Although the sea cucumber had been burrowed into its anus by a hidden fish, it was still a sea cucumber, and Feng Ye didn't mind.
He picked it up and put it in his net bag, then continued his search.
After catching several small green dragons, sea cucumbers, scallops, and octopuses, he found two small green dragon tentacles in a crevice in the reef.
What else is there to say? He stepped forward, grabbed the tentacle, pulled it out of the gap, and held it in his hand.
The little green dragon was naturally unwilling to be captured and was determined to escape. It curled up, then sprang open, then curled up again, repeating this process over and over.
Unfortunately, it was destined to be in vain.
Compared to human strength, its strength is simply negligible.
He put it into the net, then reached into the gap and rummaged around, unexpectedly catching another one.
This came without any effort at all.
Feng Ye happily accepted it, then thought to himself, "Continue, continue."
As time went by, his harvest increased, and the net bag around his waist gradually filled up.
When he was almost exhausted, he would slowly float upwards by using his flippers.
...
In this way, Feng Ye and A-Can took turns diving into the sea.
Around 4 p.m., Ah-chan returned to the boat and brought back a net full of seafood.
After quickly sorting through the debris, Feng Ye steered the boat to the location of the sunken ship, preparing to dive down to examine its condition and see if it was possible to pull up the diesel engine.
He took an adjustable wrench from his toolbox, put on his diving gear, and went back into the sea.
The water here is shallower than the cliff side, only about eleven or twelve meters deep.
There weren't that many seafood items, but relatively speaking, the density of seafood was still quite high.
The location was clear, and Feng Ye found the shipwreck off Long Tail Island in no time.
However, as he approached the wreck, he discovered that the situation was far worse than he had imagined.
It turns out that when the ship sank to the bottom of the sea, it somehow capsized and is now upside down in the mud and sand.
What's even more troublesome is that the silt and sand piled up quite deep, burying most of the cab.
Feng Ye couldn't help but frown.
Under such circumstances, it would be virtually impossible to pull the ship's machinery up.
He had no choice but to give up and began to float to the surface, wiggling his flippers.
This dive was a complete waste of time because we didn't bring a landing net or a net bag.
A short while later, he floated to the surface of the water.
Seeing that he came up so quickly, Ah-Can couldn't help but have some guesses, but still asked, "Did you take it off?"
"When the ship sank, it was upside down, and the mud and sand were so thick that it couldn't be dismantled."
Feng Ye shook his head with a wry smile as he climbed onto the boat.
"Luckily, there's plenty of stock here, otherwise this diving equipment would have been a complete waste of money."
Upon hearing this, Ah-Can couldn't help but feel somewhat disappointed.
Feng Ye retorted, "Not really. We have a diving set on board; there's always a time when it will come in handy."
"That's true, better safe than sorry," Ah-Can added. "Shall we go retrieve the longline now?"
"Let's collect them once, then we'll go back."
Feng Ye nodded.
The longline has been in the sea for ten hours, so it's time to reel it in one more time.
Normally, they would collect their longline fishing twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
"Alright, I'll go start the boat."
As he spoke, Ah-Can went to the driver's seat and started the diesel engine.
After taking off his diving equipment, Feng Ye wiped the seawater off his body with a towel and put his clothes back on.
...
The Rising Sun successfully located the buoy bobbing up and down with the waves on the sea surface in less than twenty minutes.
After pulling the buoy onto the boat, the two men worked together to retrieve it.
Perhaps because they had seen so many valuable seafood items that afternoon, the two of them were rather uninterested in the ordinary catch from longline fishing.
But since it was still worth some money, the two of them cheered up and got to work.
However, just as they had finished most of their longline fishing, an unexpected incident occurred.
Suddenly, a colossal creature emerged from the sea in the distance.
Ah-Can witnessed this scene and was immediately stunned.
"Brother Ye, Brother Ye..."
After Ah-Can came to his senses, he quickly tugged at Feng Ye, who was in front of him, looking down as he pulled on the longline.
Feng Ye turned to look at him, and asked in confusion, "What?"
Ah-Can pointed in the direction of the orca and said, "Over there, an orca has surfaced."
"Huh? Orca?"
Feng Ye looked in the direction A-Can pointed with surprise, and said with some puzzlement, "How come there's another one? Are there many killer whales in this area?"
"Could it be the one we rescued yesterday?" Ah-Can said excitedly.
Thinking about his amazing trip riding an orca yesterday, Ah-chan couldn't help but get excited and fantasize about riding it again.
Feng Ye shook his head.
The differences between orcas are not obvious; they are all black and white. Unless there is a huge difference in size or obvious features, it is difficult to tell them apart.
The orca from yesterday was easy to spot, since it had injuries on its head and back.
But we're a bit far away now, so we can't see what's happening on the orca's head and back.
"If only it were the one from yesterday..."
Ah-chan stared intently at the orca, muttering to himself.
Feng Ye laughed and said, "You're thinking of riding it again?"
"Brother Ye, don't you want to?"
"I do want to, but it's all in vain. Even if it were yesterday, there's no chance to ride it again."
