Back outside the Dongtou Village pier, the sun had already set, and the sky was ablaze with the colors of sunset, a truly beautiful sight.
Tomorrow should be another good day.
The tide had just come in, and the Rising Sun was unable to dock, so it had to anchor in the deep waters outside.
Just as I was thinking about whether to take someone else's small wooden boat to the dock and row over, I saw Xiao Guowen rowing over in his small wooden boat.
"Brother Wen, what brings you here?"
Feng Ye was somewhat surprised.
"I was already waiting for you at the pier. I saw you coming back from afar, so I came to pick you up. Otherwise, how would you get back to the pier?"

Xiao Guowen said with a smile, "Isn't there a high tide tomorrow? I want to take your sister-in-law and A-Wu to the deserted island to fish."
Upon hearing this, Feng Ye had an idea and decided to play a trick on him, so he said, "I won't lend it to you."
"What? You won't lend it?"
Xiao Guowen was stunned, his face filled with disbelief, staring wide-eyed at Feng Ye.
This was completely different from what he had expected.
In his mind, borrowing Feng Ye's small wooden boat should be an easy thing, after all, their relationship was there.
Even if he borrowed it without asking, Feng Ye probably wouldn't mind.
But to his surprise, Feng Ye actually rejected him, which was completely unexpected.

Xiao Guowen said with a disappointed look, "So you lent the boat to A-Can?"

Xiao Guowen finally realized that he had been tricked.
"Haha, Brother Wen, don't you think Ah Ye would really refuse to lend you a boat if you asked?"
"This is what they mean by 'one is influenced by one's surroundings'!"
Ah Can and Feng Xuan burst into laughter; they had been holding it in for a long time.
"You guys... ah..."
Xiao Guowen was a little furious and rushed over to fight with Feng Ye.
Feng Xuan and A-Can watched the two playfully interacting with great interest.
After a while, Feng Ye and Xiao Guowen finally stopped. They were evenly matched, and neither of them gained the upper hand.
"Alright, stop fooling around, let's get ashore first," Feng Xuan said with a smile.
Feng Ye, panting heavily, said, "Let's go, help us move the goods onto the small boat first."
Xiao Guowen nodded: "Okay."
There was still a faint smell of corpses in the cabin, but it was very faint and was covered by a strong fishy smell, so it was basically undetectable.

Ah-Can pursed his lips.

During their question-and-answer session, Ah-Can vividly recounted what had happened that morning.
Feng Ye ignored them and only instructed, "Brother Wen, A-Can, don't spread this around, lest your family hears and worries."
"I know, I won't tell anyone."
Xiao Guowen and A-Can both nodded.
The afternoon's catch wasn't much, and it was all quickly transferred to the small wooden boat.
After rowing the small wooden boat to the dock, we went to Uncle Fa's purchasing point to sell the fish.
As expected, toadfish are very cheap, only 30 cents a pound.
The total catch only sold for less than 60 yuan, a pitifully small amount.
Including what I got this morning, I only made 576 yuan, less than 600 yuan.
Feng Ye received 280 yuan, A-Can and Feng Xuan each received 140 yuan, and the remaining 16 yuan was used to buy diesel fuel.
