Chapter 3 Foolish Little Kid

Da Ya ate very quickly, probably because she was worried that Li Chang'an would be unhappy if he waited too long.

It could also be because they were afraid he would go hungry.

After finishing his meal, he immediately took the little girl from him so she could go eat.

Originally, Da Ya wanted Li Chang'an to eat first. In her mind, it was only after her husband had eaten and drunk his fill that it was the wife's turn to eat the leftovers.

But Li Chang'an didn't think so, and he didn't think there was anything to be proud of in eating first.

I forced her to eat first, while I took care of the child.

Then the little girl gave me a hard time.

Although the little girl wasn't very strong, she couldn't resist tricks like picking her nose and gouging out her eyes.

So when Daya took her, Li Chang'an slapped her bottom twice and gave her a fierce warning.

"If you gouge my eyeballs again, I'll spank you."

The little girl thought it was just playing around, so she twisted her tiny body a couple of times and giggled nonstop.

I picked up a bowl of porridge, took a couple of sips, and then realized there were no chopsticks.

Forget it, with these conditions, why would we need chopsticks? We're lucky to have a bowl.

Meanwhile, Er Ya, sitting opposite, was squinting her eyes while drinking her porridge.

His face was beaming with happiness.

She managed to make a bowl of porridge taste like a delicious dish.

The two sisters were drinking their porridge, their faces beaming with happiness.

Li Chang'an felt a warmth in his heart.

Since going bankrupt and accumulating a mountain of debt, he hadn't seen such a heartwarming scene in a long time.

Relatives and friends avoided him like the plague, fearing they would be implicated.

A person burdened with hundreds of millions of yuan in debt lived a life of aimless drifting.

Hiding in his rented room, he kills time by playing video games.

I've thought about suicide several times, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

It's good that I've traveled through time; consider it a fresh start.

Although the world is a bit poor, I have a cheat code.

Oh, and he also has a wife, with two adorable little sisters-in-law.

Li Chang'an accepted the fact that he had transmigrated and prepared to start his second life, enjoying every day from now on.

After eating and drinking her fill, Daya was still feeding the little guy porridge.

Li Chang'an thought for a moment, took out a can of milk powder from his backpack, opened the lid, and handed it over.

This is the milk powder I received as a reward for completing the mission.

The AK47 is already in my backpack; I'll examine it later.

"Boil a kettle of water later, then soak this in the water like you would when cooking rice. When the water is lukewarm, feed it to the little one."

Daya took the jar and saw that it was filled with something that looked like flour, but it was finer and had a fragrant aroma.

"This is for children, but of course you and Er Ya can eat it too; it's good for your health."

Seeing that Da Ya looked a little confused, Li Chang'an explained.

Er Ya took out a wooden stick from the corner, picked up a bamboo basket, and stood at the doorway, saying...

"Sister, the rain has stopped. I'll go gather some firewood and see if there are any wild vegetables while I'm at it."

Seeing her appearance, Li Chang'an was somewhat puzzled and asked, "Is this how you usually do it? After eating, you go to collect firewood and then use the firewood to exchange for food?"

"Mmm~"

Daya nodded, thought for a moment, and then continued, "Sometimes we also dig up some yellow mud from the river to repair the house."

Hearing what Daya said, Li Chang'an became interested.

History books usually tell stories of famous ministers and generals, but he really doesn't know anything about the lives of ordinary people.

"Er Ya, wait a minute, I'll go with you."

Li Chang'an stood up, put the bamboo basket in Er Ya's hand on his back, took her hand, and gave instructions to Daya.

"You burned your hand, so stay home and take good care of the kids. I'll cook dinner when I get back."

Upon hearing this, Daya nodded with a blush on her face.

After watching Li Chang'an walk away with Er Ya, she blushed, lowered her head, and whispered something.

"Yes, my husband."

——

There were no roads in the world originally, but as more people walked on them, roads were formed.

There is a small path in the mountains, smoothed out by the soles of our feet.

Er Ya skipped and hopped all the way, refusing to walk properly.

Seeing several villagers gathered together, Er Ya walked over and greeted them triumphantly.

"Second Uncle, Second Uncle, look, this is my brother-in-law."

"Third Sister, this is my brother-in-law, my sister's husband. He brought me here to collect firewood today."

Before Li Chang'an could even introduce himself, the villagers all knew that Daya had found a husband.

Some villagers were initially wary of Li Chang'an, but after hearing Er Ya's words, they lowered their guard, nodded at him, and then showed some envy.

I envy Daya for finding such a tall and handsome husband.

Look at that build, that height, that physique.

Tsk tsk tsk,

It would be such a waste not to go and collect manure!

Seeing Er Ya's excited expression, Li Chang'an didn't bother to stop her.

He nodded to the passing villagers while sizing them up.

poverty,

This was his first impression of the villagers.

Very poor

Every villager was wearing thin hemp clothing, many parts of which were worn out and not mended. They were simply draped loosely over their bodies and tied with straw ropes.

Some villagers didn't even have clothes, so they wove trousers or skirts out of grass, went out shirtless, and carried bamboo baskets on their backs.

Li Chang'an even saw a little girl about the same age as Er Ya, casually draped in a straw mat and carrying a tattered bamboo basket as she passed by.

Only a few villagers who were familiar with Er Ya would stop to greet her; the others would hurry by with blank stares.

They looked like zombies, with lifeless eyes and expressionless faces.
