Song Ci got up early in the morning. Today was the first day of opening her clothing store, and she had to go to work. She had been preparing for it a month ago, and now everything was arranged and she was about to start work.
Even though she was very sleepy, she still struggled to get out of the bed.
She sat up with a heavy head and looked to the side out of habit. Hey, the person was gone. She took out her cell phone and saw that it was only 7:30.
She was a little surprised. She didn't expect him to get up so early.
She patted her cheeks and went to the bathroom to wash up.
The consequence of staying up all night is lack of sleep, a heavy head, dull eyes, lack of energy, and yawning.
When she appeared in the living room with a tired look on her face, her grandmother looked at her thoughtfully, then at her grandson beside her.
"Xiao Ci, did you not sleep well last night?" Grandma asked curiously.
"Yeah, it's fine." Song Ci said a little sleepily, but no matter how he said it, it didn't seem believable.
"Are you fine? Did you have a fight with Xiaojue?" Grandma asked again.
"Cough cough cough." Song Ci was drinking porridge and was startled by her grandma's words. She quickly waved her hands.
Mu Jingjue took the tissue and handed it to her in time. Song Ci took it naturally. When she reacted, the other two people at the table were looking at her.
Well, the movements are so natural, especially when handing the paper.
Song Ci replied somewhat unnaturally: "No, I just slept too much during the day and couldn't sleep at night."
"Really? No wonder you and Xiaojue both have dark circles under your eyes." Grandma asked with a hint of doubt.
Upon hearing this, Song Ci glanced at him quickly. It seemed that there was indeed a hint of blue in his eyes. Could it be that he didn't sleep last night either?
Before she could take a closer look, the person opposite her had already stood up.
"Grandma, I'm full. I'll go to work first." Mu Jingjue ignored his grandmother's inquiry. He understood the implicit meaning of her words.
As soon as I came downstairs, I caught myself and asked, what's going on at the moment, doesn't he know? I might as well go to work first.
"What's the hurry? Xiao Ci hasn't finished drinking yet. She's going to work today too. You're on the same way, so why don't you give her a ride?" Grandma hurriedly stopped him.
Upon hearing this, Mu Jingjue stopped and did not leave for a moment, as if he was thinking.
Song Ci quickly put down the bowl and waved his hand to refuse: "No, I can drive myself, you can go first if you are busy."
"What are you busy with? It won't take a few minutes. Let him take it." Grandma said with a persistent look.
"Wait a minute, what's the rush? What's the big company going to do without you? What do the employees do? Just eat and eat?"
Grandma scolded him, and Song Ci quickly lowered his head to drink the porridge.
Mu Jingjue looked at her, then at his grandmother, then put the suit in his hand on his legs and sat aside helplessly waiting for her.
"There's really no need to send me off. It's not like I don't have a car." Mu Yanran muttered softly.
Seeing that he really stopped to wait for him, Song Ci felt a little overwhelmed, but he didn't dare to keep him waiting for too long, so he quickly finished the porridge in his hand.
"Why are you in such a hurry? Slow down, there's no rush." Grandma urged her to slow down. Then she looked at her eldest grandson next to her with a look of disgust.
"It's all your fault. Why are you rushing me?"
Mu Jingjue was sitting aside. Disaster struck him out of nowhere. He didn't say anything, but it turned out that he was the one who urged things. He felt quite innocent.
"You look so innocent, sitting there like you're being forced to wait."
Song Ci found it a little funny to see him speechless.
Mu Jingjue turned his head and was caught by him. Song Ci quickly lowered his head and finished picking it up.
"Grandma, I'm leaving first."
"Hey, you look so tired. Why don't you take a day off and go back to work tomorrow? Our family doesn't need this little money." Grandma looked distressed.
After she finished speaking, she seemed to remember something and yelled at Mu Jingjue beside her, "Didn't you hand in your salary?"
Mu Jingjue was extremely helpless after being scolded by his grandmother. He quickly glanced at Song Ci and said, "I gave it to you."
"Well, it better be. Otherwise, you'll be in trouble."
"Grandma, you misunderstood him. He gave me the card. My store is opening today, so I have to go over there." Song Ci explained.
"Really? That's good. Opening a business is a big deal. Do you want grandma to send someone over to help?" Grandma smiled kindly at Song Ci.
Song Ci quickly refused, fearing that her grandmother would bring a bunch of people over to support her, and she wouldn't be able to bear that.
Grandma didn't force her. After talking for a while, she let her go out to work.
Song Ci hurried to the door to change his shoes, and then went out.
