At noon, Feng Ye was called up for lunch.
He stretched and stepped out of the sleeping pod, not feeling the glaring sunlight.
Looking ahead through the windshield, I saw that the sky was gloomy and very murky.
"Huh? It was fine this morning, how did it turn cloudy?"
"You haven't been asleep for long, and it's already turned into this. But it's alright, it's cooler without the sun."
"What I'm afraid of is a change in the weather. If it gets windy and rainy, that would be troublesome."
Feng Ye frowned, a hint of worry rising in his heart.
The weather at sea can change in an instant; once a strong wind blows, the waves can become turbulent.
At that time, fishing operations will have to be stopped, and fishermen will have to find shelter from the wind or return to shore.
"It's not too hot or humid, so the weather shouldn't change."
Feng Xuan glanced at the sky and frowned. "Besides, I checked the weather forecast before I came out, and it didn't say there would be any rain in the near future."
"If weather forecasts were reliable, pigs could fly."
Feng Ye muttered something to himself.
Feng Xuan happened to overhear this and turned to look at him in confusion: "What are you muttering about?"
"Uh...it's nothing."
Feng Ye shook his head and then asked, "After we went to sleep, how many nets did we cast? What was the catch?"
"We cast our net around 10:30 and had a pretty good catch. We must have run into a school of yellowfin tuna and caught over 1,000 jin of them."
"Oh, yellow chicks, not bad. So the next net should be pulled up around two o'clock?"
"Okay, you go eat first."
"Okay, I'll eat first, then it's your turn to eat."
"good."
Feng Ye left the wheelhouse, went down to the deck, walked to the side of the ship, and prepared to release water.
Then you see Ah Chan and his two friends squatting in a neat row, each holding a red toilet paper, a cigarette dangling from their lips, their backsides facing the sea.
Conditions on board are limited, so there aren't many rules to follow.
Whether it's urinating or defecating, they always do it on the side of the ship, letting it flow freely into the sea.
This is also a major reason, besides superstition, why women are not allowed to board the ship.
Feng Ye chuckled wryly.
There were only a few people on the boat, and it's quite a coincidence that they could all take a dump together.
He didn't bother them, but went about his business by running the water and washing up.
After he finished brushing his teeth and washing his face, the three of them had just finished using the toilet. They didn't even wash their hands before going to eat.
He was used to it and had long since become accustomed to it.
These days, it's really rare to see people who pay attention to hygiene.
Lunch was again mainly seafood, with vegetables as a side dish.
At sea, there's nothing else, but seafood is plentiful; you could eat until you're sick of it.
In the afternoon, everyone on the ship except the helmsman was working on the deck.
They fished for another afternoon and night without much excitement, finally filling the entire fish hold almost to capacity.
All told, we've been working on this for over two days now, starting from the first net.
The harvest was nothing compared to the previous voyage.
However, Feng Ye knew very well that this was actually the normal harvest for a large ship going out to sea.
His ability to attract fish has not yet been fully utilized; we'll have to wait and see in the next few days.
He got up earlier today, before Ah Chan.
When handing over the shift in the morning, Feng Xuan first told him about the harvest in the second half of the night.
Then he continued, "The Harvest Ship is almost full. Uncle Jun has already contacted a cargo ship to come and collect seafood. Keep an eye on it."
"Okay, I understand. You can go and get some rest."
Feng Ye sat alone in the wheelhouse, idly steering the boat.
Compared to yesterday, the weather is a bit better today. It's mostly cloudy with the sun appearing and disappearing intermittently.
The temperature wasn't particularly hot; it was quite comfortable and suitable for outdoor work.
He drove the boat for a while, and after Ah-chan got up and had breakfast, he handed over the boring driving task.
Anyway, Ah Chan loves driving boats and never gets tired of it.
He himself went up to the deck and worked with Ye Chenliang and Du Yulin while chatting and joking around.
After sorting the goods, Feng Ye stretched and inadvertently noticed a ship appearing on the distant sea.
Du Yulin also saw it and let out a soft "Eh?": "Isn't that the yacht we encountered the day before yesterday?"
Feng Ye nodded: "Yes, that's it."
That flashy red color makes it instantly recognizable.
"I thought they went back the day before yesterday, but I didn't expect them to get ahead of us again."
Du Yulin said with some surprise.
Ye Chenliang determined the direction: "They're heading west; they should be heading back now."
Who knows?
Feng Ye shrugged. "Forget about it. Let's get the deck cleaned up quickly; we need to haul in the nets soon."
However, to his surprise, the yacht was heading straight towards them.
And it's not slow either.
Feng Ye frowned, a hint of doubt rising in his heart.
What's the meaning behind this yacht?
Do they need to ask for help?
That's possible.
No matter what kind of ship it is, encountering unexpected situations is not uncommon, and it is normal to ask other ships for help.
Just as Feng Ye was filled with suspicion, the yacht was getting closer and closer.
You can clearly see several young men and women standing on the deck, pointing at a large fish hanging on the foredeck and talking to each other.
Feng Ye was both amused and exasperated by what he saw.
Damn, so he caught a big fish and came over to show off.
He had already recognized the large fish hanging on the foredeck; it was a bluefin tuna.
