Chapter 480 What a load of crap!

Feng Ye smiled but didn't reply. Instead, he lit one for himself.

In his opinion, neither Marlboro nor 555 were particularly outstanding.

The reason why Ah-chan felt differently was probably more of a psychological effect.

This doesn't mean that Ah-chan is a Western worshipper.

After all, in this era, foreign gadgets were always seen as a symbol of high-end and sophisticated things.

Even if you think it's nothing special, you'll always find yourself praising it without even saying it out loud.

After finishing a Marlboro, Feng Ye opened a pack of 555 cigarettes and tossed it to A-Can so he could try it.

As expected, Ah-Can praised it highly, feeling that the taste of Sanwu was quite unique.

"Brother Ye, do you think this boat is filled with nothing but smoke?"

"uncertain."

Feng Ye shook his head. "Although we picked up three boxes of cigarettes, it doesn't mean the whole ship was full of cigarettes. There might be other cargo as well."

"Then do you think it's possible that other goods also fell out, but sank to the bottom of the sea?"

Ah-chan stared thoughtfully at the smuggling ship in the distance, where only the bow was visible.

"This possibility cannot be ruled out."

Feng Ye nodded, then realized something and said in surprise, "Ah Can, you wouldn't be thinking of..."

"I want to dive down and take a look."

Ah Can interrupted Feng Ye, his eyes gleaming with a sense of adventure.

"No, this is too dangerous."

Feng Ye rejected it without hesitation.

"What danger could there be? It's not like we haven't dived before."

"It's too cold, my body can't take it."

At other times, Feng Ye would have dived down to investigate without being told.

But it's too cold now, the water temperature is too low, and it's not suitable for diving.

Losing body temperature underwater is no joke; it's very dangerous.

"But, Brother Ye, if there are other goods sunk below, wouldn't we be missing a great opportunity?"

Ah-chan retorted unwillingly.

"That won't work either."

Feng Ye's tone was very firm, insisting that A-Can should not take the risk.

Safety is more important than any potential wealth.

He continued, "We're already very lucky to have found so many good cigarettes. But we can't let greed disregard our safety."

"Besides, if any goods really sank, they'd probably be unusable after being soaked in seawater for so long."

Although Ah-Can was still unwilling, he understood that Feng Ye's words made sense.

After all, life safety is the most important thing.

"Okay, Brother Ye, I'll listen to you."

He sighed and reluctantly accepted reality.

Feng Ye thought for a moment and then comforted him, "If you're really curious about what else is down there, you can wait until the weather warms up and the seawater temperature rises before diving down to find out."

"Well, let's talk about it in a few days."

Ah-Can accepted the suggestion, then immediately asked, "Brother Ye, what do we do now? Continue trawling, or go back?"

"Look, what time is it?"

Feng Ye pointed to his watch: "It's not even eleven o'clock yet, why are you going back so early?"

"Oh, so that means we'll continue with the trawling."

Ah-chan nodded to indicate that he understood.

"What kind of net are you dragging? You don't think the only light thing that fell off that ship was these three boxes of cigarettes, do you?"

"Brother Ye, what do you mean..."

Feng Ye explained, "Think about it, it was so dark back then, you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face, right?"

"Even if they did find the goods that fell into the sea, it's impossible to retrieve them one by one."

"After all, their first priority was to transfer the cargo on the ship, so they didn't have time to deal with what was in the sea."

"Therefore, I suspect that there are many other things that have been washed away by the sea to other places."

"We can broaden our search and look more carefully."

Upon hearing this, Ah-Can's eyes lit up immediately: "That's right, it wasn't even dawn when that ship ran aground."

"And it's low tide, so there's no telling what might be carried away by the tide to even more distant places."

"Oh dear, how come I didn't think of that?"

"I'm not trying to be mean, but with your blockhead, it's no wonder you couldn't have come up with that."

Feng Ye chuckled and teased A-Can, then urged, "Hurry up and set sail. Let's circle around Treasure Island and see if we find anything else."

Okay.

Ah-chan jumped up excitedly, threw his cigarette butt into the sea, and ran towards the driver's seat.

The Rising Sun started up again, slowly sailing away from the shore and beginning to circle Treasure Island.

Feng Ye stood at the bow of the ship, his sharp gaze sweeping across the sea, paying particular attention to the coastline of Treasure Island.

Since those three boxes of cigarettes could be washed ashore, other items could also have been washed onto nearby beaches or rocks.

The sea breeze, carrying a biting chill, brushed against his face, but he paid no heed.

Compared to the potential discoveries, this bit of cold is nothing.

He was filled with anticipation, hoping to make a discovery.

Several minutes passed, and suddenly his eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed between two rocks not far to his left.

There seems to be something stuck there, it looks like woven fabric.

Just as Feng Ye was about to remind A-Can to take the boat over and check, he heard A-Can's delighted shout.

"Brother Ye, look between those two rocks, it looks like something is stuck there."
