Chapter 813 Departure Ahead of Schedule

After discussing it, Feng Ye pointed to the seven bags on the ground: "Brother, A-Can, each of you take one back."

"Did someone surnamed Nie send this? What's inside?"

Ah-Can ran over excitedly and picked up a bag.

Feng Ye said casually, "A pack of cigarettes and a bottle of wine."

"How stingy."

Ah-Can pursed his lips, casually opened the bag, and immediately exclaimed, "Holy crap, so generous!"

"What is it?"

When Feng Xuan opened the bag, she immediately exclaimed in surprise, "A pack of Zhonghua cigarettes and a bottle of Moutai! This person is so generous!"

Feng Ye ignored them, picked up a bag and handed it to Ye Chenliang: "This is yours."

Ye Chenliang took the bag with delight: "I have one too?"

"Everyone on the ship gets one."

"This person wasn't saved in vain..."

"Yes, it wasn't a waste of time to save them."

"I really hope this kind of good thing happens more often..."

Feng Ye laughed and said, "Stop dreaming. Be careful, or you might actually pull up a corpse next time."

Ah-chan retorted, "A corpse is a corpse. It's not like we haven't retrieved them before."

Feng Jialing glared at him: "Don't talk nonsense. Going to sea requires good fortune."

"Yes, we're going out to sea this afternoon, so let's not say anything unlucky."

...

After lunch, Xiao Mingshi and the other three gradually gathered together.

Feng Ye handed them the bags as well, telling them to take them back and come back later.

They were equally delighted, muttering things like how generous they were and how the rescue hadn't been in vain.

When they came again, Feng Ye sailed them out, along with everyone from the Harvest.

"Hey, where's A-Ye? I can't see him."

It wasn't until the boat had sailed some distance away that Xiao Zhaojun belatedly realized Feng Ye was missing.

Feng Xuan pointed to the wheelhouse: "Drive the boat from inside."

"oh."

Xiao Zhaojun didn't think much of it.

However, when he boarded the Harvest, he found that Feng Ye hadn't boarded the East Rising, but instead was sailing back. He asked with a puzzled look, "Ah Ye, aren't you coming out to sea with us?"

Feng Ye smiled and said, "I still have some things to take care of. You guys go ahead, I'll meet up with you in a few days."

"A few days later, what do you mean?"

Xiao Zhaojun frowned, even more confused.

They've all gone out to sea, how can they reunite?

Unless the Dong Sheng ship specifically runs back to shore to pick up people?

But that's obviously not very practical; going back and forth would be too much of a waste of time.

Feng Ye said calmly, "I'll buy a boat tomorrow and go out to sea in a couple of days."

"What? Buy a boat?"

Xiao Zhaojun's voice unconsciously grew louder, attracting the attention of people on both boats.

He then bombarded him with a series of questions: "Is it a second-hand boat? How big is it? Who recommended it? How did you suddenly find a boat? I never heard you mention looking for a second-hand boat..."

"It's a long story. To avoid delaying our departure, you should ask my brother and Ah-Can. They both know the answer."

Feng Ye pointed towards the Dong Sheng ship, then sailed away, leaving Xiao Zhaojun looking completely bewildered.

Although Xiao Zhaojun really wanted to figure out what was going on, he could only suppress his curiosity for the time being and turned around to check the Harvest's machines.

Then he went up to the wheelhouse, started the engine, and while navigating the ship, he contacted the Dong Sheng via radio to inquire about the specific situation.

Feng Ye had no idea what Feng Xuan and A Can said to Xiao Zhaojun.

However, just as he got home and poured himself a cup of tea, his father rushed over.

"Ah Ye, I've thought about it. Let's not wait until tomorrow. Let's head to Xiamen Island this afternoon."

Feng Ye was taken aback, almost dropping his teacup: "So soon?"

"Here's what I was thinking: whether we go by boat or by car from the shore, it will take several hours, and we won't get to Xiamen Island until noon."

It might take an entire afternoon to go see the boat and complete the paperwork; it's not certain that we can get everything done.

"Then let's set off now. We'll have a whole day to get things done tomorrow, and maybe we can sail back by tomorrow afternoon."

"But that means we'll have to stay overnight on Xiamen Island."

“Let’s stay here. We don’t need to go ashore. We can sleep on the boat and anchor in the middle of the sea, which is safer. We don’t have to worry about being targeted or having our money stolen or robbed.”

Feng Ye thought his father made sense, so he nodded and said, "Okay, I'll get ready and we'll leave in a bit."

"I'll go call Old Seven."

Feng Jiaqing hurriedly went out again to find Feng Jialing.

Feng Ye finished his tea and went to the workshop to find Ye Qingling.

The money was always kept by Ye Qingling; he didn't have the key and had to ask her for it.

The main problem is that he spends less time at home than at sea throughout the year, so having the key is useless and he still has to worry about losing it.

Feng Ye entered the workshop and walked over to Ye Qingling, who was turning over the dried fish that had been drying for the past two days.

"Ah Ling, Dad just came over and told me we're going to Xiamen Island soon. Go home and get me some money."

Ye Qingling stopped what she was doing, looked up, and frowned slightly: "Didn't you say you were going tomorrow? Why did you suddenly change it to going right now?"

Feng Ye smiled and repeated what his father had told him.

"Oh, okay... I'll go back and get the money for you right away."

Ye Qingling patted the fish scales off her hands and followed Feng Ye home.

Not long after, Feng Ye arrived at the dock with Feng Jiaqing and Feng Jialing, carrying a shoulder bag.

They quickly boarded the ship and started the engine.

With a roar, the small boat slowly sailed away from the dock and sped off in the northeast direction.
