Chapter 363 Four Tang Crown Cones

"If there's one, there will be two. Butterflyfish usually appear in pairs, so where's the other one?"

Feng Ye was a little puzzled, so he carefully swam towards it, using his flippers.

Butterflyfish are staunch defenders of monogamy, always appearing and playing in pairs.

While one butterflyfish is feeding, another will patrol and guard nearby.

As he swam past a protruding coral reef that blocked his view, he indeed spotted another yellow butterflyfish foraging for food.

"There were indeed two, but unfortunately we could only catch one."

This thing is too timid and moves very quickly; when startled, it will run into the crevices of the coral reef and hide.

He was also a little worried that the yellow butterfly fish might not survive if he took it home.

Butterflyfish have high requirements for water quality, requiring a relative density of 1.020-1.023, a water temperature of 26-30℃, and a pH below 8.

However, despite my concerns, it's impossible for him to give up.

Let's take it back first. I was planning to keep it as a pet anyway, so it doesn't matter if it dies.

At that time, the ornamental fish market was too small, and he had no intention of spending time and effort to find sales channels.

Feng Ye took a deep breath, adjusted his breathing, and then slowly extended the small net, aiming at the patrolling, swimming area.

Another yellow butterflyfish was foraging among the corals and couldn't be caught.

Just as the net was about to touch the wary butterflyfish, a sudden surge of water stirred up the surrounding seawater.

But then a large sea bass, about 60 or 70 centimeters long, suddenly rushed over.

He was startled and instinctively stopped what he was doing, afraid of alerting his target.

However, the butterflyfish seemed to be more sensitive to this sudden change.

It swung its tail fin rapidly and disappeared into the coral reef like a yellow lightning bolt.

Meanwhile, another yellow butterflyfish that was foraging for food turned around and darted into a nearby reef cave.

"Fuck you..."

Looking at the large sea bass, Feng Ye was so angry he felt like vomiting blood.

step!

Just one step away!

He will then be able to keep that yellow butterflyfish.

But now, it's all gone.

They could only watch helplessly as the two beautiful butterflyfish disappeared into the labyrinth of the coral reef.

Driven by wickedness, he tucked the net behind his back and put the small hook back in his hand.

Slowly swim to its side, wait for the right moment, and then chisel it down with the hook.

The sea bass seemed to sense the danger and tried to escape.

Unfortunately, it was too late; the sharpened hook struck its head hard.

This sea bass is really unlucky; it just so happens that the hole went right into its eye.

Fresh blood immediately gushed from the wound, staining the nearby seawater red, but it was quickly diluted by more seawater and disappeared.

The intense pain caused the sea bass to struggle violently, its body twisting wildly in an attempt to break free of its restraints.

But Feng Ye wouldn't let it succeed, holding onto the hook tightly and refusing to let go.

Sure enough, this sea bass was incredibly strong in the water, forcing Feng Ye, who had nowhere to pull on, to run alongside it.

But with its head destroyed, it was merely struggling in its death throes.

In no time, the sea bass was upside down, motionless, and dead beyond any doubt.

"Damn it, now you're all done for doing bad things."

Feng Ye muttered to himself, then wiggled his flippers and pulled the sea bass to the surface.

When he surfaced, his father and son, Ah-chan, had already returned to the boat and were resting.

"Why did it take you so long to get up here?"

When Feng Jiaqing saw him float to the surface, he asked with some concern.

"I caught some ornamental fish, which took up a bit of time. Oh, and this too."

Feng Ye pulled the sea bass out of the water; its silvery-white scales reflected the sunlight.

"What a huge sea bass! It must weigh at least ten pounds! How did you catch it?"

Ah-Can asked with great curiosity.

Feng Ye attached the buoy connected to the net and the sea bass to the extended hook before climbing onto the boat.

After removing his breathing mask and flippers, he briefly explained how he caught the sea bass while putting the damselfish he had caught into the live water tank.

"He was really unlucky, and died a very unjust death."

Ah-Can looked at the only wound on the sea bass, shook his head, and took it into the cabin.

Feng Jiaqing, however, was furious: "How dare you? You're incredibly audacious! Making bloody water on the seabed, aren't you afraid of attracting sharks?"

Feng Jialing chimed in, "Yes, Aye, you were too reckless. How could you make blood flow on the seabed?"

"It's not that easy to encounter a shark. I'm perfectly fine."

Feng Ye said with a smile, "Besides, I've observed that there are no sharks in this area."

Feng Jiaqing glared at him. "Better safe than sorry. Don't take such risks again!"

"Understood, Father."

Hearing her son's perfunctory answer, Feng Jiaqing could only roll her eyes helplessly.

After Ah-Can came out, he went to the front of the live water tank and looked at the small fish swimming leisurely inside. He couldn't help but ask, "What kind of fish is this? It's quite pretty."

"Pteranodon".

"A damselfish? Never heard of it. What are you going to do with such a small thing?"

"To raise them for viewing."

Ah-Can said disappointedly, "I thought I could sell it for money."

"Maybe?"

Feng Ye smiled. "But I did catch them to raise myself. Aren't these beautiful fish pleasing to the eye?"

Ah-Can curled his lip: "What a load of rubbish, it's all the same after a while."
