Chapter 788 Not even as good as a dog

The giant grouper seemed to sense the danger and tried to swim away.

But the puddle is only so big, where can it swim to?

Feng Ye seized the opportunity and clapped his hands together, firmly grasping the giant grouper in his grasp.

The giant grouper struggled fiercely in his hands, trying to break free, splashing water all over his face.

A fish weighing over ten kilograms is considered a large fish, and its struggles are quite powerful.

Unable to control it for a moment, he had no choice but to throw it onto the bank of the puddle.

The giant grouper crashed heavily onto the gravel among the rocks, bounced around a few times, and finally calmed down.

"Go ahead and jump around, let's see where you can run now."

Feng Ye patted the fish's head, then picked it up and put it into the bucket.

The fish was too big and the bucket was too small. After it was put in, most of its body was still sticking out of the bucket, and its tail was still swaying outside.

He was a little annoyed at his lack of preparation; he should have brought a snakeskin bag with him.

I always remember to bring a snakeskin bag when I go beachcombing, but I forgot today.

Going back is too far and a waste of time, so I can only make do with this for now.

Carrying a heavy bucket full of spoils, Feng Ye continued his search in the rocky area.

As he walked, he came to a pile of rubble.

The stones here are very large and piled up haphazardly.

Finding seafood in here will take quite a bit of effort.

These large rocks are not easy to turn over. Not only are they heavy, but they are also covered with many oysters, and you could easily get cut if you're not careful.

Feng Ye skipped over it and continued walking forward.

He didn't want to waste his time here; it was likely to be a thankless task, and he might not even find anything even after turning over many stones.

But just as he was about to turn and leave, he caught a glimpse of something unusual out of the corner of his eye.

He stopped and turned around. He saw two stone crabs standing together, waving their pincers, next to a large rock.

I have no idea what they're doing.

fight?

Or mating?

However, Feng Ye had no interest in investigating the behavior of the two stone crabs.

Adhering to the principle of not letting go of anything he saw, he took out the fire tongs and picked up the stone crab on top.

However, even after all this, they still couldn't bear to separate and insisted on stacking together.

The stone crab below was hooked by the foot of the one above, and they were lifted up together.

"Since you're so reluctant to part, then we'll grant your wish and let you go in together."

Feng Ye smiled and shook his head, then put the two stone crabs into the bucket.

Stone crabs don't grow very big; the largest one is only about the size of a child's fist.

However, it tastes quite delicious.

The meat is relatively scarce, and it's mostly concentrated in the claws, with less meat on the body.

Moreover, cooking methods have a significant impact on taste; for example, stir-frying, steaming, or braising with garlic can enhance the flavor.

Having found two stone crabs in the pile of rocks, he decided not to leave.

But he didn't plan to start by flipping the stones; he just used pliers to search through the crevices.

He would only go to the trouble of turning over stones if he was certain there was something there but couldn't get it out.

"Woof..."

Just as he lifted a stone and harvested a blue crab weighing about half a pound, he suddenly heard a dog barking nearby.

Feng Ye turned his head and saw that a black dog had appeared next to him at some point.

It was his little black dog.

The dog has never been leashed since it came to his house.

This also led to it getting used to being wild and running around everywhere.

Aside from staying in the workshop at night, you can only see it during the day around mealtimes.

We rarely see it at other times, and we don't know where it went crazy.

Fortunately, it doesn't bite people, nor does it chase chickens or ducks and cause trouble, so we just let it be.

At this moment, Little Black was tilting its head, staring at him with its big, dark eyes, its tail wagging like a propeller.

The dog's head, four legs, and belly fur were all wet.

Under its right forelimb, there was a sea bass weighing about two pounds.

The sea bass was still alive, its gills were still opening and closing, but it was not far from dying.

Clearly, Xiao Hei had just been in the water.

This sea bass was also just caught by it from the water.

Seeing him looking over, it quickly picked up the sea bass and presented it to Feng Ye like a treasure.

"Little Black, you're really capable! You even know how to catch fish!"

Feng Ye smiled and patted Xiao Hei's head before taking the sea bass out of the dog's mouth.

"Woof woof woof..."

Little Black seemed very happy to hear the praise; its eyes narrowed into slits and its tail wagged even faster.

Feng Ye patted the dog's head again: "Go look for more things, and bring them back. I'll give you extra food when we get back."

I don't know who taught him, or if he learned it on his own, but this guy can actually catch fish.

"Woof woof..."

Xiao Hei barked twice more, seemingly in response to Feng Ye's words, and then ran off in a flash.

Watching Xiao Hei's departing figure, Feng Ye smiled, picked up his bucket, and continued searching in the rocky area.

However, before he could make any progress, Xiao Hei ran back.

This time, it had a conch shell in its mouth, covered with some mud and sand. It was quite large, about 20 centimeters long.

"Wow, so you're not just good at catching fish, you're also good at beachcombing!"

Feng Ye took the conch from Xiao Hei's mouth with delight and examined it. It wasn't an empty shell or a hermit crab; there was real meat inside.

He smiled and patted Xiao Hei's head, praising, "Amazing, amazing! Keep up the good work and try to find some more good stuff."
