At the dock, everyone had been waiting for a long time, chatting idly on the shore, and the supplies were ready.
Upon seeing him return, everyone boarded the ship, ready to cast off and set sail.
Feng Ye quickly boarded the ship and saw that Ye Chenliang was also there, but did not choose to stay, which made him frown slightly.
However, he didn't go over to persuade him.
We're all adults; we have our own choices and considerations. There's no point in saying more.
With the mooring lines untied and the engines roaring, the Dong Sheng slowly departed from the dock and headed towards the vast sea.
Before long, Ye Chenliang started to feel seasick again. He turned pale and vomited uncontrollably while leaning against the ship's side.
On the way here, I had already emptied my stomach, but I still only dry heaved.
Feng Ye glanced at him, feeling somewhat helpless, and stepped forward to pat him on the shoulder: "Go get some sleep, you'll feel better once you're asleep."
Ye Chenliang nodded, forcing a smile, and staggered toward the cabin.
The others were enjoying the sea breeze and chatting on the foredeck.
Everyone was in high spirits when they first set sail, wondering how much they would gain from this voyage.
It wasn't until dark, after dinner, that everyone went to sleep, leaving Feng Xuan alone in the wheelhouse to steer the boat.
Just after midnight, Feng Ye got up to change shifts.
"Brother, where are we?"
"I just contacted Uncle Jun, and it's about a three-hour flight away."
Feng Xuan said, sounding slightly tired, and then gave two more coordinates.
One is their current location, and the other is the coordinates given by Xiao Zhaojun.
"It's a bit slow. We've been driving for almost 8 hours and we still haven't arrived."
"The sea conditions are bad, the wind and waves are big, which affects the speed. It's already pretty good that we've made it this far."
"Go to sleep, I'll drive."
"Hmm, are you alone? Why don't you wake Ah-Can up?"
"Never mind, let him sleep a little longer."
Feng Xuan nodded and turned to go to the sleeping pod at the back.
Feng Ye sat in the driver's seat, glanced at the positioning device, slightly adjusted the course, and switched his gaze back and forth between the sea ahead and the instruments on the bridge.
It's only the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, and the moon is not visible in the latter half of the night. The sea is desolate and pitch black, with only the faint white light of the ship's bow cutting through the waves.
The sky is full of twinkling stars, which foretells that tomorrow will be a sunny day.
Following the coordinates given by Xiao Zhaojun, the Dong Sheng steadily sailed forward on the sea.
However, by the time they get there, they definitely won't be able to see Harvest at these coordinates.
After all, the Harvest Ship couldn't just stop in one place to wait for them; it must be in the middle of operations, just not too far off course.
More than two hours later, the Dong Sheng arrived at the coordinates and, as expected, did not see the Feng Shou.
Feng Ye picked up the walkie-talkie and tried to contact Harvest. His voice sounded exceptionally clear in the quiet night sky.
After only one call, Xiao Zhaojun responded.
"Ah Ye, where are we?"
"Uncle Jun, we've arrived at the coordinates you gave us. Where are you now?"
"We are to your southeast."
Xiao Zhaojun then reported a new set of coordinates.
Feng Ye quickly adjusted the course and asked, "Have you finished hauling in the net? What was the catch?"
The Harvest ship set sail directly and arrived two or three hours earlier than them, having already completed its first haul.
"We've just started closing in, so it's unclear what the harvest will be like."
"Then you guys go ahead with your work, we'll be right there."
After another half hour of driving, we finally spotted a fishing light on the dark sea.
After connecting with the number, it was confirmed that it was indeed the Harvest number.
Xiao Zhaojun then told him about their first catch.
"Haha, what a great catch! The first net was overflowing with fish, weighing about 7,000 jin. Sure enough, there are plenty of fish after a typhoon."
Upon hearing this, Feng Ye was overjoyed: "That's great, let's log off right away."
He disconnected the line, slowed the boat down, and then ran into the sleeping cabin to wake up Ah-Can and Han Qi-Wen.
As for his brother-in-law, let him continue sleeping.
Compared to the coastal waters, the sea conditions here are better, but the boat is still rocking quite badly. He'll probably get seasick and won't be able to work.
“Ah Can, you steer the boat, your uncle and I will go set the nets.”
After a boring few hours of sailing, Feng Ye didn't want to stay in the wheelhouse any longer and preferred to go down and do some work.
The trawl net was already prepared when it came out; now all we need to do is lower it into the water.
The two men went to the stern, lifted the trawl net onto the stern slipway, and then worked together to push it into the sea.
The trawl net enters the water and quickly sinks to the seabed, blending into the dark seawater.
For the next three hours, with nothing much to do, the two chatted idly on the deck, occasionally gazing at the stars, hoping for a good catch.
Han Qiwen had had enough sleep, while Feng Ye didn't want to be woken up to work while he was sound asleep; that would be too painful.
It's better to wait until morning and wait for Feng Xuan and his group to get up before going to sleep.
Time slipped away silently in the darkness.
Finally, the fishing lights on the sea continued to flicker, but the night gradually faded, and the east began to lighten.
A new day is about to begin.
The first light of dawn gradually spread across the horizon, and a cool sea breeze caressed their faces.
As the first rays of sunlight fell, golden ripples spread across the sea, and it was time to haul in the nets.
Feng Ye didn't intend to wake his brother-in-law, but unexpectedly, not long after they started setting up the net, Ye Chenliang woke up on his own and went down to the deck.
Looking at his haggard face, Feng Ye was somewhat surprised: "Why did you get up? Why aren't you lying down anymore?"
