Chapter 44 I Got It

Huo Yan walked down the stairs in her slippers, yawning as she walked.

"Mom, Dad, and brother, good morning." She sat on the sofa in a daze, looking sleepy and half-dead.

"Oh, you've become more capable. You're already hungover on the first day back home. If you're so capable, why don't you sleep outside?" Her brother said sarcastically when he saw her like this.

"Humph, this is my home. I can come back whenever I want. What the hell is it to you?"

"What the hell does it have to do with me? Huo Yan, have you become more capable? If I wasn't afraid of you bringing shame to the Huo family, I wouldn't bother to say anything to you."

"Huh, when did I ever lose it?"

"Tsk, haven't you lost enough?"

"Mom, look at him?" Huo Yan couldn't argue with him, so she acted coquettishly to her mother.

Huo's parents were no longer surprised to see the two siblings quarreling. From childhood to adulthood, they had never stopped quarreling. It would be strange if they didn't quarrel.

Whenever they sit together, they're bound to argue. Even if they don't see each other, they're still thinking about each other.

"Okay, just say less. You're obviously worried to death, but you still have to say such offensive things. Can't you, as a brother, say something nice?" Mom tried to smooth things over.

"I'm worried about her? What a joke." My brother turned his head away proudly, unwilling to admit the fact.

"Hey, I want you to worry, huh." Huo Yan became more excited after hearing him say that.

"Tsk, look at how sloppy you are. You won't be laughed at if you go out."

"Hey, even though you're dressed like an elite, it's not certain that women will like you."

"You." Her brother was so angry that he laughed.

"It's unreasonable."

"Angry out of shame."

"Hmph." My brother went out directly.

"Hey, why did you leave?" his mother called out from behind him. She really didn't understand why these two kids were so troublesome.

"Out of sight, out of mind." My brother left without looking back.

"Hey, Sister Lin, if you don't like the way you're dressed, change up. Maybe Sister Lin will look at you with a higher opinion of you." Huo Yan added fearlessly behind him.

Her mother quickly pulled her sleeve, signaling her to say less and not to start a fight.

Her brother turned to look at her angrily, his eyes spitting fire.

Huo Yan looked at him provocatively with a smug look on her face. Her expression was so smug that it seemed as if she was saying, if you don't accept it, come and hit me.

Seeing her like that, her brother was so angry that his teeth itched. Then, he snorted and left in a rage.

"Why do you quarrel with your brother as soon as you come back?" Mom poked her eyebrow and said.

"He was the one who said that to me first." Huo Yan said unconvinced.

"Can't he say a word to you when you're like that? Your brother is so worried about you."

"Even if he's worried, he can't say that to me."

"Alas, it's all because of your father's spoiling." Seeing that she couldn't convince him, the mother simply pushed the blame onto someone else.

"Hehe, Daddy is the best. Do you miss me?" She said as she sat next to her daddy, hugged his arm and acted coquettishly.

Dad looked very happy: "Of course, that brat deserves a beating."

"that is."

"Does your head still hurt? Do you want to sleep a little longer?"

"Dad rubs it and it doesn't hurt anymore. I won't sleep. I'll chat with Dad for a while."

"Hey, you are worthy of being my daughter."

Mrs. Huo looked at the father and daughter. One was coaxed so hard that he didn't know what day it was, while the other was blown so hard that his face didn't even turn red.

Some smiled and shook their heads.

"My daughter, now that you're back, are you still leaving?"

"No, I won't go there again. It's not a good place to be in a foreign country. The food is terrible. Look, I've lost weight."

"Yes, you have lost weight. I have asked Auntie to cook something delicious for you."

"Dad is so nice."

"We are a wealthy family with a big business. You won't starve to death. If you don't want to work, then don't do it. At worst, Dad will set up a company for you and you can be your own boss." Dad said with a proud look on his face, as if starting a company was no big deal for him.

If her brother knew about this, he would definitely say that he was spoiling his daughter to his mind.

"Dad is so generous." Huo Yan praised from the side.

"Don't worry, what's going on between you and that kid from the Shen family? He sent you back last night." Mom asked her in time.

"What's going on? It's just like that." Huo Yan said indifferently.

"He's meddling in other people's business. He has nothing better to do."

"Anyway, they sent you back. You can thank them someday."

"Hey, I'll thank him, don't even think about it."

"You kid, what's wrong with you and him? I think he's quite polite, why do you dislike him?"

"He is disliked."

"Hmph, I think you are the one who is disliked more."

"Mom, how could you say that about your daughter?"

"You're still afraid of what I'll say."

"Anyway, when you have time, go over and thank them. After all, they brought you back."

"I know."
