The dinner at the Ye family's house was lavish and attended by many people.
However, Li Tian felt that the more unusual the occasion, the less flavorful the food became.
It's much more comfortable to cook a couple of dishes at home and have some wine.
But now that he's in the Ye family, Li Tian has no choice but to make do.
Since Li Tian had just recovered from a serious illness, no one clamored to challenge him to a drinking contest.
Li Tian didn't return to the villa that night, but chose to spend the New Year at the Ye family's old house, since there was plenty of room to rest there.
"I want to go see your sister's room?" Li Tian asked Ye Lan.
Ye Lan nodded; Li Tian had already told her this before they came.
Ye Lan led Li Tian to an unused room.
When the servants saw the second young lady, and her husband was behind her, they did not stop her.
Upon entering the room, Li Tian immediately noticed that the walls were covered with Chinese characters.
In just a moment, Li Tian felt dizzy.
"Alan, look what's written on this wall?" Li Tian asked, pointing to a wall.
"What did you write?"
Ye Lan was very curious. The wall was completely bare, so where were the words?
Has Li Tian's mental illness relapsed?
Li Tian pointed to a word and asked, "Can't you really see it?"
Ye Lan shook her head and said, "Li Tian, don't scare me!"
Ye Lan thought Li Tian was having another episode; otherwise, why would he suddenly say there were words here?
Ignoring Ye Lan, Li Tian began to examine the Chinese characters on the wall.
He remembered Wang Dehui saying that such characters could not exist for more than one hundred days.
He refuted Ye Yu's point of view at the time, saying that he had read Ye Yu's diary from eighteen years ago.
Both Ye Feng and A Dan said they couldn't see the words on the diary clearly.
Now he can see the Chinese characters on the wall, but Ye Lan seems unable to.
Li Tian carefully examined what was written on the wall.
"Li Tian, Li Tian, Ye Feng, Ye Feng, husband, child..."
Li Tian saw that the characters written here were the same Chinese characters over and over again.
There was nothing I wanted to know; I'd actually hoped to find out where the round-trip ticket came from!
It seems I was overthinking things.
I walked around the room twice, but didn't notice anything different.
Of course, this excludes the text on the wall that you can see but others cannot.
Li Tian checked the time and it was almost nine o'clock at night, so he left the room.
He himself didn't feel anything, but he was worried that Ye Lan would be scared.
"What? What did you just see?" Ye Lan asked curiously.
"It's nothing, I'm just a little dazed. By the way, shall I stay in your room tonight?"
Ye Lan rolled her eyes at Li Tian and said, "Tell me the truth, did you start having designs on me a long time ago?"
"No, that's really not true. I didn't even know your sister's identity back then, how could I possibly know about your existence, right?"
Seeing Li Tian's serious expression, it didn't seem like he was lying.
But then, thinking about this guy's acting skills, Ye Lan curled her lips, realizing she had been blinded by greed.
They actually wanted to get the truth out of Li Tian?
You can't believe a word this guy says, he just talks nonsense.
After the two entered Ye Lan's room, Li Tian also looked around.
"How's my room? Not bad, right? Even if I don't come, someone will still come to clean it!"
Li Tian nodded. Ye Lan's room was much more welcoming than Ye Yu's.
Ye Lan's room had its own bathroom, and Ye Lan went in first to wash up.
"How did you get in?" Ye Lan asked as Li Tian pushed the door open and entered.
"What are you saying? Can't I come in? Can't I even enjoy the beautiful scenery?"
Ye Lan laughed when she saw Li Tian's shameless behavior, and said, "You really are a shameless scoundrel!"
"Really? Why don't you call me a hooligan? Looks like I'm not hooligan enough!"
This bath took a rather long time, and Ye Lan was eventually helped out by Li Tian.
Perhaps because the temperature in the bathroom was too high, Ye Lan's face was still flushed.
"Virtue!"
Lying on the bed, Ye Lan rolled her eyes at Li Tian; the battle just now was quite exciting.
This was her own private room, a place once filled with all sorts of fantasies.
Li Tian pulled Ye Lan into his arms and then fell into a deep sleep.
"Grandpa, Happy New Year!"
"Grandpa, Happy New Year!"
"Alright, alright! Hahaha, here, these are red envelopes for you!"
"Grandpa, this is too little! Only one hundred yuan! What can you do with that little money?"
"That's right, Grandpa, you're so stingy!"
The children were clearly unhappy with the red envelopes in their hands and kept complaining to Li Tian.
"You little rascal, what do you know? This is called being diligent and thrifty in managing a household. It's a fine virtue passed down from our ancestors!"
Li Tian patted the children's heads as he told them stories about Lei Feng.
Three years inside, three years outside, and another three years of patching and mending.
On the other side, Li Tian's daughter, Li Jingjing, looked at her father with a helpless expression.
He's already so rich, but he still acts like a miser. I really don't know who he's saving all this money for.
Just then, the sound of firecrackers went off outside the window.
Li Tian said to the children, "Come on, Grandpa will take you to set off fireworks!"
"Dad, be careful!" Li Jingjing reminded him.
"Oh dear, I'm a grown woman, do I need you to remind me, Yiyi...!"
Um?
Li Tian was stunned for a moment. Yi Yi?
