It's too far away and a bit blurry to make out what it is.
He pointed and said, "Brother, Ah-Can, look over there, what's that floating over there?"
Ah Can was picking fish and Feng Xuan was baiting the hook. Upon hearing this, they both looked up and followed the direction Feng Ye pointed.
"What could this grayish-white thing be?"
"We can't see it clearly, so who knows? Let's wait for it to drift over and take a look."
Seeing that they couldn't figure it out either, Feng Ye had no choice but to give up. While busy reeling in the line, he would keep an eye on it from time to time to prevent it from changing direction and drifting away.
