his finger, but then seemed to think it would be impolite and forcibly withdrew his finger.

"You know magic? You're a magician?"

“I’m a doctor!” Xiaoxi replied.

The strange man paused for half a second, then burst out, "Hahahaha!"

His laughter shook the entire laboratory, making the glass seem to tremble.

Xiaoxi didn't find anything funny.

But the moment Xiaoxi saw him, she knew he was a weirdo.

Let's wait and see if he laughs a little longer.

But the current situation suddenly made Xiaoxi unable to wait any longer.

Kang Cheng's Soul Gathering Pearl suddenly floated out; the pearl was dull in color and its interior was very unstable.

Xiaoxi knew that if she didn't find a body soon, the Soul Gathering Pearl would dissipate.

She had solemnly promised Scholar Kang that she would save Kang Cheng, yet she turned him into a dog. What a humiliation that was!

They agreed that once Kang Cheng's soul was nurtured, it would find a body, but now the soul that Kang Cheng had painstakingly nurtured was about to dissipate.

"Uncle, uncle, stop laughing. Do you have any fresh corpses here?"

The strange man suppressed a laugh.

He suddenly said with a hint of sadness, "Yes! My assistant was electrocuted yesterday."

Then the strange man looked mischievous again.

"Aren't you a doctor? Then save my assistant's life!"
