Chapter 712 Full of Twists and Turns

Feng Ye pulled hard backward, dragging the hairy catfish out from the corner of the wall.

This fish was incredibly strong. Once caught, it struggled frantically, constantly twisting its massive body in an attempt to break free.

But Feng Ye wouldn't let it have its way; he gripped the hook tightly with both hands, holding on firmly.

Seeing this, the others also wanted to step forward to help, but they were powerless to do so.

They left in such a hurry that they forgot to take their tools.

At this point, the boat was rocking violently, making it difficult to even stand.

The fish was so big that there was no way to catch it; all we could do was stare at it helplessly.

"Ah Ye, hang in there, I'll go get the knife."

As Feng Xuan spoke, he turned and struggled toward the cabin.

The others also realized what was happening and went back to find their tools.

Just as they returned to the cabin, another huge wave surged in, its spray crashing onto the deck from the stern ramp.

The stern of the boat was also lifted up by the surging waves.

While struggling with the catfish, Feng Ye suddenly lost his balance and fell onto the deck, dropping the hook in his hand.

The whole person, along with the hairy catfish, was carried by the waves and crashed into the wall of the ship's deck.

"Damn it!"

He was terrified and tried to grab something to steady himself.

The aft deck was certainly not empty; there were plenty of things he could use to steady himself.

The problem is, it's too far away for him to reach!

Therefore, he could only watch helplessly as he and the hairy catfish were pushed by the waves and crashed into the hard walls of the ship's deck.

Fortunately, he was feet-first, which allowed him to brace himself against the wall and reduce the impact.

Otherwise, if the head is in front, the collision would definitely result in a bloody head injury.

That hairy catfish wasn't so lucky.

It was pushed by the waves and slammed hard against the wall with a loud bang.

Then it slid down onto the deck, its struggles noticeably less intense, probably because it had been knocked unconscious.

Feng Ye secretly felt a surge of relief.

Before the stern of the boat could sink, he quickly moved towards the catfish using both hands and feet, and gripped the hook tightly in his hand again.

Immediately, he pulled the hairy fish towards the side of the boat.

There was nothing on the wall for him to steady himself on, so he could only grab onto the railing on the ship's side.

Soon, the waves passed.

The stern dropped down, while the bow rose up.

The seawater that surged onto the ship also flowed towards the stern, and then flowed back into the sea through the stern slide.

The hairy catfish was also carried towards the stern of the boat.

Fortunately, Feng Ye had already grabbed the railing, which gave him a foothold, and with his other hand he gripped the hook tightly, preventing the catfish from slipping away.

However, this hairy catfish was too heavy.

Even though he had used all his strength, he could only barely hold on.

Feng Ye's heart was in his throat.

He was genuinely afraid that the catfish would start struggling violently again, and then he really wouldn't be able to hold it back.

At that point, the hook will inevitably slip out of your hand again, and you'll be left watching helplessly as the fish slides into the sea.

Fortunately, the catfish seemed to have been hit quite hard, as it didn't move much, only twitching occasionally.

This allowed him to hold on.

"Brother Ye, I'm here."

At that moment, Ah-Can rushed out of the cabin, holding a knife in one hand and a rope in the other.

Moreover, he also had a rope tied around his waist.

The other ends of the two ropes extended from inside the cabin and were being held tightly by Feng Xuan and the others.

Ah-Can staggered over to Feng Ye's side, first tying the rope he had brought over around Feng Ye's waist, and then taking the knife to deal with the hairy catfish.

With the back support, Feng Ye immediately felt much more at ease.

He could finally let go of the railing and focus all his energy on dealing with the hairy catfish.

Even if he accidentally falls again, there's nothing to be afraid of; Feng Xuan and the others will catch him.

He was in such a hurry when he left that he didn't think of this for a moment.

Otherwise, we wouldn't have ended up in such a sorry state, or even in danger.

Ah-chan approached the catfish, took a deep breath, found the right spot, and brought the knife down without hesitation.

The massive body of the hairy catfish struggled violently once more, but ultimately it was too late.

Blood gushed out, staining the deck red, but was quickly diluted by seawater and flowed into the sea.

Feng Ye held onto the hook tightly with both hands, refusing to let go no matter how much she struggled.

Until its struggles become less and less intense, and finally it comes to complete stillness.

Ah-chan then made another cut on its pectoral fin and tail to bleed the catfish.

"Brother Ye, it's done!"

He wiped the rain off his face, looked at Feng Ye, and gave a victorious smile.

Feng Ye also smiled, a very bright smile.

"Great, now it really can't escape."

As he spoke, he began to forcefully drag the carcass of the hairy catfish.

However, this catfish was so large that even though it was dead, its weight was still astonishing.

In addition, the boat was rocking constantly, and even after Feng Ye pulled for a long time, it only moved a short distance.

"Ah-Can, come on up, this thing is too heavy."

With their combined efforts, the two slowly dragged the carcass of the hairy catfish along the passageway toward the cabin door.

Feng Ye and the others slowly pulled in the rope to ensure the safety of the two men.

After the hairy catfish was dragged to the cabin door, it was not rushed to be dragged into the cabin.

Instead, they were tied with a rope and placed in the passageway outside, waiting for the blood to drain completely.
