Feng Ye listened with interest.
He found Hao Aiguo to be a rather interesting person.
Last time he went out to sea, he was very serious and seemed to have a deep mind, but this time he was obviously much more lively.
This might be related to the fact that there were fewer people on this voyage, which made him more relaxed.
He didn't participate. He took the vase in his hand, squinted and looked inside, but found he couldn't see anything.
But he wouldn't dare reach in and take it.
If there's a sea serpent hiding inside, then we're completely doomed.
After thinking for a moment, he picked up the net and inserted the handle inside.
Seeing his actions, Qin Aijun and Hao Aiguo were both completely dumbfounded.
"Xiao Feng, what are you doing?"
"Let me see if there's anything good inside?"
"What are you thinking? You're expecting gold rings, gold bracelets, or even gold bars inside?"
"I think you watch too much TV and movies. Do you think it's just a vase in those shows, where you'd hide things inside?"
Feng Ye smiled and shook his head: "What are you talking about? You guys really have a knack for making connections."
"Then what are you doing?" Qin Aijun asked curiously.
"You'll find out soon enough."
Feng Ye smiled mysteriously.
He stirred the vase with the handle of the net and, sure enough, sensed the presence of something else inside.
He handed the net to Qin Aijun: "President Qin, why don't you give it a try?"
"Let's give it a try. I want to see what you're really up to."
Qin Aijun took the net, stirred it inside like Feng Ye, and his eyes immediately lit up.
"Holy crap, there really is something in here."
"There really is something there? What is it?"
Hao Aiguo found it somewhat unbelievable.
"I don't know, it feels soft and squishy, not like a hard object."
"Pour it over and see if you can get it out."
"good."
Qin Aiguo threw down the net and picked up the vase, intending to turn it upside down.
Feng Ye roughly knew what was inside, and also knew that Qin Aijun was doing something futile.
So he quickly reminded him, "President Qin, what you're doing is useless."
"impossible."
Qin Aijun didn't believe it and turned the vase upside down again, but only some seawater and mud poured out.
"this……"
He was dumbfounded.
Feng Ye smiled and said, "President Qin, do you believe me now?"
Hao Aiguo seemed thoughtful and said, "Xiao Feng, do you know what's inside?"
Qin Aijun looked over upon hearing this.
"Um."
Feng Ye nodded: "It's most likely an octopus."
"Octopus? What do you mean?" Hao Aiguo pressed.
Qin Aijun also showed a curious expression, waiting for Feng Ye's explanation.
Feng Ye smiled slightly: "Think about it, this vase has been soaked in seawater for countless years, and it has naturally become a haven for some marine life."
"Octopuses, also known as eight-armed fish, particularly like to crawl into bottles and jars as their shelter."
"Some fishermen take advantage of this habit of octopuses by placing discarded bottles or cans in the sea to catch them, and the results are quite good."
"So that's how it is."
Qin Aijun suddenly realized, "If I hadn't heard you say that, I really wouldn't have known that octopuses have such habits."
Hao Aiguo nodded in agreement.
"You've gained some useless knowledge again, haven't you?"
Feng Ye laughed and said, "After all, you're not in this line of work, so it's normal that you don't know."
"How do you get the octopus out of there? Do you use your hands?" Hao Aiguo asked.
"Of course, otherwise would I have smashed the vase?"
"So what were you doing just now...?"
"Oh, I was worried there might be sea snakes inside. Now that I'm sure there aren't, I can safely reach in."
As Feng Ye spoke, he reached into the vase and began to feel around inside.
The opening is just the right size to fit one hand inside.
There were quite a few octopuses hiding inside; he estimated there were at least six or seven.
There are quite a few octopuses in here.
As Feng Ye spoke, he slowly pulled his arm out of the vase, his palm tightly gripping a struggling octopus.
This is a small white octopus, and it has short legs.
He put the little white seal into the bucket that Xiao Chen brought over, and then reached into the vase to continue grabbing.
The number was a bit beyond his expectations; there were actually more than he anticipated, with a total of nine caught.
"Not bad, nine little white seals. I'll have some side dishes for breakfast this morning."
"Hehe, I didn't expect to catch a vase. There's an unexpected surprise inside, it's just a bit small."
Qin Aiguo was somewhat smug.
The vase that was fished up was an antique, and it also contained so many octopuses, truly killing two birds with one stone.
"This little white octopus is just this size; it won't grow much bigger. And among all octopuses, the little white octopus is considered the most delicious."
"Really? Then we'll have to have a good taste of it later."
Hao Aiguo, who had never eaten Xiaobaizhang before, immediately became interested, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.
"The white octopus is just so-so. However, compared to other octopuses, it does taste better."
After saying that, Qin Aijun turned his head and said, "Xiao Chen, take the white stamp to the kitchen. It's getting late, we should make breakfast."
By now, it was already broad daylight, and the sun had risen above the horizon, casting countless golden rays onto the shimmering sea.
"Yes, Mr. Qin."
Xiao Chen responded and took the bucket to make breakfast.
