Chapter 43 Guo Dajiao's Peak Moment

The junior officer, tired of playing along, drew his sword and said fiercely, "How dare you deceive me! I believe you are spies of the Liao people."

"Men, seize them and thoroughly search this village to see if any Liao people are being harbored."

If they were really facing the Liao people, the junior officer would not dare to go up.

However, the junior officer still had considerable courage when facing this group of refugees.

"Who dares?" Lai Fu looked at them and couldn't help but shout.

The auxiliary soldiers sneered and picked up their weapons, ready to kill a few of the leaders and scare them.

This tactic always works. Every time, as long as a few leaders are killed, the rest dare not resist and are at their mercy.

Seeing the auxiliary soldiers surrounding them, the villagers exchanged glances, and none of them dared to step forward.

They retreated little by little, and Youchu, carrying Xiaoya, was also pushed back by the crowd.

I wasn't paying attention and I tripped and fell.

Several maids went up and helped the lady up.

When the auxiliary soldiers saw the maid and Youchu hiding at the very back, lewd smiles appeared on their faces.

"Well, huh?" The junior officer pointed his sword at You Chu and said, "So you've got a few young ladies hiding here."

After this period of recuperation, Youchu has gained some weight and is no longer as skinny as before.

She looked rather well-off, and coupled with her good looks, she stood out among the villagers.

Upon hearing this, the maids immediately surrounded Youchu, their eyes glaring fiercely at the junior officer.

"Hand over these young ladies, and I'll let you go, how about it?"

The junior officer looked at the villagers with amusement and began to speak.

The villagers looked at Youchu and suddenly stopped, no longer retreating.

Guo Dajiao, holding a hoe, looked at her husband, then at her son, and finally at the neatly dressed Lin Youchu. She gritted her teeth and stepped forward.

"Sir, will you let us go if we hand over these people?"

Guo Dajiao walked over, smiling obsequiously.

The junior officer looked at her with disdain and said, "It seems there is a smart one. As long as you hand over these young ladies, I will pretend I was never here."

Guo Dajiao, holding a hoe, humbly approached the junior officer: "Sir, actually, they are the richest family in our village. They have a lot of grain hidden away. Let me tell you where they have it."

The villagers looked at Guo Dajiao with fire in their eyes. They never expected that this dog-like bastard would betray them just to survive.

The junior officer smiled, looking at the ignorant village woman before him, and thought to himself.

Naive. Do you think you can survive by handing them over?

He stepped forward, wanting to hear Guo Dajiao reveal the location of the hidden grain.

"Let me tell you, I'm a fucking bastard."

Guo Dajiao swung his hoe and smashed it on the head of the junior officer, then kicked him.

"You son of a bitch, Lao Guo, are you even a man? They've already bullied you to the point of being humiliated, and you're still hiding?"

Guo Dajiao shouted angrily at the villagers: "You sons-in-law! Your son-in-law feeds you and gives you money, but now that something's wrong, you all cower behind him."

"Old Guo, you better show me the guts you had when you scared me the other day. All talk and no action, anyone can do that."

Guo Datou felt that his mother was incredibly powerful, so he grabbed his hoe and rushed over, waving it at the auxiliary soldiers.

"Anyone who takes another step forward, I'll kill them."

Guo Datou's father, seeing his wife and children rushing to the front, also gripped his hoe tightly and went over.

The villagers exchanged glances.

"Go for it, you bunch of cowards!"

Xiong Er roared and stepped forward.

"For the sake of my son-in-law."

"For the sake of my son-in-law!"

"For the sake of my son-in-law!"

About twenty villagers picked up their weapons and stood in front of You Chu, glaring menacingly at the auxiliary soldiers.

The junior officer was hit with a hoe and then kicked away. He stood up, clutching his head, furious.

"Get him there, you son of a bitch!"

The lackey remained silent, holding his weapon, looking at the villagers before him, his legs suddenly went weak.

"Sir... there's something wrong with these people!"

The auxiliary soldiers behind them also dared not step forward.

They only had ten people, while the other side had at least twenty.

If a real fight breaks out, we might not necessarily win.

The junior officer gritted his teeth, drew his knife, and confronted the villagers.

"Who the hell dares to cause trouble in my Chengxi Village? Don't they know this place is under my protection?"

Hearing the sound, everyone turned to look and saw Li Chang'an slowly walking over, carrying a thick pipe.

"Young master, you've arrived."

"Son-in-law."

"Son-in-law!"

Seeing Li Chang'an approach, the villagers felt reassured and more confident, glaring fiercely at the group of auxiliary soldiers.

"What happened?"

Li Chang'an walked up to the villagers and asked them.

"Young Master." Lai Fu was no longer afraid when he saw him return. He pointed to the flag officer and said, "They came to collect grain. They said they wanted five hundred dan of grain, one thousand jin of meat, and several hundred guan of silver."

"hehe."

Upon hearing this, Li Chang'an couldn't help but sneer at the junior officer, "Are you kidding me? If they had that much grain, would they need to hide in the mountains?"

The junior officer looked at Li Chang'an and couldn't help but twitch his lips.

Judging from his appearance, he was the son of a wealthy family. Although it was unclear why he was hiding in the mountains, he was obviously the leader of this group of refugees.

With someone taking the lead, the refugees who gathered together were not like the mob that was elsewhere.
