Chapter 154 A Little Chatter About Everyday Life (1/2)

Despite her excitement, Gu Min still remembered to pick up her son from kindergarten.

Fortunately, the kindergarten is not too far from the community.

The three of them walked back to their residential compound.

I saw Xiao's mother chatting with a group of aunties and grandmas.

Xiao's mother: "What's so strange about your daughter-in-law? My daughter-in-law is a slut. My eldest son has only been gone for half a year, and she couldn't hold on to her husband. She's hooking up with some other man."

"Oh? Really?"

The aunties and grandmothers' eyes lit up; the melon smelled so good that they didn't even want to leave to go home and cook.

Xiaoxi could hear Xiao's mother's loud voice as soon as she entered the community.

"Mom! How could you say that to me? Do you even consider me family?"

Gu Min was furious. Her mother-in-law not only slandered her, but also did it in public. How could she and her son face anyone?

"What? You're hypocritical, and you can't even say anything? I'm going to say it, I'm going to let the whole world know you're a whore."

"That's too much! I've put up with you for so long!"

Gu Min was trembling with anger and finally couldn't hold back any longer and exploded.

"Mom, did you clean up your own mess? You're blaming me, but do you think you and Old Wang from across the street can have a clear-cut story?"

At this moment, not only the aunties and grandmothers were in an uproar, but even Xiaoxi got excited.

"You bastard, if you dare to talk nonsense, I'll tear your mouth off!" Xiao's mother pounced on him.

Gu Min, who had taken the medicine, was exceptionally agile and immediately dodged.

"I went to Old Wang's house to look at antiques, and you, you whore, started gossiping about me?"

"Xiao Jun's comrade took Chaochao to the hospital, why are you still talking nonsense?"

Gu Min suddenly shouted to everyone, "Listen up, ladies! My son is sick with a fever, and my mother-in-law doesn't care at all. She's so heartless!"

People were talking about it, wondering if it was true or not. It seems like both mother-in-law and daughter-in-law are right when they argue.

Xiaoxi had a sudden inspiration.

"Aunt Min, you hold on, I'll go get the certificate! Don't worry, I'll leave Chaochao with the property management for now!"

She knew a fight was about to break out, and what followed was inappropriate for children.

After settling Chaochao in, Xiaoxi immediately climbed the stairs—yes, she climbed outside the building, not down the stairs.

She quickly climbed onto the balcony opposite Gu Min's house.

She had just heard Xiao's mother say that Old Wang across the street had antiques. It's good to have antiques, especially old ones, which are often quite valuable.

Sure enough, on the antique shelf in Old Wang's living room, we found some exquisite porcelain plates and earthenware jars.

Xiaoxi immediately took the white jade bracelet and placed it close to the porcelain plate and earthenware pot.

Those magnetic disks and earthenware jars, having never seen any magical artifacts before, immediately handed over all the information they should and shouldn't know.

The white jade bracelet understands its owner's current mood, discarding the useless and keeping the useful image, which is then processed for clarity.

Xiaoxi finished this task in less than ten minutes.

Mr. and Mrs. Wang were coming out of the kitchen when they were startled to see a little girl in the living room.

Xiao Xi ignored Lao Wang and said to his wife, "Auntie, there's a good show downstairs, come and see! You'll regret it if you don't."

Then, as if no one else was around, he went out and banged on Gu Min's door.

"Something terrible has happened! A fight has broken out downstairs!"

Then, Xiao Xi calmly went downstairs amidst the astonished gazes of Xiao Jun's younger brother, Xiao Cheng, and his wife.

Both doors were open. They looked at each other, then decided to go downstairs to see what was going on.

Downstairs, Xiao's mother was cursing loudly, spittle flying everywhere. Since she couldn't hit Gu Min, she resorted to scathing, motherly insults.

The security guards in the community came and intervened symbolically a couple of times; they had no right to interfere in other people's family affairs.

By then, night had fallen, and it was time for every household to have dinner.

Many people believe that the battle between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law is more enjoyable than food, and some even bring their bowls out to eat while watching.

Xiao Cheng and his wife, seeing that their mother hadn't gotten anywhere, also joined in.

Xiao Xi darted in front of Gu Min and whispered, "Aunt Min, we can use Old Wang as an example now. We've got the evidence!"

Seeing that Xiaoxi had returned, Gu Min felt even more reassured.
