The next day, they went to the county town to sell dried fish before dawn, and then went out to sea to dive and catch sea urchins.
On the third day, Feng Ye didn't go and stayed at home.
It was already August 19th, and he had to accompany Qin Aijun on a fishing trip at sea.
Ah-chan originally wanted to go, but he suddenly said he wasn't going the night before before going to bed.
Feng Ye didn't say much, but he could roughly guess the reason.
At four o'clock that afternoon, Qin Aijun's Chengfeng yacht appeared in the waters outside Dongtou Village.
Upon seeing this, Feng Ye quickly went home, grabbed the change of clothes he had prepared earlier, and then hurried back to the dock.
"Uncle Fa, what about my remora? Did you manage to keep it alive?"
Before he even stepped into Feng Jiafa's shop, he started shouting.
"You're questioning my professionalism."
Feng Jiafa laughed and scolded, "Let me tell you, even if you die, they won't die."
"It's good that you're not dead. Hurry up and take it out; I need to take it away immediately."
"Where are you going?"
"Do you see that yacht?"
"Um?"
Feng Jiafa looked at the distant sea and then noticed it.
He asked uncertainly, "Is this Qin Aijun's yacht?"
Feng Ye nodded: "Yes, that's right, it's his."
"So you're going out to sea to fish?"
"Yes, those remora fish will come in handy."
"I'll go get it for you."
A short while later, Feng Jiafa took out the remora that he had been raising at his place.
"By the way, Uncle Fa, my dad and the others aren't home. I'll need to trouble you to take me to the yacht."
The yacht couldn't dock, so we had to sail there.
Although the Rising Sun had set sail, they still had a small, dilapidated boat docked at the pier.
"no problem."
Feng Jiafa readily agreed.
As the diesel engine roared to life, the small boat slowly sailed away from the dock, heading towards the approaching yacht in the distance.
The sea breeze caressed his face, and Feng Ye's mood rose and fell with the waves as he looked forward to the catch of this fishing trip.
Soon, the two ships met and pulled up to the stern of the Wind Chaser.
On the yacht, Qin Aijun was already waiting at the stern.
When he saw that Feng Jiafa had also come over, he was clearly stunned for a moment, but then he realized that he was there to bring Feng Ye over.
But he still chuckled and teased, "Little Feng, you said you wanted to bring one more person last time, was it him?"
Feng Ye shrugged: "Uncle Fa doesn't have time to go fishing with us, he just brought me here."
Feng Jiafa said with a displeased look, "Tch, you didn't call me!"
“Then I’ll invite him on the spot. I’m sure President Qin won’t have any objections,” Feng Ye said with a grin.
"Of course I have no objection." Qin Aijun laughed heartily. "Afa, let's go out to sea and have some fun."
"Fine, there's no sincerity at all."
Feng Jiafa waved his hand, "I'd better go back and mind the shop properly. You guys have fun."
After saying a few more words, he steered the boat away from the yacht and returned to the dock.
The yacht then started moving, turned around, and headed towards the center of the sea, cutting through the waves.
"President Qin, where is County Chief Hao? I haven't seen him."
Feng Ye carried the remora up the stairs from the sunken deck to the aft deck.
"He went to sleep as soon as he got on the ship."
Qin Aijun noticed that Feng Ye was still carrying a bucket and couldn't help but curiously peek over. "Why did you bring fish up here? Everything is prepared; there are plenty of vegetables on the boat."
"This thing is called a remora, but it's not used for cooking; it's used to catch fish with fish."
"What the heck, a remora? I've never heard of that."
"It's normal that you don't know it; many people have never seen this thing. It's a special kind of fish that doesn't swim on its own but instead attaches itself to larger fish to hitch a ride."
"Oh, I see."
Qin Aijun suddenly realized, and then asked curiously, "So how did you catch it?"
"We encountered a whale shark a while ago, and these remoras were caught from it."
"I've seen whale sharks before. Their heads were unbelievably huge, almost as long as my yacht. They kept chasing me, and I was almost scared to death by one."
“Whale sharks are very docile and generally do not attack human boats, so there is no need to be afraid of them.”
"Yes, Yao He and Xiao Chen said the same thing. But it's still quite scary when such a huge thing suddenly appears on the side."
"That's true, given its size."
Feng Ye smiled and pointed to the remora in the bucket, continuing, "President Qin, look, the part on the remora's head that looks like a shoe sole is actually the remora's sucker."
"The suction cup has a particularly strong adhesion. Once it attaches to a large fish, it is very difficult to shake it off."

This question stumped Feng Ye.
He only knew that remora could be used to catch fish, but he didn't really know the specifics of how to use them.
